【Must-see attractions】
Attraction name + introduction: Ba Na Hills
A famous attraction in Da Nang is the longest cable car in the world. As the cable car goes up, you can enjoy the scenery of Da Nang, the Golden Buddha's Hand Bridge and the French Village.
After boarding the cable car, you will go directly to the French Village at the top, one of the most popular destinations in Ba Na Hills, with landmarks such as squares, churches, old villages and hotels, as well as restaurants and amusement parks.
Then we came to the most popular Golden Buddha's Hand Bridge. There were so many people that it was difficult to take photos of the aerial view. We all took photos with passers-by. After walking across the bridge, there was a small area next to it that was less crowded. From there, we could get close to the Buddha's Hand Bridge. Take a photo.
Price: Tickets + cable car are about $1,000. It is recommended that you buy tickets online to avoid the crowds of people queuing up to buy tickets on site.
【Must-eat food】
1. Restaurant + must-try dishes: Thìa Gỗ
I ordered beef rice noodles, fried spring rolls and pancakes. The rice noodles soup is sweet and not salty. The fried spring rolls are crispy and not greasy. The pancakes are super big. They are wrapped with rice paper, lettuce and sauce. They taste delicious. The crispy flavor of the pie crust also has the sweetness of the lettuce, and the filling inside the pie tastes very rich.
2. Restaurant + must-try dishes: Ăn Thôi Restaurant
Located next to the Han Market, there were still a lot of people at 3pm. The decoration was very cute. I ordered pineapple fried rice, beef pho, stir-fried water spinach, pancakes and fried spring rolls. The pineapple fried rice actually came with scary three-color vegetables! ! ! But fortunately, after picking them out, they are delicious. The fried water spinach feels a bit unpleasant and too salty, but the other flavors are pretty good.
3. Restaurant + must-try dish: Bánh Mì Phượng French bread
Located near the ancient town of Hoi An, there are many people queuing up. The French bread is very crispy, and with the meat and eggs inside, it tastes very good.
【Accommodation recommendation】
Hotel name: voco Ma Belle Danang, an IHG Hotel
Hotel address: 168 Võ Nguyên Giáp, Street, Sơn Trà, Đà Nẵng
It is located near My Khe Beach. I booked a triple room for three people. I found it difficult to sleep on the bunk beds because the bed was very small and the quilt was very small. Later, I asked the housekeeping staff to give me a large quilt, but the big bed Just slept well. There is an infinity swimming pool, so you can enjoy the sea view while soaking in the water.
Price: Three people stay for two nights (Saturday and Sunday), about $11,000.

🇻🇳 Sunset on Hoi An River
#bestsunset #100WaysOfTravel
It is an awesome boat ride from the Lantern Park at Hoi An Old Market towards Hoi A Memories Land. The meeting time was 5.30pm and the sunset timing in September is abut 5.40pm which is much earlier than our Singapore timing. As the sun set earlier in Hoi An, the lights also switch on early and the entire park is illuminated. But as you sail on the boat, you still can see the sun is setting and it sets quite fast too. There are also man floating lanterns and the sunset also cast its reflections onto the river, creating a lovely vibe to sail down the river in Hoi An.

