Punch Hubei Province Bo, a few standing pavilions are to see, of course, half a day is really not enough [Yan Shou] focus is Zeng Houyi, too many good things! Then Liang Zhuangwang, Chu Culture Exhibition, the people of Pixian County, the art of earth and fire (the main porcelain), the treasure of the town hall is in these pavilions - one afternoon is really enjoyable, but also true To vomit, many of them are replicas, especially Zeng Houyi's, bronze replicas, very uncomfortable, the more Wang Gou Jianjian, the Yuan Qinghua four love Tumei bottles are also replicas, just want to cry! Figure 1 to Figure 4 are the treasures of the town hall. Unfortunately, the 3rd and 4th are replicas. Figure 5 to Figure 9 are Zeng Houyi. However, 798 is also a replica, resentment!

The museum is really a very magical place. Although the artifacts don't speak, history is always whispering to people. The Hubei Provincial Museum in Wuhan has one of the largest ancient musical instrument showrooms in China in the tomb of Zenghou Yi, and this exhibition hall is also one of the essence of the museum.
If you want to know more about the secrets and excitement of Zenghou Yi's tomb, the Hubei Provincial Museum has to find out. It is best to go in when you open the door in the morning. The museum's collection of cultural relics is not only the tomb of Zenghou Yi, but the four large exhibition halls of the museum's four major town halls have already stood for a long time!

Hubei Provincial Museum, don't just check in!
The provincial museum is in Wuchang District, and Line 8 of the rail transit is nearby, so the transportation is quite convenient. The front of the gate is very wide and spectacular. Tickets need to be reserved in advance, and it is recommended to buy a small group tour. Group tickets have a separate entrance channel, and the content inside is too rich to understand by yourself, so don't just check in! Watch it immersively. The two-hour tour actually ends in an hour and a half. There are several exhibition halls, and it takes at least two hours to visit them all. It is very rewarding and is probably the most valuable place to visit in Wuhan!

Beisi Pagoda, a lesser-known ancient temple in Suzhou in autumn.
Beisi Pagoda, a lesser-known ancient temple in Suzhou in autumn.
📖 This ancient pagoda standing in the ancient city of Suzhou rarely appears on travelers' itineraries. Few people know that it is the oldest existing temple in Suzhou, and even Hanshan Temple calls it "big brother."
In autumn 🍂🍂, the "lesser-known" Beisi Pagoda is covered in gold, making the ancient beauty of Suzhou even more retro!
✨ Autumn scenery:
👍 "The oldest temple in Suzhou":
Beisi Pagoda is very close to the Suzhou Museum, only a 15-minute walk away. I saw its towering figure as soon as I got off the subway to the Suzhou Museum.
It is said to have been built during the Three Kingdoms period, more than 1,700 years ago. Despite the vicissitudes of history, it still stands tall.
The pagoda has nine floors and is 76 meters high. It is said to have been the tallest pagoda in the ancient city of Suzhou, and you could see the whole city from the top. Of course, you can't climb the pagoda now to protect the cultural relics, which is a shame. 😭😭
🍁 Yellow leaves and red maples
Mid-November is when the ginkgo trees in the temple turn yellow and the maple leaves turn red.
Standing at the foot of the pagoda and looking up, the sunlight ☀ shining through the leaves is so beautiful.
By the end of November, the ginkgo leaves 🍂🍂 will fall all over the ground, covering the temple, and it will be even more beautiful.
The red leaves 🍁🍁 next to Beisi Pagoda rustle in the wind, accompanied by the sound of wind chimes 🔔 on the eaves, making you feel like you are listening to the Buddha.

