Dutch vibes in the park! 🇳🇱
As a Shenzhen ex-pat who enjoys exploration and travel. I traveled to several wonderful locations in Shenzhen. However, I was somewhat taken surprised when I learned about this obscure park in the Nanshan neighborhood.
The fact that this park has intriguingly European feelings and was designed with a lot of Dutch influence caught my eye. One of the first things you'll notice is the abundance of flower shops. Of course, there are a lot of people who sell tulips and other flowers.
In the middle of the park, there is a single large tower. The park is one of my favorites because it is not overrun with restaurants and people. Therefore, even if you visit on the weekends, you won't notice a large crowd here.
My favorite site there is a wide-open hill where you can view the windmill from the top. If you travel a little way down, though, you'll find a garden along with some intriguing tales and sculptures. It was very wonderful to learn about that famous Tulip mythology.
There is also a lake nearby, along with a few benches where you may relax and take in the peaceful surroundings. This park is unique because it stands out among Shenzhen's other parks by being exceedingly white.
Considering that the majority of visitors are those looking to purchase flowers. I also enjoy how this garden is in a different location from where the flower stores are. For everyone who likes European fashion designers, fland owers, or just someone like me who enjoys exploring and discovering new aspects of this city's beauty. You should check it on your own and gain experience doing it that way, in my opinion.

Two Cats Cafe 🍰☕🥤
I found the best cheesecake i've had here in Shenzhen in my 4 years stay here. Surprisingly, i found it in a little cafe called Two Cats Cafe, located inside the Dutch Flower Town, in Nanshan district. A small and cozy little cafe with a fun and eccentric interiors. They serve different kinds of coffee, cakes, milkshakes, fruit juices and some wines. The space is really small but it was designed really nice, eccentric and interesting.
And they got friendly prices, very affordable.
i had to try their chocolate milkshake too, and it was good! 😋😋😋

Exotic Blooming Time: Roaming the Dutch Flower Town
Upon entering the Dutch Flower Town, it feels like stepping into a distant European country. Elegant windmills stand in the center of the town, slowly turning, as if transporting people back to the leisurely times of the Dutch countryside. Cobblestone paths meander through the town, flanked by colorful houses and a sea of vibrant flowers, creating a romantic and serene atmosphere.
Inside the flower greenhouse, exotic flowers compete in beauty, and the air is filled with a delicate floral fragrance. Whether it's the dazzling tulips or the rare and unique tropical plants, they all captivate the eye. Occasionally, the clear chirping of birds adds a touch of liveliness to this floral kingdom.
Sitting by the water, gazing at the reflection of the colorful flower scenery on the lake, with a gentle breeze blowing, the picturesque view is mesmerizing. Here, time seems to slow down, allowing people to forget their worries and fully enjoy the leisurely moments intertwined with nature and culture. The Dutch Flower Town is not only a place to admire flowers but also a spiritual journey away from the hustle and bustle.

Featuring the “flower culture”, Dutch Flower Town is a unique park combining leisure, exhibitions and commerce, with iconic windmills and tulips in spring.
It’s one of the smaller ‘parks’ in Shenzhen and can easily be visited in an hour or two. With windmills and tulips, as well as statues of cows and European style buildings. Not Shenzhen, you still have such a good place!
The 20-minute park rule is real, I love coming to these big green lawns.
I once lived in Nantou Ancient City for a few months, and this is my first time coming to the nearby Zhongshan Park. The Dutch Flower Town across the street is full of flower stalls, very cheap and fresh.
This time, my favorite place in all of Shenzhen is not Shekou, it's here!

No, it is not the Netherlands. It's Shenzhen!
Guangdong and China have a history of recreating international places, such as the 'Alps' at Window of the World, the Venetian or Parisian in Macau, and the Huawei 'European Town' in Dongguan.🏘
Shenzhen is the latest addition to this trend, with its Dutch flower town. It is located in Nanshan District. Shenzhen's small park offers windmills, tulips, cow statues, and European-style buildings for a quick recreational visit.💐
What to do:🌟
1. There is a small park to walk around with a large green area where you can sit or relax or even have a picnic. 🧺
2. A small lake is nice to look at, and there are lots of trees and flowers around to give a feeling of vibrancy and color with amazing photo opportunities. 📸
3.Also a nice choice for wedding photographs.👰
4.Several little cafes and tea shops are dotted around here, and all locally owned and run, no big chains in sight, which is a welcome change.☕️
5. There is a shopping mall not far away if you want more substantial dining options.🏬
6. Various types of fresh flowers, potted plants like cacti and succulents, and artificial flowers are available at the flower shops. Customers can choose to buy flowers loose, arranged, or in a vase, depending on their preference. These shops offer a wide range of options to brighten up homes or offices.🌻
Tips:ℹ️
1. The prices here are excellent, and as with most things, they can be negotiated by savvy buyers.💰
2. The market does not limit you to flowers. There are also some pet shops and you can buy anything from a fish to a dog, from a cat to a snake.🐕
3. The weekend has the larger selection of flowers to buy from with pop-up stalls, with a weekday only having the shops.♾️