[4-Day Da Nang, Vietnam Tour] Slow down and enjoy the scenery.
"The greatest benefit of travel is not seeing many people or beautiful scenery, but walking and suddenly getting to know yourself again in an encounter."
Vietnam seems to be the last stop for most people with limited travel expenses in Southeast Asia. In my past narrow cognition, poverty, chaos, and barbarism seem to be its labels, but when I really came to Da Nang, Vietnam, I seemed to find something more important than the label, that is, inner peace.
The first day's itinerary was arranged in the Camellia Peninsula, Pink Church, Hoi An Ancient City and My Khe Beach.
1 Camellia Peninsula
The Camellia Peninsula is famous for its giant Guanyin, primitive trees and Confucian culture. Guanyin stands tall, facing the sea, overlooking the world, and everything grows wildly under it.
Guanyin and temples are more endowed with the meaning of "guard" in the traditional sense of "town". It seems to be guarding a territory while "wind and rain are smooth", and also carefully guarding the existence of every small object in the all-inclusive.
For me who is walking at this moment, it seems to be moisturizing my dry soul invisibly.
2 Pink Church
The church was painted a lovely pink. Although it has been polished by the years and lost its past glory, when you walk in, you can still feel the French romance of the colonial period. The towering church and rows of stone benches seem to be able to imagine the scene of happy people completing the ceremony here. Thinking about it, the hot afternoon time seems to become extremely lazy and comfortable.
3 Hoi An Ancient City
This is where Zheng He stopped seven times in the Western Ocean. Although the port has been discontinued, the remaining ancient city seems to be still telling us the past history in its own way.
The dark-skinned, short Vietnamese vendors wear bamboo hats and sell goods and services to tourists in Vietnamese that they don't understand, or special fruits, food or handicrafts; Da Nang girls wearing local Ao Dai costumes wander the streets; Da Nang old women wearing bamboo hats sit on the roadside to sell local cakes; all people meet in this ancient city for a thousand years, feeling the warmth of the years.
4 My Khe Beach
My Khe Beach is one of the six most beautiful beaches in the world. The 600-meter coastline is long enough for people to enjoy the sea breeze while running wildly on the beach.
I almost go to the beach every year when I travel. Sometimes I am happy and sometimes I am upset, but the sea seems to have some kind of magic power. It can equally accommodate all restless souls, let the sea breeze blow away all thoughts, and only leave a relaxed soul.
Banana Mountain
On the second day, with romantic imagination, we took the cable car up to Banana Mountain. The original forest under our feet was lush and fascinating, and we secretly hoped to see the figure of a giant animal.
After experiencing the temperature of ice and fire, at the junction of sunlight and thick fog, I seemed to see a miracle. The body quickly responded, the pores contracted, and the tinnitus became more and more intense. I expected more surprises.
When I got off the cable car, the thick fog and low temperature of 10 degrees on the top of the mountain quickly wrapped us. With excitement, we walked on the Internet celebrity check-in place-the Buddha's Hand Golden Bridge. The bridge body is graceful like a dragon, leading people forward slowly. In the thick fog that can't be opened, the Buddha's hand is looming. Only the giant hand firmly supports the bridge body. People stay on the bridge and take countless group photos. Try to leave a miracle.
The castle group is the residence of French colonists in history. It was once related to tragic war history such as war, disaster, and refugees, which is awe-inspiring. However, now, the wise and brave people of Da Nang have unloaded its heavy historical burden and turned it into an indispensable part. They have completely preserved the castle and continue to enrich it, hoping to get more wealth.
Shuttle through the winery, glimpse the ancient winemaking civilization of the French manor in every old wine barrel; under the guidance of the bell, we walked up a mountain road, saw an elegant tea room in the desolation, and people walked in leisurely. Going up, there are ancient Chinese pagodas and temples. There are no monks here, no business opportunities, only devout believers.
I stood in the temple and looked at the French castle. There was no inner turmoil and too many thoughts, only a calm and calm heart.
The people of Da Nang seem to live indecently, and even a bit of poor sourness, but they seem to enjoy life more than we do. Perhaps this is related to factors such as history, politics, economy, and living environment. I think it depends more on their inherent beliefs.
Once a person has faith, he has the courage to face the ups and downs of life and the confidence to slow down and live with his heart. In comparison, we are all in a hurry now, afraid that we can't keep up with our peers, and we can be fast. But life that is exhausted will not make us happy.

🇻🇳 Hoi An Ancient Town Old Market
#ancienttown #100WaysOfTravel
A busy market selling livestocks, seafood, handicraft to cooked food is located very near to the Lantern Park. It is in the heart of Hoi An Ancient Town and it is a busy market filled with many street food and restaurants. You can get all kinds of fresh produce here and even sample local food fresh from the wok. There will be many hawkers roaming around and try to pass you their baskets for a photo sessions. If you accept it then please do patronize their goods or give them a small tip. Do be careful of anyone trying to sell you things because they might try to sell you at an inflated price. Always remember to bargain.

