'Mahal' view at Hawa Mahal
Totally in awe with the rear of Palace of Wind or #hawamahal. This 5 storey pink sandstone palace was constructed in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh. Reason being: to allow the royal women a view of everyday life including festivals and celebrations through the windows, as they never appeared in public (without face covering: purdah) #theguidetoldus
Trivia: How many windows are there? A: 953 windows (Jharokhas) in total 😂 but i was busy wondering it must have been a tiring task to wipe all the windows. hehe
anyway, we really love thr building that we came again at night to have another shot. l. The cooling effect in the chambers, are through the breeze passing by the small windows and enhanced by the fountains provided at the centre of each of the chambers

Unveil the charm of Jaipur, the Pink City of India.
Located in the southwest of New Delhi, Jaipur is the capital of Rajasthan in northern India. It is known for its unique pink buildings and is known as the "Pink City".
👇
The history of Jaipur can be traced back to 1727 (during the Yongzheng period of the Qing Dynasty). Its founder was Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, the ruler of Rajasthan at that time. Jaipur is mainly rectangular and divided into six districts. The city is designed in a checkerboard pattern. In 1876, in order to welcome the visit of the Prince of Wales (later King Edward VII of the United Kingdom), King Maharaja Ram Singh ordered the entire city's buildings to be painted pink, which is the origin of the "Pink City".

Pic 4: Hawa Mahal, also known as the Palace of the Winds, is located in the center of Jaipur and is a must-visit place in the Pink City. The building is in Islamic style. Hawa Mahal was built in 1799 by Sawai Pratap Singh. It was built for the prince's concubines to watch the outside world through these dense small windows. These small windows are in the shape of half an octagon and are hollowed out into a honeycomb shape, with a total of 953. In addition, these windows can also play a role in air circulation.
Pic 5-11: Jaipur Palace is one of the best-preserved ancient sites in India. This palace was built after the city-state of Rajasthan surrendered to the Mughal Empire and was completed in 1728. The descendants of the royal family still live here. Its architectural style combines traditional Indian architecture and Islamic architecture, and the entire palace group is mainly made of white marble.

HAWA MAHAL - JAIPUR
Intro - It was built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh of Jaipur, grandson of Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh, founder of the city of Jaipur.[1] He was inspired by the unique architecture of Khetri Mahal to build this great historical palace. It was designed by Lal Chand Ustad. Its five-story high facade resembles a honeycomb with 953 small windows called Jharokha, decorated with intricate grids.
Attractions - This is a five-story pyramid-shaped monument, about 15 meters high. However, the upper three floors are only about the size of a single room, while the first and second floors have front porches. Seen from the street, this structure resembles a giant beehive with small windows. Each window is narrowed in view by intricately carved sandstone lattice structures, capitals and domes. It gives the appearance of a large number of octagonal compartments, giving this structure a unique character. Inside it consists of rooms built by pillars and simply decorated corridors leading to the top floor.

A Solo Travel Guide to Jaipur, India
A Solo Travel Guide to Jaipur, India
Jaipur, also known as the Pink City of India, is famous for its orange-pink attractions. One can explore the city's sights by bus or taxi.
Travel tips: Uber is the most convenient way to travel in India. It's easy to get ripped off offline, so Uber's prices are uniform. You can pay directly by linking your card.
Sightseeing arrangement: In the morning, you can take a taxi to Amber Fort, the site of the ancient city of Jaipur. Built against the mountain, it is scattered with numerous palace ruins. It was built in 1592, and from Amber Mountain, you can overlook the entire city of Jaipur. The ticket price is about 40 yuan.
The second stop is back in the city to see the famous Palace of the Winds in Jaipur. The best way to appreciate it is to climb to the roof of the house opposite. There are many rooftop tea shops and cafes, and for about 4 yuan, you can overlook the Palace of the Winds.
In the afternoon, you can stroll around the old city. The Jantar Mantar Observatory is the best-preserved observatory in India, with a large number of astronomical instruments. The ticket price is about 10 yuan.
Next, I must recommend going to experience Jaipur's largest cinema, which is also the largest cinema in India. With its pink tone, retro curtains, and exotic atmosphere, the huge studio can accommodate thousands of people watching movies at the same time, providing a great experience.
Accommodation in India is generally expensive. For solo travelers, I recommend hostels, which cost about 80 yuan.
Food: Traditional Indian food is curry and roti bread, masala and naan, and masala tea. There's also biryani, which I really like. The average cost is about 12 yuan.

