✈️Georgia feels like Eastern Europe, the prices are not high, the transportation is also very convenient, car rental, chartered car, etc. are very convenient, plus visa-free, it is very suitable for a walk.
-
🎒If time permits, you can play the three countries of the Outer Caucasus together, first fly to Azerbaijan (2-3 days), then take a train from Azerbaijan to Georgia (sleep one night, arrive in Tbilisi the next day), and then take a bus from Tbilisi to Armenia The capital Yerevan, Armenia is not big, 4 days is enough.

Citywalk in Old Tbilisi, Georgia.
Chronicle of Georgia Monument
Overlooking the "Tbilisi Sea", also known as the "Georgian Stonehenge", it is a great place for photos, consisting of 16 bronze pillars, each 35 meters high. From here, you can also enjoy the beautiful view of the "Tbilisi Sea".
Tbilisi Holy Trinity Cathedral
This is not a very old church, built between 1995 and 2004, but it is the Eastern Orthodox Church built in Georgia, and it is a famous religious building in the Caucasus.
Old Tbilisi
Located on the Silk Road between Europe and Asia, it blends various different cultures. The most unique is the Georgian church building. There are mosques, synagogues, Armenian Christian churches and Roman Catholic churches in the city, the ancient city of Tbilisi, the Metkhi Church built in the 12th century, the ancient city castle, shops selling carpets and souvenirs, and the "Peace Bridge" across the river in the city.
Narikala Fortress Take the old city cable car up the mountain, overlooking the entire city and enjoy the unique scenery of Tbilisi.
Mother of Georgia Built after World War II, this majestic statue faces the ancient city. She holds her wrist in her left hand and a sword in her right hand, symbolizing the great victory of Georgia's anti-fascist war and becoming a symbol of the city.
Check in at the popular attraction Puppet Clock Tower The clock tower next to the puppet theater, every hour the small door on the top of the building will open and a puppet angel will slowly walk out from behind the door, ring the bell and then turn back inside.

Visa-free countries for spontaneous trips︱Find the lamp left by God in Tbilisi
⭐A church made of pure gold
⭐A hidden gem with beautiful scenery and few people, free of charge
.
👀Recommended reasons>
In Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, whether it is day or night, you can see this golden-domed church shining brightly from any angle in the city, like a lamp emitting a peaceful glow... This is the Holy Trinity Cathedral of Tbilisi, the largest church ever built in Georgia since its independence from the Soviet Union. Its 7.5-meter-high glittering dome is made of pure gold donated spontaneously by the citizens. It can be said that this church is the soul of Georgia.
.
👣Travel guide>
Although it seems close, it is far away. The city of Tbilisi is built along the mountains on both sides of the Kura River. Navigating and walking all the way, you need to walk a long slope, making you breathless.
.
Travel should be a process of encountering surprises. So, we slow down, enjoy the exotic houses along the way, casually pick raspberries from the roadside, eating them as we go. The ripe fruits are red and purple, bursting with juice in the mouth, sweet and refreshing... This is how we happily walk up the slope.
.
Under the sunlight, the dazzling golden dome emerges, magnificent and shocking. The church is surrounded by walls. Walking through the gate, a flat avenue leads straight to the high steps under the church. Looking up at the church, it seems to float in the blue sky, reflecting the sunlight from heaven. There are not many people here, making it even more spacious. Walking up the high steps, coming closer, you need to look up even more. Striding across the open space in front of the church, bathing in the light from God...
.
🚌Transportation guide>
In Tbilisi, get off at Avlabari metro station, navigate and walk along the slope for about 20 minutes

