This is my third visit to Kunming, and my first time to Haiyan Village, and I am amazed!
Haiyan Village is a village around Dian Lake, and it hasn't been developed for long.
It's important to note that the subway doesn't go directly there; you need to take a car for a bit. When returning, it can be hard to hail a cab to the subway station because drivers often don't want to take short trips.
There isn't a strong commercial atmosphere here, and many parts of the village are still under planning and construction. The environment is quite primitive, but that doesn't stop us from finding a beautiful coffee shop to 'relax' in!
You can watch the sunset, take beautiful photos, laugh out loud with friends, or just sit quietly. You can also pet the little dogs that the neighboring guests bring along.
We let down our guard and temporarily forget the trivialities of life. The meaning of travel seems to become tangible at this moment.
