The Most Beautiful City in South Australia—Adelaide Travel Guide
Adelaide, the capital city of South Australia, is unexpectedly beautiful, like a fairyland. Today, I will share with you the must-visit attractions and local delicacies in Adelaide! 💖
📍Must-visit attractions:
1. Central Market: This is the largest market in the Southern Hemisphere, where you can taste multicultural cuisine and experience the customs and culture of South Australia. It is a great place to experience local life.
2. Art Gallery of South Australia: A must-visit art destination in Adelaide. The exhibits here include works with unique Australian styles, covering landscape and historical oil paintings, allowing you to experience Australian culture through art.
3. Pink Lake (Lake Bumbunga): Located about 130 km from Adelaide city, it is a stunning and dreamy natural landscape. The dreamy pink lake water makes you feel like you are in a fairy tale world, a super romantic place. ‼[The best time to visit is on a sunny day after rain]
4. Adelaide Hills: Located in the southeast of Adelaide, only a 20-minute drive from the city center. It is the earliest place for grape cultivation and wine production, with ancient wineries and the German-style Hahndorf German Village.
5. Fleurieu Peninsula: A 1-hour drive south from Adelaide, it is a great place for diving, snorkeling, and fishing. There are also cute alpacas waiting for you to pet, and the modernist d'Arenberg Cube where you can enjoy wine and food.
6. Glenelg Beach: The most popular beach in Adelaide, where you can lie on the beach 🏖 and enjoy the warm sunlight and fresh sea breeze 🏝.
📍Must-try delicacies
🦞 Australian lobster, large and meaty, whether steamed or baked, is irresistible
🍖 Australian steak, high-quality beef, every bite is full of happiness
🍷 Adelaide's wine is classic, with over 60% of Australia's exported wine produced here, a must-try ✅
🍫 Haigh's Chocolate, one of the few manufacturers in the world that still makes chocolate by hand directly from roasted cocoa beans
📍Tips
✅The sun in Australia is strong, so pay attention to sun protection and bring sunglasses, sun hats, sunscreen, and other sun protection products
✅Some malls and supermarkets may not accept large cash payments, so it is recommended to bring a credit card or use mobile payment
✅The power socket type in Australia is different from that in China, mostly three-pin sockets, with a voltage of 220-240 volts. It is recommended to bring a plug adapter and converter
✅When encountering wild animals in the wild or nature reserves, keep a safe distance and do not feed or provoke them
‼English is the main language in Australia, and vehicles drive on the left side of the road. When crossing the road, look right first and then left, which is the opposite of China. If you want to travel by car, you can choose Trip.com's local carpool Chinese tour, with hotel pick-up and drop-off, Chinese-speaking drivers and guides throughout the journey, for an in-depth and worry-free tour.

Trip to Adelaide 🇦🇺
It was a trip to Adelaide, South Australia.
When we first arrived, we were exploring the City Centre
We visited Art Gallery of South Australia, which was established in 1881, this gallery houses one of Australia’s most distinguished art collections.

📍North Terrace, Adelaide SA 5000
We also visited Adelaide Botanic Garden which was established in 1855, the garden showcases native and exotic plants, including the Bicentennial Conservatory. Definitely worth to visit! It was so beautiful and we really enjoy working around 💯

📍North Terrace, Adelaide SA 5000
We then visited Africola for dinner. We ordered the peri-peri chicken and the vegetarian dishes like charred broccoli 🥦 Surprisingly, all the dishes that we ordered were so delicious and we really enjoyed. Not only the food, the services and vibes were amazing as well ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

📍4 East Terrace, Adelaide SA 5000
We also went to the Glenelg Beach which was founded in 1836, Glenelg is Adelaide’s most popular beachside suburb with historical sites like the Glenelg Town Hall.
The view was amazing but we managed to take some good pictures.
We also visited Glenelg to Adelaide Tram Ride. It is operational since 1873, offers a scenic route between the beach and the city.
We also tried the most famous restaurant, Press* Food & Wine. We ordered lamb shoulder and the raw seafood dishes. They were all very delicious and the price was considered average for the quality and portion of food we ate 😂

📍40 Waymouth St, Adelaide SA 5000
Last but not least, we went to Adelaide Central Market. It started its operation since 1869, this market is a hub for fresh produce and gourmet food. I always love to visit central market as this is the place we get to try all kinds of local foods! Definitely worth to visit ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Nice weather for the Beach in SA
#vianasjourney
It’s a good weather to visit the beach today. Took a free tram to Glenelg Beach from Stamford Plaza. I said free because according to the staff at the station, they won’t charge you if you come back in less than 2 hours. The area doesn’t look like how it used to be. Last time there were many colourful tents on the beach side and there’s also a ferris wheels which looks amazingly beautiful during sunset. I’ve asked a local and she said it was there in summer and they removed it in winter. Guess I better come during summer next time. But still, it’s a nice visit, also it’s free ride.