Tbilisi citywalk|A landmark church not to be missed
Tbilisi is the capital of Georgia, and it is generally chosen here to fly from the country to Georgia.
Now Georgia is finally visa-free, and you can go with your passport.
When you come to Tbilisi citywalk, you can't miss the landmark building, the Holy Trinity Church. The Holy Trinity Church covers a large area, including the square, the main building, and the bell tower, etc. The church is open for free visits, you can enter from 10:00 to 22:00. This is an Orthodox church, but when entering the main church, women need to wrap their heads and not expose their skin, and men are required to have trousers over their knees.
The biggest feeling after playing a round in Georgia is that there are no tickets for the attractions here, except for the "snow tickets" for the Gudauri skiing cable car, and there are no such fees, no wonder Georgia is really a high cost-effective tourist destination.
🌟In addition, recommended cities in Georgia that must be visited for the first time:
1、Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, known as "God's Back Garden"! Recommended attractions include the Peace Bridge, the Holy Trinity Church, the Dry Bridge Market, the Mother Fortress, the Metekhi Church, etc. (It is recommended to reserve 3-4 days for play)
2、Kazbek, a small village under the Caucasus Mountains and Mount Kazbek, here is the "closest to heaven" Holy Trinity Church, independent of the world, the village is quiet and beautiful, there are friendly Caucasian dogs everywhere. (It is recommended to reserve 2-3 days for play)
3、Gudauri, this is a world-class skiing resort, with naturally thrilling ski trails and waist-deep powder snow, the quality of the snow is so good that falling is like falling in soft cotton. (It is recommended to reserve 2-3 days for play)
4、Sighnaghi, this is the birthplace of the world's red wine, super beautiful red wine has a transaction for less than a hundred yuan, the town is quiet and pleasant, very suitable for a slightly drunk vacation. (It is recommended to reserve 2-3 days for play)

Tbilisi Holy Trinity Cathedral
The Tbilisi Holy Trinity Cathedral can be said to be one of the landmarks of this city. It is the largest Orthodox church in Georgia and even the entire Caucasus region. Even on a global scale, its size ranks among the top.
The Holy Trinity Cathedral is built on Elia Hill, which is located in the old Avlabari district, above the left bank of the Kura River. The church belongs to the same sect as Russia, both are Orthodox. However, the onion top of the Tbilisi Holy Trinity Cathedral has been improved. From the outside, countless layers of buildings are stacked up, like a three-dimensional folding painting. Tourists come here more to appreciate religious art and architectural art.

Holy Trinity Cathedral of Tbilisi
Welcome to the main church not only of Tbilisi, but of the whole of Georgia! This church is better known in Georgian as Sameba and was built in 2004 and it is the third-tallest Eastern Orthodox cathedral in the world and one of the largest religious buildings in the world by total area.
The building looks simply colossal and can be seen from almost any hill in Tbilisi.
Visiting tips: Church attendance is free, but you must dress appropriately. Also next to the church there is a small restaurant of the Lagidze chain with very tasty beverages. I advise you to try it!

True Georgian authentic culture
There is an amazing beautiful park around the biggest church in city Tbilisi, Georgia. The magnificent stairs leading to church make it feel like pilgrimage. There is a beautiful pond with birds which is quite unusual. The church itself is smaller than I thought, but the ceilings are extremely high which gives it a feeling of reaching the sky. Gorgeous place!

So this isn't really Mestia. These photos were taken during my backpacking trip in Svaneti but only Mestia shows up as a location. This landscape comes with a blazing sun cooled by glacial breeze and friendly locals who make everything from their own yoghurt to their own bread. The last photo was taken as I climbed the steps of the Holy Trinity Cathedral of Tbilisi.
kim_travels
The Sameba Cathedral is on the top of a hill in #tbilisi - the capital of the country #georgia . It is an attraction that needs more time - at least few hours. It is different than other sights of Tbilisi and probably it is the main attraction of the whole area. The church is orthodox.

Sameba Catherdral aka Holy Trinity Cathedral is truly magnificent. You must visit this Cathedral when you are in Tbilisi to appreciate the beauty. We went in day time and then got back in night time. Both day and night time has its own charm.
There are a couple of restaurants close by and the view during daytime is nice as well. Highly recommend it.

