To chase the golden autumn
To chase the golden autumn
Hulunbuir is a very temporary decision
The most important thing about coming to Hulunbuir is that as a person who grew up in the south, and whose activity radius is around Jiangxi, my understanding of golden autumn only exists in texts and various literary works.
But in the end I decided to come to Hulunbuir because of the Ergun River on the route.
Chi Zijian's "Right Bank of the Ergun River" talks about the cycle of life and its cessation.
The story of Ukelengli, the life of reindeer, the mysterious shaman, the Evenki people walking down the mountain...
On the way, we also saw the Morgele River described by Lao She. The Morgler River flows quietly and calmly...
Beside these two rivers, I was thinking that the passage of life is like a rushing river, with twists and turns but no turning back.
A few years ago, they gave birth to countless lives, and they also witnessed the passing of countless lives. Today we stand beside them, and eventually... they will rush forward and watch us pass away...
I went to see the reindeer and chatted with the man in charge of recreation and breeding at the reindeer park. When I was leaving, the man said: Girl, even if you speak Mandarin and you don’t say you are a southern girl, I wouldn’t even think you are from the south. She is gentle, speaks softly, and has an open personality, so she is very attractive to people. In Ergun, I seem to be more able to feel the shock of nature, the weight of life, and people's enthusiasm for life.

Winter in Hulunbuir | A journey through a white wilderness.
| A journey through a white wilderness. I've always wanted to visit Hulunbuir, and it's even more mysterious in winter. As soon as you step foot on this land, you'll be greeted by a vast white wilderness. The endless snow covers the grasslands, and the rolling hills look like white buns. The blue sky, white clouds, and snow create a beautiful picture.
The Ergun River is frozen, and the ice caves witness the traditional winter fishing. The fishermen skillfully operate, and the fish jump happily. The rime in the Genhe Wetland is unique, with ice crystals wrapping around the branches. Walking on the wooden plank road feels like entering a fairy tale. Deep in the grasslands, cattle and sheep are not afraid of the cold, and smoke rises from the yurts.
This is also a paradise for winter sports. The ski resorts are full of passion, and dog sledding and horse-drawn sledding are full of fun. The food is also tempting, with tender and juicy hand-held meat, warm milk tea, and delicious dairy products.
Winter in Hulunbuir is cold but full of charm. The wonders of nature are on full display, and the Mongolian culture is rich. If you want to experience a different winter trip, this is the place to go.

Right Bank of the Ergun River
Today, I want to share a book that left me with a lot of thoughts after reading it - "The Right Bank of the Ergun River."
When I set foot on the land of the Ergun River, it was as if I had entered a magnificent yet delicate painting. The winding river is like a lively ribbon, dancing on the vast land, gently separating China and Russia, telling the vicissitudes of history and the sedimentation of time.
Standing on the riverbank, looking into the distance, the river flows endlessly, sparkling. The breeze brings the scent of the river and the fragrance of grass, instantly calming the soul. The sky is as blue as a gem, and the white clouds float in the air like cotton candy, contrasting with the green mountains and rivers, creating a beautiful scenery.
This book takes us into the mysterious and beautiful world of the Evenki people. In the vast forests on the right bank of the Ergun River, they live with reindeer and make a living by hunting. Every mountain, river, and forest there carries their stories. Their lives are simple and pure, full of awe for nature, and that awe is deeply ingrained, like an instinct of life.
"There is not a single cloud around the moon, it is so clear that one worries it might suddenly fall to the ground without any cover." This simple description allows us to see the unique and vivid world in the eyes of the Evenki people. And "there is no wound in the world that can never heal, although it may still hurt on rainy days after healing." Just like the Evenki people who have experienced pain in the changes of times but still live strong.

Oh my god, I think I've captured the autumn in Hulunbuir that you only see in movies.
Autumn in Hulunbuir
Every frame is like a world in an oil painting
From the Moer Gele River to the right bank of the Erguna River
Until you reach the end of the grassland
And see the endless blue
Autumn in Inner Mongolia is worth it!