"Tour of Hubei Provincial Museum"
"Tour of Hubei Provincial Museum"
Hubei Provincial Museum is a treasure trove that history and culture enthusiasts cannot miss.
The museum is open from 9:00 to 17:00, and admission stops at 16:00. It is closed on Mondays. It is very convenient to get there. Take Metro Line 8 to Shengbo Hubei Daily Station Exit A, and walk 600 meters to get there. If you choose to take a taxi, be sure to locate the south gate.
There are many tips for entering the museum. Large luggage can be stored at the north gate exit, and small items can be stored at the service desk on the B1 floor of the South Museum. Here you can only enter from the south gate and exit from the north gate.
Start the tour, and here is a recommended tour route. At 9 o'clock in the morning, go straight to the "King Goujian's Sword Exhibition Hall" on the second floor. There are fewer people at this time, and you can see the legendary sword without having to queue up. After watching the sword, next to it is the "Zeng Hou Yi Exhibition Hall" that spans two floors. The treasure of the town hall, the chime bell, is on the first floor. Those exquisite bronzes will surely amaze you at the wisdom and skills of the ancients. Then visit the "Zeng Family Exhibition Hall" on the second floor with many exquisite bronzes.
Then go to the third floor. The "800 Years of Chu State Exhibition Hall" shows the long history and culture of Chu State. The "Liangzhuang King Collection Exhibition Hall" is full of glittering gold and jewelry, which is dazzling. Finally, go to the B1 floor to watch the wonderful "Chime Bell Performance" and feel the wonderful melody played by the ancient musical instruments. The "Tianlai - Early Musical Instruments Unearthed in Hubei" exhibition hall next to the performance can also see precious cultural relics such as Chongyang Bronze Drum.
After the visit, you can leave from the north gate. Here, it seems to travel through thousands of years. Each exhibit is a witness to history, quietly telling the stories of the past, which is immersive and an enriching and unforgettable cultural journey.

One Day in Wuhan
Before the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day, I visited Wuhan again. I took a day trip and chose my own route. First, I went to Guiyuan Temple to pray, then walked to Guqintai to visit, and then to Guishan Mountain. I also visited Qingchuan Pavilion at the confluence of the Han River and the Yangtze River. At noon, I finished my trip in Jianghan District and took a bus to Hubei Provincial Museum, which I had booked in advance. The museum has a rich collection of exhibits and masterpieces, which are amazing. In the afternoon, I visited Baotong Temple, the oldest surviving temple in Wuhan. In the evening, my last stop of the day was the Chu River Han Street, known as the "No. 1 Commercial Street in China".

Hubei Provincial Museum | Go see the world's number one sword
| Go see the world's number one sword. The must-see in the Hubei Provincial Museum is the Sword of Goujian, King of Yue. This sword is not only the personal sword of King Goujian but also represents the highest level of short weapon manufacturing at that time. The sword's hilt curls outward into a circular ring, with 11 concentric circles cast inside, each spaced only 0.2 millimeters apart. The blade is covered with regular black diamond-shaped patterns, with blue glass inlaid on the front of the guard and turquoise on the back, earning it the title of 'the world's number one sword.' It is still visibly sharp in the museum today. Of course, if you use it to scold someone, it would be quite sharp too. If your boss fines you or your partner makes you angry, you can send them this picture, haha, just kidding.
The museum's treasure also includes a complete set of Zenghouyi chime bells, each bell producing two tones, capable of playing many different melodies, which can be said to have changed the history of world music. If Boss Xu's dance troupe used these, a little hammer tap would get everyone dancing.
Next, there are brightly colored floral-patterned cups and plates, a lustrous sixteen-section dragon and phoenix jade belt, and the unparalleled Zenghouyi zunpan. Being a king must have been enjoyable, and being a marquis must have been fun. Who understands the life of having grape wine in luminous cups, and a pile of money and beauties!
There are also crystal-clear enamel inlaid gemstone bracelets, golden gemstone-inlaid white jade, and dazzling golden phoenix hairpins... Even the men would drool over these, let alone the ladies and young girls. No jewelry store outside can compare. Speaking of which, I advise the gentlemen not to bring their partners here, because even if they like something, it's not for sale. However, ladies can bring their mothers-in-law or future mothers-in-law to admire. If you can't help but exclaim in awe, hey, they might take you to a jewelry store to buy something to soothe your mood.
The only downside is the crowd, the lines...
Finally, let me ask everyone: Will you bring your partner?
Tickets: Free (reservation required in advance)
Hours: Tuesday to Sunday, 09:00-17:00