👙Beachy Time 🏖️🇦🇺
Glenelg Beach is a MUST visit in ADL. it’s a perfect get away from the city.
it’s located 30-40 min tram ride away from the city.
Now that it’s summer in the Aus it would be perfect to visit the beach and have a picnic 🧺 or swim in the ocean 🦈
The beach does get quite busy during the day so preferably going there in the afternoon closer to the evening would be a better idea if you wouldn’t want to burn your skin.
There’s also a Lott of nice restaurants and cafes that are worth visiting.

Adelaide’s Golden Beach (Glenelg Beach)
Glenelg is the most popular and most family -friendly metropolitan beach in Adelaide. It’s also the easiest to access. Just hop on the tram from the city and get off at Moseley Square, just metres away from the water at Glenelg Beach.
It is a lovely beach that will shine in sunset that you never seen before.
Jetty Road is a bustling mix of quality cafés, clothing boutiques and restaurants. End your day in luxury at the plush Stamford Grand hotel or Seawall apartments, overlooking the beautiful Glenelg beach.

Weekend spent in Glenelg
Glenelg is located in adelaode and is one of the most visited beach in adelaide.
- Glenelg Breach Broadwalk
- Hallet Cove
- Sugar Loaf Trial
Oaks Glenelg plaza pier suites is located right smack in the marina. That was where we had a nice stay overlooking the ocean with magnificent sunset view. Male sure you get the room with the ocean view.
We did 2 walks which is a short drive no more than 30mins from glenrlg. Hallet Cove where its popular among locals for wedding shots due to the backdrop of stones and the colour change in the midst of sunset making it a very romantic.
There are also several trial walks there and 1 specifically was the sugarloaf. It is a simple broadwalk with steps and gradual upslope with an approx route of 1.6-1.8km return.
You will be able to see the unique formation of the rocks which resembles hills of sugar around the broadwalk. Oh yes ants is abundance there but it isn't sugar of course!
Lastly at the lookout area at the top of thr hill, you could head down and climb onto the unique looking shape and coloured rocks for a quick photo.
This was a weekend well spent in glenelg.

Half day trip to Glenelg beach
What’s better than visit a beautiful beach during the summer!
Our joinery start with the iconic tram ride from Adelaide CBD and it took us about 30mins to reach. The tram ride is free for those boarding in CBD and all the way to Glenelg.
Upon arrival, you will welcome by the big ferris wheel just next to the beach and also an historical building - Glenelg town hall. The beach is very happening with full of swimmers who enjoy the summer.
Besides the beach, we walk along the Jetty Road, offers wide selection of restaurants, cafes and boutiques.
Glenelg beach is also famous with the beautiful sunset but we didn’t stay long enough for the sunset. We will visit again soon in the evening to watch the sunset.

Standing by the Torrens River, Adelaide Oval is not only a stage for sports events but also a scenic line of the cityscape. Whether at dawn or dusk, it radiates a unique charm. Walk from Glenelg to Grange Beach 🏝️
Glenelg Beach📍 ———2 hours———📍Grange Beach
This 2 hour trail walk is honestly so therapeutic and quite busy with so many families (but maybe this is just cuz it’s a Sunday). 🧑🧑🧒🧒
Overall this walk is very simple and nice. So many nice spots that are on this trail. 🚶♀️
Definitely don’t forget to bring water 💦 SPF 🧴 cap 🧢 and sunnies 🕶️ since there is not much coverage and the Australian sun is pretty strong ☀️

The prettiest beach walk 🚶♀️
2024 is definitely all about the healthy girl walk era.
This trail walk is from Henley Beach all the way to Grange Beach 🏖️ in Adelaide and honestly it’s the most beautiful trail that I’ve been on it was super stunning.
I think the trail goes all the way down to Glenelg beach as well, but I haven’t been on it yet.
This walk just made me so mesmerized by every single spot that I’ve seen. especially since I went there more towards sunset around 4/5pm.
To basically describe of how pretty it is on the walk is that I was just constantly taking pictures of everything and it just turned out amazing and breathtaking. 🤳

Glenelg Beach is basically my happy place!
The sandy shores, the chill vibes - it's a 5-star escape right in Adelaide's backyard.
I love how there's room for everyone to spread out, whether you're into building sandcastles, catching waves, or just catching some rays.
Jetty Road is like the cool neighbor of the beach.
Shops, cafes - it's the perfect spot to grab a snack or a cute souvenir after you've had your fill of sun and sea.
Bonus points for how clean and well-kept everything is. No beach day drama here!