#wecreate
Hawa Mahal is located in the heart of Jaipur. We stopped on the way back to our hotel from Amber Palace. How I wished we were earlier because they only sell tickets up until 4:30 p.m. and we just missed it. We really wanted to see the entirety of this beautiful architecture so we found a restaurant just right infront of it. We ordered some snacks and enjoyed the beauty of Hawa Mahal.
If you want to explore it's interior then I suggest to go early or if you're doing our itinerary like going to amber palace first and just do a stop over here then leave Amber palace around 3 or 2:30 just to make sure that you make it there on time and you have enough time to explore inside.
PS. It is closed on Fridays and Saturdays.
Enjou your Jaipur trip.

Hurricane Palace | The fairy tale color town
hurricane palace that opened the window door without being blown by the wind was built in the middle of the 18th century. The pink city walls and many windows attracted a lot of light. It is a masterpiece in the history of Indian architecture, and because of the many windows, there is wind blowing in any part of the palace. If there is a gust of wind, open the window and the palace will not be blown down. Whenever the moon is empty, the entire palace shines, so it is also known as the "moon palace." From the inlaid carved windows, many palaces in the palace overlook the streetscape and celebrations, and can not be seen by men other than husbands.
The Palace of Hurricane is exquisite in exterior architecture, with good internal lighting and smooth ventilation. The cloister here is well-connected, but the exit can be easily found by signing. You may wish to look at the bustling scene of the Jaipur market through small windows like the old ladies. From here you can see the street view, on the other side you can see the city palace and the Jantar Mantar Observatory.

India's red palace, there are 953 windows? Meet the pink girl heart
wind palace is Jaipur's most beautiful landmark, hiding the secrets of the kings. A thin, narrow building with 953 windows facing the street, like a pink hive, and a nested bird cage.
It is said that the nephews of a hundred years ago did not leave the house, so in order to prevent them from being bored, the king ordered the construction of these small windows. There is also a wonderful function. When the wind blows, all the windows are opened and the whole building will not fall.
Tips: The Wind Palace is in different shades and presents different colors. Sometimes it is milky yellow, sometimes it is powdered. The best time to shoot is after 3 pm, and the whole palace is shimmering in the sun. The second floor cafe opposite is the best location.

If you ask what color is the best to capture the girl's heart, I think it is pink.
This city of India is a pink palace, a place for girls. The whole city is pink, not only the roof and the walls are pink, but even the female sari prefers pink, which is more intense than other places. It is called the powder city of the four-color city.
It is the capital of Rajasthan, Jaipur. It is the gateway to India's most fascinating state and is the place where many travellers to India must check in.
The city's Wind Palace is the iconic building in Jaipur. The tall red sandstone buildings have 953 carved openwork windows that are breathtaking.
kelvin..
Built in 1726 by Raja Shava Jay Singh II, this palace is a combination of Jastin and Mughal styles and is the residence of the princes of Jaipur. Even the current princes still live. Here, it can be said that it is a living palace. I have heard that the palace is made up of many palaces, and there are so many gates that I have forgotten how many gates I have passed before I can see the courtyard. When I first entered the gate, the two soldiers guarded by the gates greeted the group photo in the past. Although I knew that it was a trick to tip, it would be a pity that such a distinctive dress would not leave a lot of thoughts.
Appreciate the exquisite marble carvings of the Mubarak Mahal. We passed through another door to the Diwan-i Khas, which is architectural style and Agra Fort. The glimpse hall has arched doors and similar, typical Mughal architecture. As we linger and forget to return to the residence of the princes, we found a corridor leading to another palace. Slowly push open the half-covered court door, the scenery in the courtyard won our unanimous appreciation, this ticket value! The small courtyard has carved palace doors on all sides, symbolizing the seasons of the four seasons, among which the Peacock Gate of the Peacock Dynasty is the most amazing. It is said that this is the place where the royal family held a dance party. The floor on the palace gate is used for singing.