The legendary Zeng Hou Yi chime bells are truly magnificent
Tickets for the Hubei Provincial Museum are really hard to get!
Since we are here, how can we not see the legendary Zeng Hou Yi chime bells?
So we temporarily booked a guide on Ctrip, about 50¥ per person. We went directly through the team channel, and the guide gave a detailed explanation of the Zeng Hou Yi series of stories. Otherwise, just looking at the chime bells wouldn't make much sense, so it's highly recommended!
⭐️ There is luggage storage inside the museum
⭐️ There are restrooms on each floor, but they are very crowded
⭐️ There is food available, sandwiches are about 35 yuan each, and coffee is about 20 yuan per cup. There are many cultural and creative products
⭐️ The main exhibition areas are divided into: ① Burial artifacts of Zeng Hou Yi + ② Sword of Goujian, King of Yue + ③ Eight Hundred Years of the State of Chu + ④ Special Exhibition of Prince Liangzhuang
① Burial artifacts of Zeng Hou Yi:
The most famous among them is the Zeng Hou Yi chime bells with a history of 2400 years. It is the treasure of the museum and is not allowed to be exhibited abroad. Zeng Hou Yi (surname Ji, clan Nangong, given name Yi) was the ruler of the Zeng state, a vassal state of the Zhou dynasty. His tomb was discovered during the expansion of a radar repair facility of the Wuhan Air Force. It was completely submerged in water, so the bronze artifacts were well preserved, but the silk and leather were damaged.
The chime bells are particularly magnificent. The exhibition area restores the layout of the tomb. The largest eastern chamber houses the outer and inner coffins of Zeng Hou Yi. Besides the main coffin of the ruler, there are eight accompanying coffins; the western chamber houses thirteen accompanying coffins; the northern chamber houses weapons, chariots, and bamboo slips; the central hall is approximately the music room and reception hall of the tomb owner, containing a large number of ritual musical instruments; at the doorway from the eastern chamber to the central hall, there is also a dog coffin.
② Sword of Goujian, King of Yue:
It represents the highest level of short weapon manufacturing at the time and is known as the "First Sword Under Heaven." Its importance lies in that it was the personal sword of Goujian, King of Yue. It suffered slight damage during an exhibition in Singapore, and it has been prohibited from being exhibited abroad since 2013. This sword was unearthed in the tomb of a noble of the State of Chu in Jiangling, Hubei. One theory is that it was part of the dowry when Goujian married his daughter to King Zhao of Chu, who later gave it to a noble, making it a burial item of that noble. Another theory is that it was a war trophy brought back to Chu when the State of Chu invaded the State of Yue, eventually becoming a burial item.
③ Eight Hundred Years of the State of Chu: Showcases the history of the State of Chu
④ Special Exhibition of Prince Liangzhuang: This exhibition mainly focuses on the dazzling and splendid jewelry of Princess Liangzhuang. After the early death of his first wife, Ji Shi, Prince Liangzhuang married Wei Shi, a commoner, as his second wife. Since Wei Shi had no children, the gold and silver jewelry given to her by Zhu Zhanji had no heirs and were buried with her in the tomb of Prince Liangzhuang.
⭐️ Overall, the burial artifacts exhibition area of Zeng Hou Yi is the best and most magnificent.
🎫 Admission is free, but reservations are required in advance

A trip to Wuhan
The city by the Yangtze River~ Wuhan, I love visiting museums. Traveling to Wuhan Hubei Provincial Museum, a representative of the Warring States period culture, saw many precious cultural relics, love it so much!! Can't help but sigh! The history of our country's humanities is long and the cultural heritage is profound! (Thinking back to visiting the Bangkok Museum many years ago, their collections can't compare to ours). Next time, I also want to visit Henan, Shaanxi, etc. I've been to the Forbidden City many times, and I still want to take my children there again in the future.

