Siloso Fort
If you are into WW II history and exploring a trail then this is for you! Fort Siloso is Singapore's only well-preserved coastal fort that served as part of the country's defences. Fort Siloso Skywalk
Check out the amazing Sentosa Fort Siloso Skywalk for a picturesque view of Vivocity and Siloso Beach. This is an 11-storey elevated trail that provides you with amazing opportunities to enjoy a scenic trek around Fort Siloso. There are many boards and signages that provide information on the surrounding buildings and historical remnants. It is also close to a few trails that you can explore. This 181-meters walk is one of the most beautiful attractions on the island. There is a guide at the bottom of the tower to help you with your queries. As this trail is elevated, you have the option of taking the lift from the tower, using the stairs or making your way up via the trail at Fort Siloso.
I love how windy and serene this place is! It is definitely a good spot where you can take many beautiful pictures of the island, beach and the cable car station.

❤️ finding art along Fort Siloso ❤️
#valentinescape
After exploring Fort Siloso, we walked down the long road back to the beach front and were surprised to see some art along the way. When we first spotted the first painted rock/stone, we were still thinking of vandalism. But then, we quickly realised that many of the stones were painted over with pictures that are quite relatable to Singapore. We wonder who came up with this creative idea. It was very interesting and amazing and we had a great walk which we never anticipated.

Fort Siloso is one of the iconic history museums that we have left in Singapore's history that is located in Sentosa.
The latest addition to the series is a skyway on top of the national artefact where you can get the views of Sentosa, the beaches as well as the surrounding areas such as the reflections at Keppel bay and the entire harbourfront area.
It is 11 storeys high and 181 metres long. This skywalk is free admission!
To be honest it felt more like a observation sky way sort of tourist attraction.
Besides enjoying the view, you can also visit the fort itself down below where you can catch up on the history of Singapore during our times of occupation, marvel at the equipment that were used back in the day as well as the stories of the people who help to keep the country safe.

Exploring Fort Siloso
Located at Sentosa, Fort Siloso is built on top of a hill which once provided commanding views of the waters to the South of Singapore, as well as sweeping views of Keppel Harbour. It is a famous part of Singapore's history, being a well preserved coastal fort in Singapore and one of the main military forts that were built on Sentosa. On 15 February 2022, Fort Siloso was gazetted as a national monument of Singapore.
During the Japanese Occupation in the 60s, Fort Siloso was once used as a Prisoner of War camp. After the occupation, it was taken over by British forces before being handed over to the Singapore government in 1967. Today it is preserved as a tourist attraction on the Sentosa island.
We took the skywalk trail to get there from the Rasa Shangri-la Hotel and it was a nice walk to see an important piece of Singapore's history!

Southside Interim Market
Address: 80 Siloso Rd, 098969
Address: It is very near to Shangri-La Rasa Sentosa
How to go: You can take the Sentosa bus and alight at Siloso Point and take a short 2 mins walk
This is an alfresco dining area at Siloso Beach. Use Shangri-la Rasa Sentosa as a landmark and you can find Southside Interim Market easily. You can find it faster with the bright red shelter walkway. Do remember to make reservations and some of the restaurants in the Interim Market will only take pre-orders. So don’t be too upset if the place is overbooked. You can choose to sit inside under the fan or sit outside for marina views. You will be facing Reflections at Keppel Bay and it is such a nice view with the marina and skies. I ordered a watermelon IPA with fish nuggets while waiting for my pre-ordered pizza. I didn’t feel hot at all despite it being a non air-conditioned place. You order via a QR code and food will be served to you at your table. After dinner, you can just walk over to Fort Siloso Sky Walk to take a stroll.

Fort Siloso Skywalk & Museum at Sentosa SG
Address - Siloso Road, Singapore 099981
Fort Siloso is one of forts from World War II still standing today on Sentosa Island, so it had very rich heritage and stories to tell. From the entrance at Siloso Point, you can enjoy the skywalk that is about a 10 to 15-minute walk before reaching the Fort Siloso Museum. There is no entry fee so it’s free for everyone!
You can either choose to walk back via the skywalk or enter the museum. It was very moving to see and hear the happenings of the war and how this place has been through so much. A very eye-opening and educational attraction to visit!
My overall rating of the experience: 4 out of 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Guns on a Hillside!
This is a fantastic free attraction on Sentosa detailing the British military defence usage of this vantage point. I spent $15SGD to get here on the Cable car and back from Merlion station. Well worth it for the views. I was slightly troubled by previous reviews of the lift and then the "sky walk" over to the entrance to Fort Siloso from the Cable car station. I have terrible vertigo. However, without much of a look to the left or the right and keeping straight on I just strode over without any issues. The Fort is interesting and fun and without many visitors. Loved the dioramas and cheesy tape recordings. It was a very enjoyable Sunday morning visit for me.

🇸🇬 Fort Siloso @ Sentosa Island
Do you know that Fort Siloso in Sentosa Island is one of the latest additions to national monuments of Singapore? It was gazetted a National Monument on 15 February 2022.
Fort Siloso has a rich history dating back to the late 19th century when it was built in the 1880s as part of the British colonial defense strategy for Singapore. During World War II, Fort Siloso played a crucial role in the defense of Singapore against Japanese forces. It remained in use by the British military until Singapore gained independence in 1965.
The most convenient way to reach there is by taking shuttle bus A and alight at Siloso Point. We first took the lift up to Fort Siloso Skywalk. The fort is located at the end of the skywalk. Exploring the various tunnels was quite interesting! There were a few mini museums hidden in the tunnels documenting WW II.

I think this is the most awesome lift in Sentosa with the longest ride to the second level for free. Yes, you got it right at Fort Siloso Sky Walk. The distance from the second floor to the ground floor is 11-storeys high. The entire sky walk is 181 metres long and there is even a see-through bottom for the bravest. It is amazing to find this attraction for free. You can even visit Fort Siloso at the end of the sky walk for free too. At the top, you can see amazing views of Siloso Beach and Sentosa Cove. You can also see Shangri-la Rasa Sentosa too. For some parts of the sky walk, if you look down, you also can see the cannons inside Fort Siloso. There are several sheltered stop points along sky walk. So you can shade yourself away from the sun. It is definitely worth a visit especially if you are staying at Shangri-la Rasa Sentosa. It is so nearby, about 3 mins walk to Fort Siloso Sky Walk.
