Shimen Jiashan in Changde, Hunan | Two mountains sandwiched together, one mountain connected
🍃Jiashan National Forest Park is located in the Nineteen Peaks Mountain Range of the Wuling Mountains, about 8 kilometers away from Shimen County.
It is named Jiashan because of the "two mountains sandwiched together and a passage in the middle of the mountain".
🍃The forest coverage rate of Jiashan Forest Park reaches over 90%. The air in the park is fresh and the environment is elegant. It has become a famous scenic spot in the south of the Yangtze River with its long cultural history and beautiful natural scenery. It is one of the first national forest parks authorized to use the special logo of China National Forest Park; it has also been rated as a "China 4A-level tourist area." Jiashan is also the birthplace of tea and Zen, famous in East Asia.

1️⃣ Li Zicheng's Tomb
It is the tomb of Li Zicheng, the King of Chuang. This tomb was donated by a private person. There is an exhibition introducing Li Zicheng's deeds in the wing room on one side. Interestingly, on the corridors on both sides of the mausoleum, there are engraved plates introducing Li Zicheng's deeds, which are very lifelike. The entire mausoleum of King Chuang covers an area of more than 30 acres, consisting of mausoleum walls, purple stone archways, sacred roads, mausoleums, Ming buildings, sacred corridors, memorial halls, and Yefu Towers. It is solemn and magnificent, and is known as the "No. 1 Mausoleum in Hunan and Xiangxi". 2️⃣ Jiashan Temple There are many ancient buildings inside, which are worth going in and taking a look. This temple can satisfy most of your imaginations about ancient temples. According to research, Jiashan had temple buildings in the Jin Dynasty. Jiashan Temple was called Puci Temple since the Tang Dynasty. It was called "Lingquan Zen Temple" from the Song Dynasty to the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty. It was built in 870 AD. At the end of the Ming Dynasty and the beginning of the Qing Dynasty, Li Zicheng was defeated and presided over this place for 30 years, and passed away here. Many locals come here to burn incense and pray
3️⃣Biyan Lake
In front of the main gate of Jiashan Temple, it is named after the two springs that flow out from under the five stone peaks. If you don't want to burn incense and worship Buddha, and you are not interested in history, you can travel around Biyan Lake. There are many kinds of transportation nearby to travel around the lake.