240317 Wuhan 2-Day Trip 01
【Introduction】: Visiting Wuhan in March, I returned to the place where I went to college, and everywhere I went brought back many memories. I spent 2 days visiting the Hubei Provincial Museum and the East Lake Cherry Blossom Garden.
⛺【Must-Visit Local Spot】: Hubei Provincial Museum
🛬【Travel Guide】: The first place I visited was the Hubei Provincial Museum. Although it is free, you need to make a reservation in advance.
1. The Hubei Provincial Museum mainly exhibits the culture of the Chu State during the Spring and Autumn and Warring States periods. The Chu people revered the phoenix, so the walls of the main hall are intricately carved with phoenix totems.
2. The highlight is the Zenghouyi Exhibition Hall. Zenghouyi was the ruler of the Zeng State (also known as the Sui State), a vassal state of the Zhou royal family. The artistic level of the bronze artifacts on display is breathtaking. There are many types of bronze artifacts, each with different shapes, giving me the impression that the life of ancient nobility was quite complicated, with different utensils for eating meat, rice, and drinking wine, all with strict hierarchical distinctions. Among them, the bronze chime bells are the largest and most complete musical instruments unearthed to date. The twelve-tone system is complete, and so far, the Zenghouyi chime bells have only been publicly played three times: the first time after they were unearthed and restored; the second time during the 35th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China in 1979; and the third time in 1997 for the symphony "1997: Heaven, Earth, and Man" to celebrate the return of Hong Kong.
3. A notable detail in this exhibition hall is that the bronze artifacts indicate that Zenghouyi enjoyed the "Nine Dings and Eight Gui" ritual, which was a privilege reserved for the Zhou king. According to the Zhou ritual and music system, vassals were only allowed to use "Seven Dings and Six Gui," reflecting the decline of the Zhou royal family in the late Zhou period and the common practice of vassals overstepping their bounds.
4. The treasure of the museum is the Sword of Goujian, King of Yue. A special exhibition hall is dedicated to displaying the Sword of Goujian, and there are always long lines of people waiting to see it. The exhibition area is crowded with people. The Sword of Goujian was unearthed from another noble's tomb (not King Goujian's tomb), and because it was a personal sword, it is very well-preserved and visibly sharp. In contrast, the Spear of Fuchai, King of Wu, displayed nearby, is much less popular. However, the Spear of Fuchai was actually used as a weapon, and you can see some nicks on the spearhead up close.
5. The chime bell performance at the Hubei Provincial Museum is highly recommended. I watched it when I was in college. It features traditional Chinese instruments, and the final piece is a modern symphony played with the chime bells. It is very enjoyable and interesting. However, tickets are limited and must be purchased in advance. I couldn't get a ticket this time because I was in line to see the Sword of Goujian.
🏨【Accommodation Guide】: No need to worry about accommodation. The metro is the best choice for city transportation. Wuhan's metro system is well-developed and can take you anywhere in the city. Driving and parking are very inconvenient.
🧡【Tips】: 1. Tickets for the chime bell performance are very limited and usually sell out in the morning. If you want to watch it, the first thing you should do when you enter the museum is to buy a ticket. 2. The line for the Sword of Goujian exhibition is very long. It is recommended to go during lunchtime when there are fewer people.

