Istanbul's Stunning Cityscape from Galata Tower
#cityscape #100waysoftravel #turkiye #turkey #istanbul #galatatower
One of the best ways to experience the breathtaking cityscape of Istanbul is from the top of the iconic Galata Tower. Standing tall in the Beyoğlu district, this medieval stone structure offers a panoramic view of the city's rich blend of history and modernity. From the tower's viewing platform, you can see the shimmering Bosphorus, the Golden Horn, and the sprawling skyline dotted with domes and minarets. However, be prepared for long queues—waiting almost two hours to take the lift is common, especially during peak times. Despite the wait, the stunning view from the top makes it all worthwhile, offering a perfect snapshot of Istanbul’s vibrant and timeless beauty.

Turkey - Istanbul (1) (Kaymak, Galata Tower, Galata Bridge)
Turkey is definitely one of the best travel destinations.
Istanbul Part 1~~!
You must have Kaymak as your first meal in the morning.
Menemen as a side dish, haha.
There are many hills, so walking can be inconvenient,
but you have to walk to see Istanbul properly,
so I highly recommend wearing sneakers.
You can take pictures at Galata Tower and see many people fishing at Galata Bridge, haha.
The color of the Bosphorus Strait is really deep blue, haha.

Istanbul's Ultimate Photo Spots Guide.
Istanbul, the land of stars and crescent moons⭐
Half Europe, half Asia🌐
When you come here, besides eating and shopping, taking photos is a must📷
Here are some recommended photo spots📌
-
1. Rooftop Galata (P1-P3)
A very popular spot among influencers. The staff will feed the seagulls in the background. You can choose their package (professional camera, costumes) or take your own photos. There is a set time limit, and during peak season, you may need to queue. It's highly recommended to go at sunset for the best shots.
2. Galata Tower
It's recommended to reserve an hour before and after sunrise and sunset for sightseeing. The entire Istanbul is breathtaking during the blue hour.
3. Golden Horn (P4)
Many photographers set up their cameras here. From the opposite side, you can capture the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. The old city is bathed in an orange hue at sunset.
4. Ortaköy Mosque (P5-6)
Also known as Ortaköy Mosque, it's one of the dazzling spots on the Bosphorus Strait. It's very popular among international photographers. Sunset photos here are stunning, but unfortunately, there are very few Chinese tourists.
5. Bosphorus Strait Cruise
It's recommended to take videos at sunset. The rolling waves, leisurely seagulls, and gentle sunset make for perfect footage.
6. New Palace Gate (P7-8)
A red dress looks stunning here. Capture your smiles and expressions at this spot.

Encounter the romantic city of Istanbul
The red vintage tram, the seagulls over the Galata Tower, the sunset at the Suleymaniye Mosque. These are the romance of Istanbul.
Istanbul, Turkey, has a history as bright as the stars and intoxicating natural scenery. In this place that exudes both classical and modern charm, everything can be romantic to the extreme.
To encounter romance, you must come to the Galata Bridge in Istanbul. The bridge spans the two continents of Asia and Europe. There are many famous ancient sites on both sides of the bridge. The bridge connects the old city and the new city, and the fishing rods on the bridge form a new landscape, especially at sunset, the scene is spectacular. Looking from one side, various fishing rods are arranged at a 45-degree angle, as if they are lining up to welcome guests from afar.
On the Galata Bridge, you can enjoy the scenery on both sides. When the weather is clear, the Bosphorus Strait is cloudless, the sea is blue, and the cruise ship passes under the Galata Bridge. The seagulls follow the cruise ship, high and low, becoming the most agile embellishment of the beautiful bay.
Walking on the Galata Bridge at sunset, looking at the Galata Tower, the seagulls flying around the Galata Tower in the twilight, and the mosque on the top of the mountain against the soft and dreamy sky.
The Galata Tower is a landmark of the new city of Istanbul. Today, it still dominates the skyline north of the Golden Horn. Climbing to the top of the tower, you can have a 360-degree view of Istanbul.

Istanbul; the epicenter of beauty
Getting There - there are two main airports serving the city, both some distance from the city center, however an hour's taxi ride, or jump in the local bus and you'll be instantly transported to an ancient world
Attractions - Mosques overtake the skyline in this beautiful city, with one to see on every corner. The Blue Mosque has been closed for several years but Sofia is a spectacle to behold. I recommend a small walking tour. A visit to Galata tower is a must, and a boat road.
Food & Restaurants - eat EVERYTHING! The Turkish delights and baklava are like nothing I've ever tasted. Every dish rich in flavour, there is so much more to Turkish cuisine than kebab. And don't leave the city without drinking the coffee.

Think of gorgeous views of the Black sea, stunning architecture and delicious food..
Although I didn't get a feel for the Turkish hospitality this time round, I still enjoyed the beauty of this magnificent city. After all, everything is fine when you start the day with a cup of strong Turkish coffee, sweetened by a piece of Turkish delight; then explore beautiful sights like the Golden Horn bridge and the Galata tower or the Blue mosque: then enjoy a freshly made fish sandwich by the sea for lunch...

