A very warm welcome by Langkawi’s eagle
Such a nice place to arrive to after coming with the ferry. The weather is indeed hot here but the water nearby makes it so refreshing and the wind too. Everything is very walkable around you, there are duty free shops nearby. Food options are also plenty and if you aren’t into local food, you will find plenty of western options in chain restaurants and franchises.

2023, the first outbound trip, heading to Malaysia 🇲🇾.
On February 1st, I started my journey from Changsha and arrived in Kuala Lumpur via Hong Kong. Kuala Lumpur is the capital of Malaysia and has many delicious foods and attractions, making it a worthwhile place to visit. Here, I tasted the local specialty of Bak Kut Teh, a soup made from pork, herbs, and spices, with a rich and delicious flavor that I will never forget.
Next, I arrived at Aro Street, which is a vibrant and lively place with many snack shops and stores. It's a great place for shopping and tasting local cuisine. I wandered around here, bought some local specialties, and also tried some local snacks. It felt really good.
The next day, I went to the Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur. This is a skyscraper with a height of 452 meters and is one of the iconic buildings in Kuala Lumpur. I took the elevator to the top floor and enjoyed the stunning view of the entire city, feeling very impressed.
Next, I took a plane to Langkawi, which is a beautiful island with blue sky, white clouds, and blue sea, a great place for vacation and leisure. I went to Eagle Square, one of the most famous attractions in Langkawi, where there are many eagles to watch and take photos. Afterwards, I went to the beach, feeling the beauty of the sea breeze and waves. There were many tourists and local residents playing and sunbathing on the beach, very comfortable.
Finally, I am waiting for the arrival of the sunset, with the sun setting in the west and the interweaving of light and shadow on the sea, which makes people feel very wonderful and magical. Here, I feel the tranquility and beauty of nature, and also experience the joy and meaning of travel.
This trip has brought me many wonderful memories and experiences, and has also helped me to better understand different cultures and ways of life. Traveling is an attitude and a way of life that allows us to step out of our homes, explore the world, and experience the colorful and wonderful aspects of life.

Langkawi - Eagle Square (Dataran Lang)
#newyearadventure
Eagle square is Langkawi’s one of the most famous tourist attractions. It is located on the Kuah Jetty and takes about 30-40 minutes from Langkawi International Airport by taxi. It is better commuted by private cars or taxis, as there are not many options for public transport.
The square is accessible all day and open 7 days a week. At night, the eagle and the adjacent buildings are illuminated, which makes it beautiful and so romantic to sit and watch the ferries.

Landmark Of Langkawi
This is a must visit place if you come to Langkawi. The big eagle icon is their pride overlooking the harbours as its one of its main icon for Langkawi which its name resembles an eagle or helang in Malay language.
Nice spot for photo taking both in the day and at nite. Just chilling and walking around that area could be fun. Lots of eateries nearby and their local handicrafts shops are plenty here too. Kids will love here as its quite a big space area for them to run around and of course handmade toys are also sold here. Quite popular for locals too as they have their family time together esp on wkends. I would avoid day trip though cos its soo hot in Langkawi but if you love the sun, go for it! #dataranhelang #datanglang #langkawi #malaysia

Eagle Square - Langkawi, Malaysia
We arrived on the island by ferry and saw a huge figure of an eagle just from the pier. This majestic red-brown sculpture is the symbol of Langkawi island.

#tripaway Located in Kuah Town and next to the jetty, Eagle Square or Dataran Lang is the place that reflects origin of Langkawi's name. The square is marked by a sculpture of a reddish brown eagle which is poised to take off. Langkawi's name has been derived from reddish brown eagle, because in old Malay language Helang means Eagle, and Kawi stands for reddish brown. So this manmade statue of the eagle placed on a huge star shaped concrete platform has been created to reflect this background of the island where an eagle is the symbol of Langkawi.

The iconic building in Langkawi, in addition to the bridge of the sky, is the giant eagle of the Giant Eagle Square. After we left the bridge of the sky, we went to the Giant Eagle Square and wanted to see the charm of this giant eagle.
came to the Giant Eagle Square and has not seen the giant eagle being attracted by the beautiful lake here. The lake is very clear and quiet, standing by the lake, across the lake Some buildings and trees are reflected in the lake, beautiful and unusual.
Through the lake and the bridge, you can see the giant eagle that is flying in the sky, not far away. Langkawi is the red-brown eagle in the Malay scriptures, and the Eagle Tower, built in 1996, has become the symbol of Langkawi since its completion. The eagle spreading its wings also symbolizes Langkawi. Like the eagle flying high, the future economy is booming.
Ni_Leichu.
The Eagle Tower was built in October 1996. The tower is 45 meters high and weighs more than 10 million horses. The majestic posture of the eagle symbolizes the Langkawi like an eagle flying high and represents the future economy as it is booming. The entire square also has beautiful lakes, fountains, bridges, cloisters, etc. The well-planned plaza is a good place to enjoy the night view and enjoy the sea breeze. Giant Eagle Square is the most representative magical building in Langkawi. Looking from afar, I saw a brown-red giant eagle standing on an empty square, standing on a stone tower a few meters high, opening huge wings, unruly and proud posture, as if the next second would be washed. It’s so shocking that it’s soaring. The proud attitude of the giant eagle symbolizes the future development and prosperity of Langkawi, and is therefore highly respected and loved by the local people. There is also a tranquil lake around the square, which is also very beautiful.
Zhou_Yusi.
The highlight of the square is the 12-meter-tall eagle statue, an impressive and majestic representation of the bird in flight. The statue is beautifully lit at night, making for an excellent photo opportunity. The eagle stands on a platform and faces the sea, offering a grand view of the waterfront.

Checking in at the iconic Eagle Square in Langkawi
Langkawi, a northern seaside town in Malaysia, means 'reddish-brown eagle' in ancient Malay, and now a giant eagle square has been built by the seaside of Langkawi. The square features the new landmark of Langkawi - the Eagle Tower, which has become a must-visit spot for those traveling to Langkawi.
What to see: Eagles are indeed one of the common wild animals on Langkawi Island, especially in the Langkawi National Geopark where flocks of eagles can be seen soaring in the sky. This eagle statue is super realistic; from a distance, a reddish-brown giant eagle stands on a several meters high stone tower with its wings spread, as if it's about to rush into the clouds the next second. The eagle's fierce and proud posture symbolizes the ever-thriving and prosperous future of Langkawi.
What to do: Around the square, there are tranquil lakes, beautiful fountains, and poetic bridges. This place is super photogenic, with blue and green everywhere - the flawless blue sky, the clear and cool sea water, the dense green tropical plants, plus the pure white mosque at the entrance... The blues, greens, and whites here are the purest colors bestowed by nature.
Admission: Free access.
Recommended spots: Standing under the wings of the giant eagle for a photo with it, and taking a panoramic shot from the sea-facing corridor are both great choices for photo spots.