When the summer sun is unbearably hot, why not seek a cool place for a time-traveling journey of the soul? The museum is such a perfect place where you can both escape the heat and experience the shock of history.
The moment you step into the museum, it's as if you've traveled to another time and space. Stunning! Breathtaking! The national treasures in the Hubei Provincial Museum
No wonder the Hubei Provincial Museum is a must-visit destination for tourists in Wuhan. In addition to being a national first-class museum, it also boasts another important title—one of the top ten key national museums. Not to mention the 240,000 pieces (sets) of collections and over a thousand pieces (sets) of national first-class cultural relics, just the fact that among the top ten treasures of the museum, there are two national treasures (the Zenghou Yi Chime Bells and the Sword of Goujian, King of Yue), is incredibly attractive and tempting.
To be sure, I successfully made a reservation five days in advance in the early morning. Remember: be sure to book online in advance (seniors over 60 can book without an appointment). Finally, as I wished, I stepped into the museum and slowly moved with the flow of people. Under the guidance of the 'Visitor's Guide', I got an overall feel for the main museum area's '品'-shaped architectural structure.
The first and second floors mainly exhibit Zenghou Yi and the Zeng family, divided into six parts: 'Respect for Heaven and Ancestors, Golden Sound and Jade Vibration, Esteemed as if Presenting, Observing the Heavens to Grant Time, Chariots and Horses for Reliance, and Eternal Preservation for Enjoyment'. Here comes my question: who was Zenghou Yi, and why does he occupy such a large exhibition hall in the museum? It turns out that Zenghou Yi was the ruler of the Zeng state, a feudal state during the Zhou dynasty. His tomb was discovered in Suixian, Hubei in 1978, revealing the secrets of this little-known king. From the more than 15,000 exquisitely crafted and unparalleled cultural relics unearthed, it is evident that he had a wide range of interests, was a military strategist skilled in chariots, and had a particular love for music. The national treasure, the Zenghou Yi Chime Bells, are displayed here.
The second floor 'Sword of Goujian, King of Yue' exhibition hall is particularly eye-catching. There is a long queue all day, and every time a few dozen people are let in, no flash photography is allowed. People crowd around in three layers inside and three layers outside to witness the elegance of the sword. I finally squeezed to the front, but the photos I took were not ideal. To avoid regrets, I queued up again to enter. Hey! This time it looked good.
The third floor's 'Eight Hundred Years of the State of Chu, King Zhuang of Chu' exhibition hall also particularly tantalizes the heart. During the visit, I gained a preliminary understanding of how a once marginalized tribe became one of the Seven Warring States and the rise and fall of the State of Chu. The Chu people endured humiliation and bore heavy burdens to integrate into the Central Plains, paying a huge price. The hundreds of years of wandering and struggle of the Chu people, especially after King Zhuang of Chu ascended the throne, through rest and recuperation, he started a hegemony and pushed the State of Chu to its peak. There are too many historical facts, too many stories, too much to say, so I'll leave it at that!

1. Yellow Crane Tower
The Yellow Crane Tower (Yellow Crane Tower) is a national 5A tourist attraction, known as 'the most spectacular view under heaven' and 'the foremost tower in the world's rivers and mountains'. It is one of Wuhan's city landmarks, famous for the poem by Tang Dynasty poet Cui Hao, 'In the past, others have ridden away on the yellow crane, leaving only the Yellow Crane Tower behind'. Poets like Li Bai also left poems about the tower. Climbing the Yellow Crane Tower, one can gaze upon the rolling Yangtze River and the scenery of Wuhan's three towns.
2. Hubei Provincial Museum
The Hubei Provincial Museum consists of three ancient-style buildings: the Comprehensive Exhibition Hall, the Chu Culture Hall, and the Chime Bells Hall, reflecting the ancient Chu state's architectural layout of 'one platform, one hall' and 'multiple platforms in groups'. It houses four treasures: the Zenghou Yi Chime Bells from the tomb of Marquis Yi of Zeng; the exquisite work of the cold weapon era, the Sword of Goujian; the one-million-year-old Yunxian Man skull fossils; and a rare piece of Yuan blue-and-white porcelain, the Four Loves Plum Vase. The museum's regular exhibitions also feature distinct ancient Chu culture and ancient Yangtze civilization characteristics.
3. Wuhan Happy Valley
Wuhan Happy Valley is a large cultural theme park in Central China, built with great effort by the Overseas Chinese Town Group and opened on April 29, 2012, to welcome visitors. The thrilling amusement rides, colorful performance projects, and exciting themed cultural festivals make Wuhan Happy Valley the 'fashionable, dynamic, and passionate' happy land of the bustling city.

Hubei Museum
Hubei Museum is located in Wuhan and is one of the top ten national museums. On a weekend in the sunny March, stepping into the museum allows you to touch the memories of history.
Coming to the Marquis Yi of Zeng exhibition hall. Marquis Yi of Zeng, with the family name Ji and the given name Yi, had an ancestor who was the famous founding general of the Zhou Dynasty, Nangong Shi (Kuo). The State of Zeng was one of the feudal states of the Zhou royal family, established along the Han River in Sui territory. Historical records also refer to it as the State of Sui (Expert interpretation: 'Zeng' was the title of the marquis, 'Sui' was the place name), and it existed for over seven hundred years from the Western Zhou Dynasty during the reigns of Kings Cheng and Kang until the end of the Warring States period. Experts have verified that Marquis Yi of Zeng was likely born around 475 BCE or slightly later, and became a feudal lord around 463 BCE, reigning for about thirty years.
The State of Zeng was a feudal state of the Zhou royal family and represented the orthodox lineage of the Zhou Dynasty. Naturally, it placed great emphasis on the 'Six Arts' of the aristocratic education of the Zhou era, particularly 'music', and also maintained the ritual and music system that was considered the foundation of governance during the Zhou Dynasty. The large ritual musical instruments such as the set of bells and stone chimes unearthed from the tomb of Marquis Yi of Zeng reflect the splendid ritual and musical civilization created by our Chinese ancestors. The set of bells of Marquis Yi of Zeng, unearthed in 1978, is the most complete, largest in scale, heaviest in weight, and has the most bells of any set found to date. The set of bells of Marquis Yi of Zeng is not just a set of musical instruments, but also a calling card of China, representing the ethereal sound that has traversed a thousand years. Along with the bells, a set of stone chimes made from stone slabs was also unearthed, consisting of thirty-two pieces of varying sizes and thicknesses.
Hubei Museum, a pleasant cultural relic experience journey.