This is vitality! South Australia hidden in the sea is different
❄️When the little potatoes in the south are shivering and rushing to the north for the winter, South Australia at the other end of the earth is enjoying a leisurely summer on the coconut coast🌊
South Australia has a coastline of up to 3700 kilometers. Here, going out to sea to embrace nature is the correct travel posture🧳. There are many experiences to explore the underwater world, such as ocean cruises, whale watching and diving with great white sharks, etc.
I have sorted out several ways to play and corresponding locations for everyone, choose a holiday to feel the charm of South Australia!
🐬Watch dolphins:
📍Glenelg Beach
Glenelg Beach is one of the most popular beach resorts in Adelaide, the capital of South Australia. In addition to lazily enjoying the sun and sea breeze, you can also board the Temptation🚢 and participate in various experiences of Temptation Sailing to start a magical journey!
There are more than 1,000 bottlenose dolphins living in the waters of Glenelg Beach. The sun shines on the sea, reflecting the rippling sea water, it is the time to watch dolphins. You can participate in the Wild Dolphin Watch experience, watch dolphins jump out of the water and chase fish on the yacht, and feel the waves and joy from South Australia. This feeling is very once in a life time~
If you like underwater projects, don't miss the Wild Dolphin Swim experience~ Come and have fun interactions with these lively and flexible little guys underwater, and feel the charm of the ocean elves!
🐳Whale watching:
📍Fleurieu Peninsula
Everyone knows that the mentality of whale watching should be Buddha, but June to September every year is the golden period for whale watching in South Australia. From June to September, South Australia is in the autumn and winter season. As the temperature drops, large southern right whales and humpback whales will migrate to the waters of the Fleurieu Peninsula, which also attracts many whale watchers. If you want to watch whales up close, you can choose to take the Big Duck Boat out to sea🚤. The staff will lead everyone through the shallow sea breeding area to watch southern right whales and humpback whales.
🦈Dive with great white sharks:
📍Port Lincoln
If you are more courageous, would you like to try diving with sharks? Come to 📍Port Lincoln, put on a diving suit, stay in a shark cage and dive to a certain depth, you will have the chance to encounter great white sharks. In addition to great white sharks, you can also swim underwater with happy and lively little sea lions. They will generously show you flexible and diverse swimming postures.
🎏Anyways, no matter where you are doing marine sightseeing activities, we should always maintain awe of nature. What we can do is to observe the living conditions of wild animals, not disturb or interfere, and should not expect them to perform for us. Also, remember not to apply chemical sunscreen when you go into the water.

If you want to see the sea in Adelaide, then Glenel Beach is definitely your first choice. Here is Adelaide's most beautiful sunset
from the city centre of Adelaide, the capital of South Australia. I took a class. The tram is very convenient to come to Glenel Beach, just hit the best light in the evening
Australia is very sparsely populated, people live in a state of leisure, see more than the city here The beautiful girl, the local family on the beach is on vacation, a bunch of little girls reveal the most pure smile, the mother is not too far away.
Take out the SLR, support the tripod, and start to capture the most beautiful light of the day in a time-delayed way.
The sand here is very delicate, don't worry about stomping at all, take off your shoes. This is the way to run
travel on the beach, bring a good mood~
Reminiscence_Has_You.
It is said that Glenelg Beach is the first settlement of British immigrants to Adelaide. There are shops, bars and hotels on the beach. The buildings are quite distinctive. However, we are not very interested in this. The tram came to the sun and the beach, of course, inevitably... the amount... blowing the cold... the sea breeze.
At this moment, fully understand the feelings of others, we are really wearing a down and trembling in the wind, Westerners wearing swimsuits in the sea.
Although it is shaking, but the heart of the devil's head is unchanged, not only to take the leadership, but also to shoot the devil.
At this time, the sea breeze seems to be more violent, the waves raging on the beach, the clouds in the sky stretch, the sun slowly sinking, the light is more golden, we know that the most beautiful moment of the day is coming.
After the last time in Oia, Santorini, the second time I saw the sun falling straight to the sea level, at that moment, people watching the sunset nearby could not help but shouted out.
When watching a movie, usually the climax is at the end, but there are some movies, and there are eggs after the end. This sunset drama is also the routine. When the sun falls, people leave, but we still don't give up. We waited for ten minutes, and the eggs appeared. It was amazing and the unparalleled Caixia came.
The beautiful beach on the edge of such a city, I also want to live here!