The Argun River - the mother river of the Mongols.
The Argun River is located in the northeast of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Hulunbuir, and is the border river between China and Russia. The river is about 1,608 kilometers long and 200-400 meters wide. The river is deep enough for navigation, and the river basin area is 153,151 square kilometers. The main tributaries include the Kherlen River, Gen River, and Jiliu River.
The right bank of the Argun River is the Greater Khingan Primitive Forest, which is the birthplace of many hunting and gathering ethnic groups such as the Mongols, and is also the hometown of Genghis Khan.
The land along the coast is fertile, the forests are dense, the water and grass are beautiful, there are many types of fish, and the animal and plant resources are rich. It is suitable for farming and animal husbandry. It is a paradise for the Mongols. Therefore, the Argun River is called the mother river of the Mongols.

I thought Aershan was beautiful enough until I went to Ergun.
In Ergun, I found a haven for my soul.
If Hulunbuir can only choose one destination, it must be Ergun.
After five visits to Hulunbuir, I finally realized that "Right Bank of the Ergun River" is not just a book title, it is an adjective, so beautiful that it makes me speechless.
This seems to be a paradise for photographers. I dare say that no place can compare with Ergun in the autumn scenery. If I had known about Ergun earlier, why would I have gone to Aershan?

📍Here are some must-see attractions that will make your camera unable to stop:
1⃣️Ergun Wetland Park
Ergun has two wetland parks, and I was lucky enough to visit both, but the scenery here is more charming and the visit is easier and more enjoyable. You can take a vehicle directly to the top of the mountain, overlooking the colorful wetlands, and feel the rich atmosphere of autumn. The wooden plank road is covered with golden leaves.
2⃣️Ergun back mountain
This is a niche free attraction that only locals know. Each hilltop has its own unique flavor. It is especially recommended to visit at sunset. Cattle, sheep and horses stroll leisurely in the Mongolian manor, sitting on the swings, overlooking the entire wetland from the hillside, rendered into an oil painting by the golden sunlight. There are new surprises every time you visit.
3⃣️Ergun Sunset Mountain
This is the place where our driver brother herded sheep when he was a child. You can enjoy the magnificent sunset almost every day, located at the highest point of Ergun. As soon as we reach the top of the mountain, we can see the bright moon in the pink sunset. We can run freely here, enjoy our quiet evening, and take many unforgettable photos. We are so happy that we can't help ourselves.
-
❤️Luckily, I photographed the full moon in the pink sunset on the grassland. I wish everyone a happy Mid-Autumn Festival! Ergun, you must go and experience it.

🐑Grassland pastoral households
📍Heishantou, Erguna City
H@z3l Wh.t3
Wei Xiaobao didn't lie to me, the Ergun River really has treasures
📍Scenic Spot Address: From Manzhouli through Heishantou to Shiwei
Along the border line, accompanied by the Ergun River
Facing Russia across the water, the beautiful scenery is continuous all the way
🚗Scenic Spot Transportation: G331, a not-so-wide border national highway, with a constant flow of tourist vehicles. This is the place where I saw the most tourists along the way.
👍️Must-visit Scenic Spots: The scenery along this road is breathtaking, but most of it can only be glimpsed in passing. There are not many places where you can stop to take photos and check in, which is the only unsatisfactory thing. Even more regrettable is that aerial photography is not allowed on the border, possibly to avoid accidentally flying over to the other side and causing international disputes. Because of this, many beautiful views were missed.
🎟️Ticket Information: Free
💗Other Tips: Many S-shaped large bends in the Ergun River basin, with natural Tai Chi patterns in the river channel, are exciting to see and can only be kept in memory.

Waiting for a splendid sunset at Heishantou
It is said that the sunset at Heishantou is very beautiful, so I turned and walked towards the mountains.
Slowly climbing up the slope, the outline of the Erguna River gradually became clear, like a blue ribbon fluttering on the green grassland. In the distance, cattle and sheep appeared faintly on the grassland, suddenly understanding the artistic conception of 'the wind blows the grass low to reveal the cattle and sheep.'
The river on one side was already sparkling under the sunlight, like stars scattered all over the earth. The moon unknowingly climbed up into the blue sky.
Everything was so beautiful that I sat down on the slope to quietly appreciate and wait.
The sunset happened quickly, and in the blink of an eye, the sky changed from a fresh blue to a splendid orange, even the clouds were romantic.
When everything was bathed in warm twilight, I just wanted to enjoy the moment. In the past, watching the sunset, I always recorded it with my phone, forgetting that the eyes are the best camera. This time, I just wanted to immerse myself and enjoy it.