🌏Exhibition hall overview:
·Zeng Hou Yi Exhibition Hall
Turn right at the entrance is the Zeng Hou Yi Exhibition Hall, where the heavy instrument Zeng Hou Yi chime is located. This exhibition hall is connected to the second floor and also displays many cultural relics and daily necessities of music enthusiast Zeng Hou Yi.
·King Goujian's Sword Exhibition Hall
Coming out of the Zeng Hou Yi Exhibition Hall on the second floor, next to it is the King Goujian's Sword Exhibition Hall. This is the only cultural relic in the museum that receives special treatment, with one exhibit supporting an entire exhibition hall.
·Zeng Family Exhibition Hall
Opposite the Zeng Hou Yi Exhibition Hall on the second floor is the Zeng Family Exhibition Hall. The Zeng State is a historical country that has never appeared in history books and was revealed by archaeology. Through archaeological results, it reveals the development process of the Zeng State from leading the trend in the Jianghan region to nurturing the Chu State and finally integrating into Chu culture.
·800 Years of Chu State Exhibition Hall
I really like the 800 Years of Chu State Exhibition Hall on the third floor, which shows the life of the Chu people, very grounded. The tiger seat bird rack drum and the painted figure car and horse travel map are all in this exhibition hall. The people of Chu State really led the trend for 800 years!
·Liangzhuang King's Treasure Exhibition Hall
On the east side of the third floor is the Liangzhuang King's Treasure Exhibition Hall. Every piece of jewelry decoration in this exhibition hall is exquisite, which really makes girls unable to move.
·Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition Hall
The fourth floor is the Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition Hall. Due to time constraints, I didn't get to visit, I'll make up for it next time. I recommend everyone to buy tickets for the chime performance. There are performances in the concert hall on the negative first floor every day.
🌈Personal feelings:
If I use the 'amount of photos taken' and 'number of steps walked' to express my liking, I spent more than 7 hours in the Hubei Provincial Museum, walked 8,000 steps, used up 2 camera batteries, which is enough to express my admiration and feelings for it!
I recommend everyone to visit the Hubei Provincial Museum when you have time to experience the richness and depth of Chinese historical culture!

Hubei Provincial Museum | The land of Jingchu, the elegance of Chu culture!
Hubei Provincial Museum is one of the eight national key museums jointly established by the central and local governments, known for its Shang and Zhou dynasty bronzes, Chu state lacquered woodware and bamboo slips from the Qin and Han dynasties, and gold and jade articles of the pre-Qin period and Ming dynasty feudal princes, enjoying a high reputation at home and abroad.
From the migration of the self-selling bear, the establishment of a nation by later generations, to the self-proclamation as kings, the eight hundred years of the Chu state controlled the most important resource of the time (copper), and enjoyed the highest level of ritual system, such as the nine tripods and eight gui, the six-frame... The scale of its bronze ware is magnificent, and the craftsmanship is exquisite, which is breathtaking.
In addition to this, its science, astronomy, and systems were all at the forefront of the Spring and Autumn and Warring States periods, and had strong local characteristics.
The love story of King Liang Zhuang and Princess Wei may be long past, but through these gold and jade articles, one can still catch a glimpse of it.
More content awaits our friends to explore, and here I am just throwing out a brick to attract jade.