We started our second day by visiting My Khe beach. The soft white sands and the sound of waves provide the perfect setting for relaxation at a nearby restaurant located by the beach - Esco Beach Da Nang.
Later in the day, we took a short trip to a cafe facing paddy fields - Chic Chillax.
The cafe is painted with vibrant colors offering an unobstructed view of the paddy fields.

The Perfect Blend: Hội An’s Timeless Charm and a Cup of Coconut Coffee
#cafestory #100WaysofTravel #vietnam #coconutcoffee
Our day trip to the ancient town of Hội An was steeped in history, culture, and, of course, the local café scene. Among the countless charming spots to unwind, we were drawn to Memories Brunch and Cafe, a delightful three-story gem that blends modern comforts with the old-world charm of Hội An.
The café itself was an oasis from the relentless heat outside. We were instantly drawn to the air-conditioned interior, where the atmosphere was cool and inviting, a perfect retreat from the blazing sun. The moment we sat down, we knew we had made the right choice. We ordered a coconut milk coffee—a local specialty—and it exceeded all expectations. The creamy texture, combined with the subtle sweetness of coconut, made each sip feel like a small, luxurious escape from the summer heat.
But what truly made the experience memorable was the warm hospitality. The staff, attentive and friendly, brought us chilled water to refresh us further. To our pleasant surprise, the café’s owner personally came over to greet us. She had a radiant smile and a genuine warmth that made us feel like old friends. She shared a little insider tip: the best time to explore the ancient town was early in the morning, when the streets are empty, and the town feels like a serene, untouched relic of the past.
Intrigued by her advice, we made a mental note for the next day, but first, we ventured up to the café’s balcony. As we stepped outside, the view took our breath away. Below us, Hội An sprawled out like a living postcard—ancient rooftops, winding streets, and the gentle curve of the Thu Bồn River all bathed in the golden glow of the setting sun. It was a photographer’s dream, every angle offering a new perspective on the town’s timeless beauty.
As we sipped the last of our coffee and soaked in the view, we realized that this moment, perched above the ancient town with a perfect cup of coffee in hand, was the essence of what makes travel so special. It’s the small, unexpected moments of connection—with a place, its people, and even yourself—that linger in your memory long after the journey ends.

Amazingly beautiful of Old Town, Hoi An, Vietnam 🇻🇳
#100WaysOfTravel
As a worshipper of Old Town vibes, I made myself step in the old town in Vietnam called Hoi An. The old town style here still in pure and original touch as the lantern is the most iconic attraction to tourist and spread everywhere in the city.
The old town style holds perfectly as an identity of Hoi An which renowned as one of the best old town in Vietnam. This makes Hoi An interesting to visit and no wonder if there are a lot of tourist coming to witness its original old vibes touch.
As my recommendation, I suggest you to rent a bike (for some cases, some hotels will allow you to use their bike for free) and explore the city during sunset time and so on as this time will be the best temperature and there will be a lot of attraction start opening such as canal ride and authentic local stores.
On how to get there, you could take bus from wherever you are and make sure there is available bus route direct to Hoi An or Da Nang city, or you can also take plane to Da Nang city. After you arrived in Da Nang, you could rent a motorbike or car and drive for around 30 minutes to get there.
Staying a night is optional but it will be more enjoyable if you stay a night in Hoi An. It is worth visiting town, i assure you.
As of now, Hoi An is my top notch worth visiting destination in Vietnam. It serves peaceful, quiet, warm and politeness by the local! It's absolutely fun in Hoi An.

📍Tomdo
Business hours: Daily from 10 AM to 9 PM
Located in Hoi An Old Town, tomdo is a spontaneous visit without any prior research, thanks to its impressive Google Maps rating of 4.9! I was able to taste really cost-effective lobster dishes. The lobster was plump, and the morning glory and the bread set were all delicious, each sauce was tasty, and it was a pleasure to enjoy the lobster in the cool air conditioning. I recommend it as an Old Town delicacy.

Hoi An Ancient Town: Historical architecture blends with modernity
Hoi An, located in the center of Vietnam, is definitely not to be missed when traveling to Da Nang. It is only half an hour away by car anyway. Hoi An Ancient Town was listed as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage in 1999. It was a trading port from the 15th to the 19th century. Stepping into Hoi An Ancient Town is like traveling through a scene -
Buildings with a rich history have been transformed into hotels, restaurants, cafes, commodity stores... a perfect blend of old and new.
Strolling through the ancient town of Hoi An, day and night each have their own beauty... It's also good to sit by the river and have a drink and watch the locals live their leisurely life.