If you visit Hulunbuir, don't miss this border town
At the northern foot of the Greater Khingan Range, by the Ergun River, there is a border town facing the Russian town of Olochi across the river. It has a beautiful name, Mongol Shiwei.
It borders the Enhe Russian Ethnic Township to the south and is often compared to Enhe. Some suggest choosing Enhe, while others prefer Shiwei. If you have enough time, it is recommended to explore both Enhe and Shiwei deeply to discover the unique beauty of these two towns.
If you come to Hulunbuir and arrive in Shiwei, don't miss these experiences:
1️⃣ Viewing Platform to Look at Russia
Navigate to Unity Square to reach the viewing platform. From there, you can see the winding Ergun River, vast green grasslands, and leisurely cattle and horses. Across the river is the Russian town.
2️⃣ Border River Boat Ride
Walking forward from the viewing platform, you can see the border river boat ride. The ticket is 60 yuan per person. As the boat sails on the Ergun River, scenes from the book 'On the Right Bank of the Ergun River' often come to mind.
3️⃣ Sunset at Shenxianpo in Linjiang Village, Shiwei
Navigate to Linjiang Tun and walk towards the mountain top to reach it. The sunset at Shenxianpo is beautiful, with golden warm sunlight spreading over the winding river, providing a warm and healing power through the natural cycle of sunsets and sunrises.
4️⃣ Stay in a Wooden House
The wooden house is a typical residence of the Russian ethnic group. When you come to the border town, you must experience the customs and culture of the Russian ethnic group! However, the sound insulation of the wooden house is poor, so friends who mind should choose carefully!

Card Line Highway
The border defense highway from Heishantou Town to Shiwei Town in Eerguna City, Inner Mongolia, especially the section from Wuka Village, passing through Wulan Mountain Scenic Area, to Qika Village (more often in reverse), offers particularly stunning roadside scenery. The highway runs along the Eerguna River, with picturesque views. In late July, large fields of rapeseed flowers await you.
Self-driving arrival.
Roadside scenery along the highway, no tickets, no documents required, no border defense certificate needed.
Qika Village offers accommodation, better than staying in Shiwei.

Sharing the most worth-collecting guide
Hulunbuir Travel Guide No.1 The most concerned issues for everyone when traveling are transportation, accommodation, entertainment, and scenic spot tickets. This Hulunbuir travel guide will save you a lot of precious time.
Hulunbuir Travel Guide No.2 Hulunbuir Food: When traveling, the temptation of food is indispensable. It is very important to have delicious meals after getting tired. We tasted authentic Hulunbuir food, including: roasted whole lamb, cold water fish, iron pot stewed beef ribs, chicken stewed with wild mushrooms, and a series of other delicacies. The barbecue we made ourselves was extremely delicious.
Hulunbuir Travel Guide No.3 Accommodation This issue troubled me for a long time before going to Hulunbuir because we changed cities every day and had to consider where to stay, the conditions, whether there were mosquitoes, and whether the accommodation online would be different from reality, whether the price would increase or there would be no rooms available upon arrival, etc. All these problems were solved by our driver. The arranged accommodation was very clean and hygienic. Hulunbuir has several characteristic accommodations. The first is the grassland characteristic Mongolian yurt. The yurt we stayed in was very clean, with large floor-to-ceiling windows, and we could also see the starry sky. It was beautiful! The second characteristic accommodation is the Russian-style wooden house. The whole building is made of Russian wood. Entering the house feels like walking into a big forest. The only downside is that the rooms are not soundproof because they are made of wood, but it is still very necessary to experience it for one night.
Hulunbuir Travel Guide No.4 Hailar This place is the gathering point for everyone. After landing, contact our driver in advance. We had a total of 4 off-road vehicles, very professional. Each car had a walkie-talkie, professional drivers, and a professional team, which left a deep impression on us! They arranged everything very clearly for us throughout the trip. In short, the Hulunbuir trip was very worry-free, with good food and good accommodation!