Dutch Flower Town
The tulips of Dutch Flower Town are in full bloom, attracting many tourists. On the last day of the Spring Festival holiday, there are still many visitors buying flowers and strolling through the gardens. The works from the Welcome Spring Floral Design Competition are still on display, and they are very beautiful. It seems to be in human nature to love beautiful flowers and colors; walking among the flowers inexplicably lifts one's spirits. Actually, the flower market before the Spring Festival should be the liveliest and most atmospheric. If I have the chance to spend the New Year in Shenzhen again, I must come a few days earlier to properly enjoy the flower market.

Early March in Shenzhen
The spring is brimming
Bougainvillea, azaleas, magnolias, Bauhinia flowers, kapok, tulips🌷
Competing to bloom first!
The flowers of spring
Truly a once-in-a-lifetime encounter
A few days ago, I went to the Garden Expo Park to see the most beautiful bougainvillea
The timing was just right
The flowers were in their prime
But today, I went to the Holland Flower Town to see the tulips🌷
More than half of the flowers had withered
The blooming period is as brief as spring itself
Year after year the flowers look alike
But year after year the people change

I got a tulip flower sea shooting spot in Shenzhen for free during the Chinese New Year
First, walk to the center of the flower sea, where there is a stone path leading to the windmill! It's beautiful to have someone stand on the stone path and let your friends take pictures from the side and back! Emphasize two key points❗️
1️⃣0.9 times can take more flowers💐 to make the picture fuller
2️⃣Place the person in the middle or 1/3 of the picture
Then take close-up portraits, find a place where the light is more even, and the skin will be softer in the shot~

The maple tree in the small town
The maple tree, my heartfelt love, originates from its "greeting and sending off". When I was a child, the first thing I saw when I opened the door was the maple tree. When I came home from school, what I saw from afar was also the maple tree. The windows in the north, west, and south of the upstairs and downstairs were all maple trees. The maple tree, although not as straight and tall as the poplar, not as attractive as the peach tree, not as proud and green as the pine and cypress, but the yellow flowers in spring, the shade in summer, and the colorful autumn have become the symbol of home. Since childhood, the maple tree has left a mark on me year after year, getting deeper and deeper. Even when I see ancient poems describing maple trees, I will read them several times. Lv Wei's "Nan Ge Zi·Ce Zhang Chuan Huang Pu" from the Song Dynasty, "Deng Lin laughs at the late wind. The endless autumn color covers the clear sky. I see the sunset on the river from afar, and the flying pongs. The wild geese pass the Gengpu far away, and the mountains are connected in dreams. A forest of maple leaves falls into sorrowful red. Go back to the deep place of the evening smoke, listen to the sparse bell", is one of my favorites. Now walking on the land of Qilu, seeing this piece of maple trees in Qingzhou, my father-in-law's hometown, suddenly brings up family affection, both the love for maple trees when I was a child, and the involuntary miss for the old man who has passed away...
Finally bought it, it's very beautiful, the big red of the stamen· My longing for autumn, my flowers along the way~

Flower trade market in Shenzhen 🌺🌸💐🧺🌷
#timetotravel
The Dutch Flower Town is nothing like Amsterdam or other cities in the Netherlands but it is a nice flower trade market to visit if you like pretty flowers 🌹💐🌸🌺🌷🌻.
To get there, you can take the Metro Line 1. The closest station is the Daxin Station. However, you would still have to walk about 20 minutes from Exit B. Cabs in Shenzhen are not too expensive so if you want to save time and energy, I would recommend getting a cab.
The Tulip Street is the main street where you can find flower stalls on both sides of the street. The shops offer extensive selections of products for cheap, I was so tempted to buy a bouquet of tulips!!
As you walk further down the street, you will stumble across a windmill. The windmill is definitely the landmark of the Dutch Flower Town because it is crowded with visitors trying to take pictures and many are picnic-ing there 🧺.
Such a fun and interesting place to visit in Shenzhen!!
