Many people have listed seeing a volcano as one of their life plans, and Yogyakarta, the kingdom of volcanoes, is the perfect place to do it. Mount Merapi is the most popular volcano in Indonesia and is very spectacular! The opposite Mount Merbabu is relatively safe. You can watch the stars, camp, wait for the sunrise, and even see the four most famous volcanoes in Central Java. It's definitely great value for money! I recommend the place I think is worth walking around near Yogyakarta city: Prambanan Temple is a large Hindu temple complex built in the 9th century.