🇻🇳 Charming Hoi An Ancient Town
A visit to Da Nang is not complete without visiting Hoi An which is located 30 km from Da Nang International Airport. Inscribed in 1999 as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Hoi An Ancient Town is an exceptionally well-preserved example of a South-East Asian trading port dating from the 15th to the 19th century. We spent half a day exploring the ancient town which is famous for its traditional architecture, lantern-lit streets and vibrant atmosphere and iconic Japanese Covered Bridge. There were plenty of opportunities for us to capture stunning photos as we explored the old town. We also enjoyed checking out clothes stores which sell Vietnamese traditional costumes with beautiful prints.

Hoi An Ancient Town is full of online beauty check-in attractions
Sino-Vietnamese tourism is mainly concentrated in Da Nang. After all, it is more lively and has more scenic spots.
But no matter what, you must set aside at least one day to come to Hoi An, especially Hoi An Ancient Town, because it is so beautiful here. You can feel the characteristics of the local ancient town and it is a scenery that cannot be seen in Taiwan.
The day and night views are different. Coupled with the river in Hoi An Ancient Town, the goose-yellow walls and the full decoration of lanterns, it feels like going back to ancient times.
Definitely the most unforgettable attraction in China-Vietnam tourism! (Friends who have been there all like Hoi An the most)
Hoi An Ancient Town is located on the lower reaches of Thu Bon River, about 30 kilometers away from Da Nang, and the drive takes about 40-50 minutes.
Because of its geographical location and weather factors, it was a busy international trade port in the 17th and 18th centuries.
However, Da Nang later replaced Hoi An.
However, because Hoi An was not damaged by the war and was well preserved, it gradually became popular among tourists and scholars.
It was registered as a World Cultural Heritage in 1999

🇻🇳Harmonious Hoi An🇻🇳
This ancient city of Hoi An is just so splendid in all aspects. As we walked around, we noticed how beautifully built the structures are and the vibrant color of yellow. We also noticed lots of art around on walls as well as their signature lanterns hanging in a lot of places. It really makes you feel like you are whipped back in time when you walk around Hoi An—it truly gives you a unique experience—an unforgettable one I might add. I really enjoyed witnessing all sorts of cultural
aspects in this town, even their Starbucks was adorable!

💛The lovely ancient town of Hoi An🥰
🇻🇳The Harmonious Hoi An🇻🇳
The town of Hoi An is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and it has a lot of well-preserved buildings that display a mix of local and foreign influences that date way back to the 15th century. So many beautiful structures around and if you will notice they use the color yellow in a lot of their structures, this town is recognizable by these yellow buildings and it is why it is dubbed The Yellow City of Lanterns🏮
We strolled into the inner streets of Hoi An’s bustling old ancient town and we are met with lots of shops, cafes, restaurants and the Thu Bon River💙
It was quite nice to walk around and just see the buildings and people both local and tourists. A place worth your time when in Hoi An

Strolling Along The River
#wheretogo
A popular tourists attraction in Hoi An ancient town is the thu bon river that goes around the area giving an extra touch while exploring the area.
There is a very famous Japanese bridge that’s more than 400 years old now which was under construction when we are there.
However there is still the main bridge that allows pedestrians to cross over the different sides of the town.
But the main highlight is the river boat ride with lanterns! Usually tourists will ride it after darkness but we saw some of them riding in the evening. We chose darkness because we only had one night and wanted to explore the town first.