📍Holy Trinity Cathedral of Tbilisi
A landmark of Tbilisi, this is a Georgian-style Orthodox church.
Visit at sunset for a grand and sacred feeling.
📍Narikala Castle
It was under renovation when I visited, so it was closed, but you can take a cable car up the mountain.
The cable car station is right next to the viewing platform, and the view is stunning!
It's also the best place in Tbilisi to watch the sunset 🌅
Head west to see the Mother of Georgia.
The giant female sculpture is especially spectacular in the sunset glow.
📍Bridge of Peace
A landmark of Tbilisi, the night view is beautiful.
Cross the Bridge of Peace to reach Rike Park, which has hot air balloons.
The cable car station 🚡 Rike-Narikala Cable Car is near the hot air balloons.
📍Clock Tower
The Clock Tower is a popular attraction in the old town.
It's a tiny clock tower that feels like a fairy tale world.
Next to it is the Gabriadze Theater, the oldest theater in Eastern Europe.
📍Freedom Square
A transportation hub in the city, there are many 🏧 ATMs here 🆓
📍Mtatsminda Park
If you have time, you can visit this mountaintop amusement park and take the tram up the mountain.
The view from the top is beautiful, and the amusement park is very retro, perfect for photos~📸
🍴Food
📍Restaurant Hide
A hidden gem located in Meidan Bazar.
The square is lively, and the underground building feels like a secret room.
You can try Georgian specialties here~
📍KaPaoBox
Thai food near Meidan, the place is small but the food is good!
📍Luca Polare
I recommend this ice cream shop, which seems to be a chain in the Caucasus region.
The ice cream and coffee are both good! ☕️

Tbilisi | Holy Trinity Cathedral
In the morning light of Tbilisi, the golden dome of the Holy Trinity Cathedral shines brightly, like a lighthouse towering over the city.
Construction of the cathedral began in 1995, and after nearly a decade of meticulous work, it was completed in 2004, symbolizing the revival of the Orthodox Christian faith after Georgia's independence. Walking in the spacious cathedral square, looking up at this magnificent building, one can feel the profound history and cultural heritage of Georgian Orthodoxy.
The cathedral combines traditional Georgian architectural styles with modern elements, with a total height of 87.1 meters, making it the tallest religious building in Georgia. The cathedral's stained glass windows cast a kaleidoscope of light and shadow in the sunlight, and the wall paintings are lifelike, leaving visitors in awe. It is not only a haven for the faithful but also a must-visit for travelers to experience the charm of Tbilisi.

From mid-September, Georgia welcomes the grape harvest season, which used to be a good time for wine tasting;
From mid-October until April of the following year, Georgia's long winter and spectacular snow mountains will become a paradise for ski enthusiasts.
Georgia, a small country that shares its name with the U.S. state of Georgia, you may not be familiar with it, and even Georgians can't clearly say whether their country belongs to Europe or Asia.
This is a country at a crossroads, with Turkish-style domed baths, Soviet-style pubs, Bangkok-flavored food markets, and Parisian-style boulevards...
It exudes a lazy and elegant European atmosphere, and also has a vast mountain view like North Xinjiang, perfectly blending Eastern and Western cultural elements, all of which are stunning.
The history of Georgia can be traced back to the Soviet era. It was a member of the Soviet Union and also the hometown of Stalin.
Here is full of the Soviet 'steam punk' industrial memories, Russian is basically unimpeded here, and many monasteries have formed a unique 'Georgian' style.
Georgia is located on the Black Sea coast of the Caucasus, bordering Russia to the north, spanning Europe and Asia, it is a stop on the Silk Road, with many mountains, glacial lakes, villages, towns and European castles and palaces, it is a paradise for hiking and cycling enthusiasts.
In Georgia, you will never feel bored. Here are Pushkin-style sulfur hot springs, strong Soviet-style 'air-raid shelter' subways, the world's third tallest Orthodox church, Tertiary rare Black Sea plant communities...
The key is that the consumption level is very friendly, European scenery Asian prices, the cost performance is too high!

