The museum showcases the cultural history and natural ecology of the South China Sea. It is a comprehensive museum that protects the cultural heritage of the South China Sea and promotes cultural exchanges among countries and regions along the Maritime Silk Road.

As of October 12, 2018, the museum has over 70,000 collections, including historical export artifacts, biological specimens from the South China Sea, historical artifacts from Hainan, and ship models from different dynasties. The museum tells the story of the South China Sea through exhibitions.
✅Must experience:
We visited several themed exhibition halls, including the South China Sea Cultural History Exhibition, the Huaguang Reef No. 1 Shipwreck Special Exhibition, and the "Deep Blue Treasure: Archaeological Achievements of the Northwest Slope of the South China Sea Shipwrecks No. 1 and No. 2 Special Exhibition." Notably, the "Deep Blue Treasure" exhibition hall opened for the first time on September 27. The artifacts in the exhibition hall had been submerged in the deep sea for over 500 years at a depth of 1,500 meters.
In the museum's flight cinema, we experienced "naked-eye 3D flight," immersing ourselves in the scenes of the Northwest Slope of the South China Sea Shipwrecks No. 1 and No. 2, South China Sea geography, underwater cultural heritage, marine biodiversity, and the Maritime Silk Road. We felt the cultural integration and trade prosperity behind the "Maritime Silk Road."

South China Sea Museum in Hainan, China.
🌳The South China Sea Museum is located in Tanmen Town, Qionghai City, Hainan Province, China. It is a comprehensive museum with the theme of displaying the human history and natural resources of the South China Sea and protecting the cultural heritage of the South China Sea.
🏣As soon as I entered the museum, I was shocked by its architectural style! The main building of the museum is composed of three parts, namely "Sea Language", "Sea Dream" and "Sea Law", which implies the long history and profoundness of marine civilization.
🌳There are many exhibition halls in the museum, each with a different theme. My favorite is the "Exploring the Sea and Searching for Treasures" exhibition hall, which displays a large number of South China Sea cultural relics and shipwreck relics, including ancient ceramics, jade, gold, silver, etc. These cultural relics were salvaged from the bottom of the South China Sea and are very precious.
🍭Another impressive exhibition hall is the "South China Sea Memory" exhibition hall, which displays the historical culture and folk customs of the South China Sea region, as well as many traditional fishing tools and daily necessities. I saw an old fisherman's cabin, and the furnishings and supplies inside were very old, as if I had traveled back to that ancient era.
💦In addition to the exhibition, the museum also has many interactive experience projects, such as simulated diving, virtual reality experience, etc. I experienced simulated diving and felt very exciting, as if I was really in the underwater world.
The South China Sea Museum is simply a treasure trove of marine culture, which has given me a deeper understanding and understanding of the South China Sea. Family, if you are interested in marine culture, you must come to the South China Sea Museum to take a look. I believe you will also have a lot of gains and feelings!

Hainan travel recommends a must-visit museum suitable for all ages
Hainan trip, located in Qionghai, I recommend everyone a national museum that you definitely don't want to miss, located near Tanmen fishing port. It is also the famous resting place of the 'Huaguang Reef No.1' shipwreck that slept under the sea for 800 years after salvage. The museum houses various documents and real objects that tell and introduce the historical changes and cultural development of the South China Sea, and it is also a city landmark suitable for all ages when traveling to Qionghai.
Today's recommendation: China (Hainan) South China Sea Museum
Admission: Free (advance reservation required)
Parking: Free parking with charging stations available
Special recommendation: Every 15 minutes in Hall No. 3, there is a sound and light projection show that tells the history and salvage process of the Huaguang Reef No.1.

South China Sea (Hainan) Museum
The South China Sea (Hainan) Museum, located next to the millennium-old Tanmen fishing port in Qionghai, is a national first-class museum and a national 4A-level tourist attraction.
The museum covers a vast area and is filled with a dazzling array of exhibits, featuring a wide variety; it reflects the cultural history of the South China Sea, the ecological environment, the development of Chinese navigation technology, and the maritime Silk Road, among others. The physical exhibits and 'ironclad evidence' demonstrate that the South China Sea is the inherent territory of the Chinese nation!