Spinning Basket Boats - Vietnam
Solo Travelling around Vietnam.
Attended the Eco Cooking Class in Hoi An and included, was a ride to the cooking class venue via a basket boat. A fun and unique experience! Our boat driver was hilarious and spun us around in the basket boat. Included is some crab fishing, fisherman net throwing and boat paddling. Met some fellow solo travellers.
Highly recommended ❤️

Enjoy Hoi An in one day🏊🏻
For those who are wondering what to do in Hoi An, I will write an article for those who want to enjoy Hoi An until dinnertime! First, you have to eat when you arrive in Hoi An! There are two restaurants I would like to recommend. They are Banh Mi and Cam Ranh, a Vietnamese restaurant. Neither of them have air conditioning, but they do have fans, so you won’t feel the heat. After that, you can explore the nearby Old Town. There are places to eat or shop in the Old Town, and you can enjoy the atmosphere of the Old Town itself. If you are tired after that, you can go to the famous Vietnamese cafe, Cong Cafe, or a cafe in the Old Town. Since Vietnam is famous for its coffee, I think any cafe you go to will be at least as good as the basics. If you have time after that, Hoi An has a lot to do, such as riding a coconut boat or playing in the water at An Bang Beach!!

📍Vietnam Motorcycle Long March Tour / Hoi An Ancient Town
◼️Vietnam trip- # Hoi An Ancient Town
Compared with #DaNang and #Hue, Hoi An Ancient Town
A little more natural and comfortable
These three cities in China and Vietnam are the routes chosen by most tourists
But perhaps the classical architecture and atmosphere of Hoi An Ancient Town are more attractive to European and American tourists
The entire ancient town of Hoi An is almost filled with foreigners
But it feels really comfortable here
Many people choose to travel slowly by bicycle
Outside the ancient city is the simple rural countryside
Beyond is the coastal beach 🏖️
The geographical location of Hoi An Ancient Town is in central and southern Vietnam.
Warm all year round
The average annual temperature is 25℃
The dry season is from January to July every year
The cooler temperatures from January to April are the most suitable months to travel to Hoi An.
From August to December, there is more rainfall and abundant rainfall.
If you want to go this month, remember to bring rain gear.
Ticket booths can be seen at important intersections in Hoi An Ancient Town
For example, there are ticket booths at Japanese Bridge (Laiyuan Bridge), Thu Bon River, and Hoi An Night Market.
One ticket for Hoi An Ancient Town is VND120K
Can be used for multiple days
We stayed in a quiet villa in the city for the first two nights
Occasionally visit the ancient city
Sit on the street corner and order a cup of Vietnamese coffee
Savor the rich Vietnamese style
Vietnamese traditional clothing is very beautiful
Although the whole body is covered, it can reflect the woman's figure
Exudes a subtle femininity.
I originally thought that if I could sell the motorcycle at a good price in China and Vietnam,
End your trip to Vietnam early
Saw motorcycle buying and selling information on the roadside
He stopped and asked
I asked a girl and she was very enthusiastic about showing us around
I originally thought that I could just ask the family if they had any problems, and I could just continue going south.
As a result, she took us around to inquire
It's really kind and touching.
Later I found out that she was just a customer drinking coffee in that store
This moved me very much
In the past, we would all answer directly: I am not the boss
But the girl helped us translate and ran around
In the end, the motorcycle was not sold, but she apologized to us instead
We are truly flattered and thank you for the warmth and kindness shown by Vietnam.

Hoi An - A Colourful Wonderland of Lanterns
Hoi An was one of our favourite places whilst visiting Vietnam and we highly recommend you visit if you ever get the chance!
Enjoy your time exploring the beautiful, authentic streets that are filled with colourful lanterns that light the paths at night. Sample coffees, visit tailoring shops and get souvenirs from the shops that line the bubbling streets.
Whilst you’re here, book a tour to do the basket boats! It’s a must do, for a decent price, that includes performances and even crab fishing.
Finally, make your own custom lantern at one of the many lantern making classes and take a piece of Hoi An home with you!

Hoi An: Peaceful in the Day, Vibrant at Night
Hoi An is a charming ancient town, located about 45 minute drive from Da Nang. This UNESCO site has influences from Chinese and Japanese in its architecture. Try to synchronise your visit with full moon on the lunar month and you get to experience Hoi An's lantern festival. Cao lầu and White rose are among the Hoi An dishes that you should try. Come back in the evening, and you see the town lit up with lanterns and bustling with life, especially at its night markets.