Autumn in Erguna beckons, why not hurry over?
In the early morning, driving from the Morghol River, which still retains the last hint of summer's green grasslands, to Erguna, the green fades to yellow, and you slowly step into the territory of autumn. Compared to the Erguna Wetland Park near the city area, it is more worthwhile to visit the Erguna National Wetland Park. The national park.
It takes quite a while to walk through the park, and it's more cost-effective to take a small tour car for the first half of the journey, which can take everyone through the highly similar forests.
After getting off the car, the golden tree clusters wrapping the meandering river are very beautiful. After crossing the bridge, you need to continue through a small section of forest, where the little squirrels and protected birds are quite active, occasionally brushing by your feet, and the shadows of the falling leaves are all uniquely charming. After walking out of the forest boardwalk, you reach the mountaintop waterfall overlooking the wetland landscape. Although it's an artificial waterfall, the drone check-in effect is still pretty good, haha. After crossing the bridge, you start to climb the 381 steps of the boardwalk to the mountaintop. The first half of the steps are somewhat steep, and most people are panting with hands on hips, but the birch forest is beautiful, glowing brilliantly yellow in September, and you won't feel it's too far with occasional stops.
The view from the top is also rich, and as the sun appears or hides behind clouds, the colors change unpredictably, becoming even more layered with the interplay of light and shadow near sunset.
Unfortunately, it seems that the park's tour car is too late to pick up people, and we didn't know that, only to find out that the artificial waterfall had closed for the day.
However! On the drive to and from the park, there are also several spots where you can temporarily park and overlook the wild wetland landscape, which is just as good as inside the park, and some even allow you to walk close to the water's edge. After visiting the national wetland park, we watched the shepherds herd sheep home by the roadside, waited for a sunset and moonrise, and returned home satisfied~

Manzhouli and Hailar both have airports, with options for direct flights or flying to Harbin and then transferring to Hailar. If there are fewer than four people, carpooling is also an option, allowing you to meet new friends.
🎈**For entertainment,**
It is recommended to go horse riding at the Heishantou professional horse farm, especially beautiful at sunset. Most charter companies arrange stays in Mongolian yurts. The longest zip line in Hulunbuir is the Grass Slide 186, costing between 100 to 300 yuan each time.
**Delicacies‼️‼️**
When in Hulunbuir, you must try authentic Mongolian cuisine! My list before going included: yogurt, date cake, pot milk tea, beef bone, yogurt bun, lamb offal soup, beef hot pot. Mongolian food in many places can be too gamey! I recommend a Han-ified Mongolian restaurant that is delicious and authentic. You must go and try it.
👗**For attire,**
I personally prefer the blue and yellow color scheme, with ginger yellow and blue and white also being good choices.

Shiwei—a small frontier town in Inner Mongolia by the Erguna River
Surrounded by the enchanting colors of autumn, we reached the small frontier town of Shiwei in Inner Mongolia by driving along G331.
What to see in Shiwei
Shiwei Town is a larger Russian ethnic village with the Shiwei Port. The main street in the town features some Russian-style architecture. Accommodations are primarily characterized by wooden log cabin style homestays.
The main attractions are in the village to the north, Linjiang Village
Linjiang Village is a small village 20 minutes' drive from Shiwei, right next to the Erguna River, with beautiful scenery. At the entrance to the village, there are high grounds where you can climb a small slope to view the river scenery; the big bend is very beautiful and is a great place to take sunset photos, highly recommended!
Driving along the river through Linjiang Village, just a short drive to the end, there's a place called Eagle's Mouth, with road signs pointing the way, as shown in the last picture. You can see a mountain full of birch trees, offering a very nice view, recommended.
The drive past Linjiang Village is very picturesque, and we stopped to take photos whenever we saw something beautiful.
Accommodation
We stayed in Shiwei Town because we wanted to relax a bit, so we stayed for three days. I see that most people only stay for one night. The key point is that the accommodation is cheap, a little over a hundred per night, with air conditioning and electric blankets, and it's quite clean, so it's very cost-effective. Every day we went to the Erguna border for a walk, under the blue sky and white clouds, which was especially comfortable. Just across the river is Russia.
Cuisine
In the north, people eat a lot of hot pot. We tried three restaurants, and after comparison, the Modala Restaurant on the main street is very good. The tendon hot pot is super tender, the best we had on the trip. Other hot pots and stir-fries are also delicious, with no disappointments. We went there for four meals.
About Lieba Fang (Don't miss the Kvass)
There are many Lieba Fangs in Shiwei Town, with various kinds of lieba, cheese, yogurt, and kvass. We tried kvass from three stores and liked the kvass from Lida Lieba Fang the most! We bought two bottles every day, and when we left, we took five bottles with us. Their kvass has a rich wheat aroma and a woody scent, better than any I've had before. The other two stores had kvass that was either too sweet or too sour, but Lida's had the strongest wheat flavor, which I really liked.

