A Hidden Gem of Affordable French Cuisine in Central
I discovered a hidden French restaurant in Central, located in an unassuming building. Surprisingly, there's a high-quality French restaurant upstairs with reasonable prices. The restaurant operates as a small shop, which adds to its charm.
Baked French Snails $108
Seeing that every table ordered their Baked French Snails, we had to try them too. The restaurant thoughtfully provides special utensils for eating the snails, making it easy to get the meat out. It's best to eat the snails hot; they are incredibly tender and full of delicious garlic butter flavor, reminiscent of eating garlic butter bread.
Lobster Soup $92
The lobster soup is rich and aromatic, clearly made with quality lobster heads and shells, offering a deep lobster flavor in every sip. It's also great for dipping garlic toast.
Japanese Scallops with Lemon Juice and Extra Virgin Olive Oil Pasta $198
For the main course, we ordered the scallop pasta, featuring large, fresh Japanese scallops with a tender and sweet taste. The pasta is cooked al dente, and the lemon juice base adds a refreshing and appetizing touch.
Authentic French Duck Leg with Duck Fat Fried Potatoes $228
We also ordered the French duck leg, which is crispy and golden on the outside while the meat remains tender. The accompanying potatoes, fried in duck fat, are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, making them incredibly delicious.
Bread Pudding with Ice Cream $88
Of course, we couldn't miss dessert. The staff recommended today's special, the bread pudding, which did not disappoint. The hot and soft bread pudding, paired with cold chocolate ice cream, creates a delightful hot and cold sensation in the mouth.