Hoi An - Old Town
Hội An is a city on Vietnam’s central coast known for its well-preserved Ancient Town, cut through with canals.
Hoi An is a charming and beautiful place even if you go there during the day. However, it is a bit hot in May. There are cafes everywhere, so take a break. Coffee and drinks are good too. The view out the window is a bonus.
The former port city’s melting-pot history is reflected in its architecture, a mix of eras and styles from wooden Chinese shophouses and temples to colorful French colonial buildings, ornate Vietnamese tube houses and the iconic Japanese Covered Bridge with its pagoda.

Rainy Day in Hoi An Ancient Town, Vietnam
Hoi An Ancient Town has its own unique vibes that makes you just wanna come back again and again. The yellow brick wall houses, the lanterns, the art spaces, Aodai and veston shops, delicious food and drinks… All makes this place memorable.
Hoi An is near Danang and Hue, 2 major cities in Middle of Vietnam. You can plan an itinerary that covers all these 3 places, and it can take a whole week just to exploring them. Anyway, good food is around every corner in these 3 cities. Enjoy!

Lunar New Year in Hoi An Old Town 🏮🍊🐰
#yearofrabbit
What a spectacular way to usher in the year of the rabbit! Any trip to Da Nang is incomplete without a visit to Hoi An. Hoi An is a small city south of Da Nang, about a 45 min drive. It is extremely famous for its rich Chinese-influenced food and culture, and it's most evident in the ancient town.
Hoi An Old Town is a preserved trading port dating from as far back as the 15th century, and many buildings and bridges still stand today. The Chinese influence is strong, so visiting this place at the peak of the Lunar New Year is fantastic. At night, the beautiful, colorful lanterns light up the walking streets, while cafes and handcraft stores line the cobbled streets. It almost feels as if you're transported back in time, but the atmosphere is so pleasant that one cannot help but feel inspired by the beauty and history of the place!
Tips for visiting Hoi An Old Town
1. Prepare walking shoes, some streets do not allow vehicles.
2. Visit in the late afternoon to watch the lanterns come to life during sunset!
3. Try the local food, especially the bbq.
Address - Hoi An Town, Quang Nam Province, Vietnam

Lanterns and architecture
Hoi An Old Town lights up at night with vibrant and colourful lanterns. You can explore the alleyways and streets and see them all around you. This is a permanent thing not just for Lunar New Year. With the river being so close by, you'll often see boats sending lanterns out on the tide, or people writing wishes and sending them afloat.
I love the architecture here, with buildings full of character, lots of Asian characteristics, and a good sense of tradition. Tons of F&B available and no international chains at all which is great. There's also a plethora of souvenir stores and pretty much anything else you need. A very walkable town.

New Year in Hoi An
✨This was by far the most unforgettable trip I’ve ever had in Vietnam. I went to different cities and different travel destinations in the country but this is where I have immersed myself into the Vietnamese culture from food to the way of life and even the interaction with locals.
🐾The town center seems really commercialized as it is beaming with shops and cafes but the buildings were preserved, still giving the ‘old town’ aura.
📌Things to try out:
- walking tours
- day cruise + basket boat
- evening boat ride + lantern
- tailored suits and dresses
- shop and dine
- walk around the old town street
- watch cultural shows
- visit the night market

Tried out a walking food tour when in Hoi An and it's definitely a touristy thing to do, but we got to try out and enjoy some food that we might never get to try or attempted to try if we were on our own. The food that stood out would be balut - fertilised duck embryo. It is a food that I guessed I won't pluck up the courage to try if not for the presence and persuasion of the guide. I tried a bit of the balut. Well, it's not as bad as I thought, but I'm definitely not finishing it in my first attempt.
The experience of the food tour was really nice. Besides bringing us to try out the local stalls, be it a shop or by the roadside, the guide made an effort to introduce the history and culture of the city to us. It's definitely an eye-opener for us.

Picture perfect
Spent 3 days in picturesque Hoi An where photos don’t give justice to its natural beauty.
A great place to unwind and relax as the pace is slow and steady. The night market is a treat to experience and there are many beautiful lanterns for sale at very reasonable prices. The people are friendly and the service and food are also excellent. Had very good massages near the old town where we just randomly walked in. A destination not to be missed if you go to Danang! #summervacation
