I thought Iceland was beautiful enough, until I went to Norway
I spent a week in a dreamlike trip at the cold end of the world
Successfully took the cable car to see the pure white dreamscape at the mountain top
Chased whales in the Arctic Circle and waited for the aurora
Every frame in Tromsø is indescribably beautiful
Snow-capped mountains and European-style log cabins are everywhere
Deer wandering in the snow, whales swimming in the sea
It took me a long time to readjust after returning to London, everything felt so unreal
As if the days in Tromsø were a virtual dream
It seems like there's a travel hangover after visiting each place
In summary! It's as beautiful as a fairy tale world in an anime
The entire city is covered in a blanket of snow
It's really fun! So beautiful! I simply can't get enough...
You must experience chasing the aurora/dog sledding-reindeer sleigh/cable car/whale watching

Beautiful Tromso
one of the most favourite tourist destination in Tromso. it is a definitely must go. the view is awesome! it is only a short 4 mins ride to the top. there is a cafe where you can chill and relax while waiting for sunset. the city lights are incredibly pretty. There is a cafe on the top offers alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks but with limited selection of foods.
Heading up#tromsø#norway at night there are chances to catch northern light if you are lucky.

Winter in Senja Island Tromso
Last winter before Covid 19 arrived, me and my friend went for Scandi trip. One of the country we've visited is Tromsø, Norway.
It was unforgettable moment that we've experienced. Truly amaze with the country. Hats off to the owner of airbnb. I'm so thankful for the best experience.
Please scroll my picture. The airbnb that we've booked is so beautiful. Manage to see aurora with my naked eyes and dolphines too.
Nearby attraction in Tromso is : Funicular Fjellheisen. From the top, you can see the Tromsø town from above. if you love to hike, you can do it too. It is so refreshing up there!
Enjoy!!

Absolutely amazing views! This is a must do when you're here in tromsø!! It may be a little pricey but I promise it is well worth the views especially in winter time with the snow! It was snowing when we visited. The mountains are all covered with snow.
At the top there is a restaurant with coffee and tea. Also a very nice view from the cafe if you want to take a break.
Absolutely brilliant. Well worth a visit, and the views are spectacular.

Tromsø: The Arctic’s Magical Gateway
#europetrip
Nestled in the heart of the Arctic, Tromsø is a Norwegian gem where adventure meets awe-inspiring natural beauty. Known as the “Gateway to the Arctic,” Tromsø is the perfect destination for those seeking the thrill of the northern wilderness and the magic of the polar skies.
One of Tromsø’s biggest draws is the Northern Lights. From September to April, this celestial phenomenon dances across the night sky in vivid greens, purples, and golds. Whether you join a guided tour, venture into the wilds on a snowmobile, or relax in a heated Sami tent, catching the Aurora Borealis here is a bucket-list experience.
Daylight hours are equally mesmerizing. Visit the Arctic Cathedral, an architectural marvel that mirrors the region’s icy peaks, or ride the Fjellheisen cable car to a mountaintop for panoramic views of the city and fjords. If you’re here during the polar night, the soft glow of the “blue hour” will enchant you.
For animal lovers, Tromsø offers unforgettable encounters, including dog sledding, whale watching, and reindeer feeding. In the summer, the Midnight Sun turns night into day, creating a golden glow perfect for hiking and kayaking.
Round out your visit with a taste of the Arctic. From fresh seafood to local specialties like reindeer stew, Tromsø’s culinary scene is as memorable as its landscapes.
In Tromsø, every moment feels like a journey into the extraordinary, making it a destination you’ll never forget.

Tromsø Hiking Guide to Fjellheisen Mountain | Hidden Photo Spots
➡️ Take the bus to sherpatrappa, follow the navigation and you will see a small wooden sign with hiking symbols
➡️ You will encounter locals hiking and skiing up the mountain, so don't worry about getting lost, just follow the crowd and footprints
➡️ The snow season is really slippery, don't try it lightly without wearing crampons; we relied on our buttocks and hands to get down the mountain
➡️ It usually takes about an hour to climb up the mountain
➡️ Halfway up the mountain, there are many open areas for taking photos, which are just as good as the mountain top

Tromso, a fascinating night view worth seeing
Stollstein Mountain is a great place to see the panoramic view of Tromso. From the Arctic Cathedral, take the bus up the mountain to the parking lot of the cable car station. The season we went to was not the peak season, there were not many tourists, and the cable cars did not have to line up. As the cable car climbs, the view in front of it is getting wider and wider. There is a viewing platform at the top of the mountain. When night falls, the beautiful and pure Tromso is unreservedly displayed in front of you.

Norwegian Tromso mountain cable car, located in the old town across the river in the old city, I heard that the bus 26 can go to the cable car station, we can drive the car outside the station
