Spring Outing Hotels Around Shanghai
Spring is coming soon, and I will be updating a batch of hotels I have stayed at, all of which are great places to visit for spring outings and taking kids around Shanghai.
Fuchun Resort, Hangzhou
1. Transportation🚗: The hotel is located in Fuyang District, Hangzhou, about 200 kilometers away from Shanghai. It takes about 3 hours to drive there. It is a huge resort located in a very suburban area. If you are driving there at night, do not doubt whether you have taken the wrong road; it is indeed located in such a remote area. The hotel has shuttle buses, and even for picking up takeout, you need to take a shuttle bus.
2. How is the hotel🏨: Although I have stayed at and seen many hotels, Fuchun Resort really amazed me! The overall feel of the hotel is very similar to Huang Gongwang's 'Dwelling in the Fuchun Mountains'. It is located by the beautiful Fuchun River, surrounded by mountains, with white walls and grey tiles, and the eaves flying high. The Chinese-style buildings are leisurely scattered, as if you are in a painting, so beautiful that it makes you reluctant to leave. I feel that no matter how gorgeous my words are, I can't properly describe that beauty. In short, once you stay and see it, you will know what it is like. Moreover, despite the hotel opening in 2004, it does not show its 20-year history at all and is very well maintained.
3. What's fun: The hotel has a golf course, and even though we don't play golf, my family had a lot of fun. There is an indoor Han and Tang style constant temperature swimming pool, which is very large, and there is also a high-quality SPA; outdoors, there is an amusement park that kids love very much. My child wants to play on the trampoline every day, which makes me jump with the kid too. There is a petting zoo on the mountain, which requires an additional ticket to enter. There are outdoor camping tents where you can hide to read a book or listen to music; you can hike along the lakeside, frolic on the big lawn, pick tea in spring, take a shuttle bus to the top of the mountain to copy scriptures and worship Buddha, and enjoy the sunset; you can boat on the lake (requires an additional ticket), and have a travel photoshoot (guests staying at the hotel usually get 5 free film shots). If you really don't want to wander around the hotel, just go out of the south gate to the forest park, and strolling along the riverside is also very pleasant.
4. How's the food: You must book a room with breakfast included because the breakfast is really amazing! I still remember the name of the restaurant 'Da Chi Xiao Guan', a Chinese-style breakfast, lakeside restaurant. In the morning, while enjoying the mountain and lake views, having a delicious breakfast is truly one of the great pleasures of life. Our child, who is a picky eater, ate very well at this breakfast restaurant, and after eating, played on the lakeside balcony and did not want to leave. Since it is located in the suburbs, there are very few takeouts around, and not much delicious food, and takeout needs to be picked up by taking a shuttle bus to the hotel entrance (food must be picked up by oneself, other items can be collected on behalf).
5. How's the stay: The overall design style of the room is quite good, and the room service and amenities are not bad. However, in such a beautiful hotel, apart from sleeping, you will not stay in the room.
Key points: The hotel is suitable for visiting in spring and autumn, the scenery is absolutely beautiful, suitable for taking kids around, and remember to buy the hotel package products, which include food, accommodation, and fun, and offer great value for money.