A small border town by the Erguna River
Enhe Town, under the jurisdiction of Erguna City, Hulunbuir City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is located at the northernmost end of Erguna City, in the hinterland of the northern foot of the Greater Xing'an Mountains. It is the northernmost town in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, facing Russia across the Erguna River. The average annual temperature here is -6°C, the lowest temperature is below -50°C, and most of the area is a pristine forest rarely visited by humans, with extremely rich resources.

Right bank of the Erguna River
Perhaps it's because of a book that this name came into people's view. From the Shiwei port in Hulun Buir, Inner Mongolia, along the right bank of the Erguna River, passing through Ulan Mountain, Heishantou Town, and then to the 186 Ribbon River, more than 200 kilometers of border highway, commonly known as the 'Ka Line', can be called 'the most beautiful border line in China', it is definitely a good route for self-driving.
In September, after several autumn rains, when the grassland sheds its proud green and puts on golden autumn clothes, coupled with unpredictable weather, it makes the colors here change at any time, this colorful picture can make people stop for a long time...

Qi Qian, a village on the Sino-Russian border, exists like a utopia
Starting from the Moerdaoga Forest Park and following the winding mountain road, you will gradually leave the hustle and bustle of the world. After passing through Bailu Island, you finally arrive at Qi Qian Village, a mysterious village isolated in the heart of the primitive forest in the northern part of the Greater Xing'an Mountains.
Qi Qian Village is located on the right bank of the Sino-Russian border river - Erguna River. There are few inhabitants here, only seven households, as if it is a microcosm of another world. The residents here coexist harmoniously with nature, and the people living here seem to have forgotten the passage of time and live a life of peace with the world. Erguna River
In the early morning of Qi Qian Village, it is like a beautiful painting. The crowing of crows, the barking of dogs, and the grazing of cattle form a wonderful symphony. The grass here is as beautiful as a green ocean, and the cattle are enjoying their last few meals before winter comes.
Entering this utopian village is not an easy task. You need to book the inn inside in advance, report your license plate number and ID number to the forest protection station, and check the information when passing. If you haven't booked the inn or haven't passed the check, you can't enter this mysterious village. Moreover, you have to fill up with gas before you set off, because there is no gas station inside.
It rained all day yesterday, the road construction was suspended, and we arrived at the village smoothly. Today, when we returned, the weather was clear, the road was being paved, but we encountered a road closure. Unlike other places where construction allows one-way traffic, the road closure here has reached the point where even bicycles cannot pass. We can only wait patiently, but fortunately, the sun is shining, we bask in the sun and eat pine nuts, spending a different time.
Life in Qi Qian Village is full of unknowns and surprises, and every trip is an adventure. The lifestyle here, the natural environment, and the cultural landscape are all fascinating, everything here seems to come out of a painting. Here, you can feel the magic of nature, and also feel the simplicity and kindness of humans.
In short, Qi Qian, the Sino-Russian border village, is a place worth exploring. If you are tired of the hustle and bustle and busyness of the city, why not come here to experience the tranquility and harmony of nature. The beautiful scenery and mystery here are waiting for you to discover and experience. Come and join us! Here you will have an unforgettable journey!

The Ergun River is the source of Heilongjiang Province. It is known as the "Wangjian River" and is the transliteration of the honkirnaur of the Tungusic language (Ewenki), meaning the Ewenki River. As soon as I arrived at Linjiang, I walked along the border road of the Erguna River. I saw barbed wire along the way, reminding us that we must not cross the border. The
blue Ergun River flows quietly, and across the river is a small Russian village.
Sunset backlighting There are grazing horses along the Ergun River, which is very artistic.
YIYI NOTES.
When I was planning, I said "moon bubble" on the Internet, but there are very few detailed introductions. Jin Ge very recommended us to come over, moon bubble