Rating - It was nice to have lunch at the rooftop. Everyone from Nova cafe was welcoming and warm.
Actually, we went there to take some photos like what we see on Instagram. But there were a lady wanted us to pay 200 liras for 30-40 photos. That was unexpected and her attitude was very bad. So we ended up just taking photos inside Nova café instead.

Galata Tower, Istanbul, Turkey
Galata Kulesi (Galata Tower) is one of the symbols of Istanbul. You can even see it from the Bosphorus and from the western side of the city. It is located in Beyğolu, it is easy to reach with bus or metro that connect the district of Beyoglu with other areas. It is possible to enter and go up to the top with an entrance ticket.
But honestly, it is really stunning from outside! Both during day and night, people go there to take iconic photos. While there you can't miss these beautiful sights of the streets that lead to the tower. It is also very close to the famous Istiklal avenue, full of shops and cafes and where you can see the red tram passing by.

Galata Tower— Tower of History
📍Galata Tower
This tower has been the icon of not only Istanbul but of the whole Turkey. The tower experienced a lot of highlights in history of Turkey and even though it has been through ages and gone through experiences, its beauty has been well reserved.
The top deck will serve you an amazing 360 view of the whole Istanbul and of the Bosphorus strait. We spent an hour just taking all the view up there!
Inside floors of the tower has been customized: museum, observatory deck, 3D flying experience and a souvenir shop.
All worth the 30liras!
Trivia: The first flying man in the world took off
from the Galata tower and flew all the way to the other side of Istanbul’s continent (Asian side, Uskudar)

The Galata Tower stands in the heart of the new city of Istanbul. It was built in 507 by the Byzantine Emperor Anastasia. It was originally built of wood and was later burned during the Crusades until it was used by the Genoese in 1348. Rebuild the rebirth. This vicissitudes of the ancient tower has also been a number of positions: guard tower, prison, observatory.
This is a 7-storey building. It is the best place to enjoy the scenery of the whole city. It can take in the beautiful view of Golden Horn on the Galata Bridge on the Galata Bridge and become a local in the new city. The most popular place to relax.

In the peak season, it is said that there will be long queues. I came over in the winter, so I went up very quickly. I took the elevator directly to the top of the tower. From the Galata Tower you can see Istanbul. I was there until the sun set and the night sky became dark. Several mosques along the river lit up and the city lit up along with them. The wind at the top of the tower was very strong.
If you are visiting in winter, it will be very cold at the top of the tower. Fortunately, there are two restaurants at the top of the tower. There are many coffee bars and restaurants here, usually from 9:00 to 24:00. In the Galata Tower you can also enjoy oriental belly dancing, midnight performances and more.

Turkey | Istanbul New Town historic landmark ❤️
In addition to the two mosques in the Old Town, I believe that you must visit the Galata Tower in the New Town. Take their light rail and walk for a few minutes. Leading to this tower, there are many alleys, selling different specialty goods or many local small coffee shops, basically the alleys can already witness Galata Tower✨ I was not particularly interested, did not go up to the view station, but if you are interested you can buy tickets on the ground floor, so you can enjoy the view of Istanbul City from above 🫶🏻

Galata tower
The Galata Tower is on the other side of the Sea of Marmara. From the tower, you have a great view of the old town of Istanbul and I was able to take a few nice photos despite the bad weather. The tower itself is from the 14th century. There is a lift in the tower, and at the top you can go out onto the balcony, which is really quite narrow, with two people not being able to pass each other without bending down. The tower looks particularly cool at night because it is illuminated in red; as I said, the Turks are world champions in lighting.

Istanbul | Finally arrived at the "capital of the world" as Napoleon called it.
Napoleon once said
If the world could only have one capital
That capital would be called Istanbul
It also has a more resounding name, "Constantinople"
It was once the most glorious capital of the Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman Empires
The Bosphorus Strait divides the city in two
The east bank is Asia, the west bank is Europe
It is the only city in the world that spans two continents
It is also a melting pot of Eurasian culture
✍️Visa: E-visa $61.5, valid for 180 days, multiple entries allowed

The dreamy galata
Wanted to spend my 22nd birthday in a place I love and istanbul did not disappoint me, my hotel was very very close to the galata tower so I visited upto 4 times just while going to other destinations and coming back to my hotel. It was the most dreamiest tower I’ve ever seen. It felt so romantic at night. The vibes, the couples, the lights, just incredibly beautiful. As for the morning time, it was absolutely gorgeous with all the people hustling and bustling around the tower, so many shops under the galata tower. The infamous San Sebastián can also be found here right under the galata tower. In my opinion, this is has to be the highlight of my trip!#istanbul