Georgia travel recommendation, Tbilisi.
During the day, climb up to the Nariqala Fortress and overlook Tbilisi. You will feel that Tbilisi at this moment is like a polite gentleman, comfortable, clean and decent.
Looking from the mountaintop, I can see the Holy Trinity Cathedral and the Peace Bridge again. Tbilisi is not big, and many attractions are concentrated.

Ticket: Free
Recommended play time: 2 hours
tips: The cost of cable car to go up the mountain is 3 Lari

Visit the largest church in Georgia ⛪️
Georgia, which adheres to Eastern Orthodoxy, is full of European style and has many churches. The Holy Trinity is the largest church in Georgia, and the entire dome is made of gold, similar to the large Buddha statues and pagodas in many temples in our country.
The church complex includes a square, main building, bell tower, etc. The church can be entered for free and photos can be taken casually.

🇬🇪Georgia: Tbilisi Holy Trinity Cathedral
The Holy Trinity Cathedral of Tbilisi is located on the Ilya Mountain on the left bank of the Kura River, and this huge cathedral can be seen from almost every corner of the city.
.
This church is the seat of the Georgian Orthodox Patriarch, as one of the landmarks of Tbilisi, it is the largest Orthodox church built after the disintegration of the Soviet Union, and also the largest church in Georgia's history.
The church is 87.1 meters tall, it is the third tallest Eastern Orthodox church in the world, and also one of the largest religious buildings in the world in terms of total area.
.
Actually, this church is not ancient. It was built between 1995 and 2004, with thirteen altars, as well as an independent bell tower, bishop's residence, monastery, and theological college.
The entire church is designed with a grand atmosphere, using a gilded dome structure, and a gilded cross standing on top of the dome at a height of 7.5 meters.
.
The main source of funding for the construction of the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity was donations from residents of Georgia, including local wealthy merchants and ordinary people.
.
Compared to its magnificent exterior, the interior of the church appears relatively simple, yet still maintains an elegant and grand atmosphere.
The Church of the Holy Trinity is located on the hill of Ilya on the left bank of the Mtkvari River in Tbilisi. It was built between 1995 and 2004. The Church of the Holy Trinity is called the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. It is the most cathedral built after the disintegration of the Soviet Union in Georgia. It is now the Georgian Orthodox Church. The cathedral complex consists of a courtyard wall, a bell tower, and several chapels. The main building is nearly 100 meters high and is the tallest church in Georgia, almost seen from all angles in Tbilisi.
Meet a handsome Georgian guy in the church. The guy is twenty years old. He said that he will come to the church to do volunteer work every day after work. The guy showed me the attire in his bag, saying that different colors represent different The level, the guy is now red, saying that this guy feels very proud, I don't quite understand the status of the red priest in the church, but from the performance of the guy should be a very worthy of respect.
The boy's English is good. I will explain the story about the church and the Bible for me. I like his seriousness and faith. The guy asked me what I believe, I said nothing, the boy said that China does not have a Buddha, obviously nothing makes the boy feel incredible, I don't know how to explain this nothing, I would like to say that all churches in Georgia can enter for free, but In China, temples need to buy expensive tickets before they can enter, but they are worried that he will once again reveal an incredible expression, so hehe passed.
Hero_V5.
When I first went to Tbilisi, I told my friends that we would buy cherries to eat, so I went for a fruit shop, and when I bought the cherry and sat on the side of the road, my friend opened the map and looked at it. There is a Holy Trinity Church near here. The top of the church is made of pure gold. Do you want to go?
I stuffed the cherry into my mouth and said it ambiguously.
So two people went to the church, it was dusk, it was a good time to take pictures, so I jumped over and over again.
Jumping tired, two people sat on the steps to eat cherries.
The church is illuminated by the dusk of the evening. This church, also known as the Sameba Church, is the largest church built after Georgia's independence from the Soviet Union. It is the tallest church in Georgia and can be found in all parts of the city. I saw this church.
After eating the cherries, slowly walk back to the hotel, and on the way back, I bought roast chicken and ice beer. I went back to the hotel every day and drank a can of iced beer that could get rid of the summer heat. Happiness is over.
