Feeling the French Riviera vibes in Nice is like stepping into a vibrant painting. Here's a sneak peek into the city's most captivating attractions!
🏰 Old Nice (Vieille Ville)
Stroll through the maze-like alleys of Old Nice, where the pastel-hued buildings whisper tales from the 18th century. Baroque churches and Italian-style edifices line the streets, inviting you to treasure hunt in quaint shops. Don't miss the bustling Cours Saleya market, a sensory overload with its vivid fruits, sweets, and flowers. And when it's time to rest, grab a seat at an open-air café to savor the local flavors. Old Nice is a true gem, offering a slice of French culture with every step. 🍦🛍️
🌊 Promenade Des Anglais
Built by English expats in 1830, this 5km promenade is a postcard-perfect spot. Flanked by art galleries, shops, and luxury hotels, it offers breathtaking views of the azure sea. Whether you're cruising on a skateboard or cycling, the Promenade is alive with the spirit of the Mediterranean. Come evening, the bars come to life, making it a hotspot for nightlife lovers. Just make sure to enjoy a sunset lounge on the beach for the ultimate relaxation. 🌅🚴
🌴 Baie des Anges (Bay of Angels)
Named for its angelic shape, Baie des Anges is a pebbly paradise where you can lounge luxuriously under the sun. The soothing sound of waves caressing the stones is the perfect soundtrack for a summer day. For the best view, climb up to the castle and gaze down upon this majestic bay. The gradient blue waters against the white foamy waves are nothing short of perfection. 🏖️👼
🏞️ Castle Hill (Colline du Château)
Take a leisurely half-hour walk up Castle Hill and be rewarded with panoramic views that'll take your breath away. Although the castle itself is long gone, the remnants of an ancient church and fortress add to the allure. It's an ideal spot for family picnics, and the vista of Old Nice and the port is a photographer's dream. Don't leave without capturing the elegance of the Bay of Angels from this vantage point. 📸🍃

Castle Hill of Nice is a historic landmark and natural oasis in the heart of Nice.
It's an easy walk up the hill, 15 minutes or so. From the top, you can catch panoramic views of the city's coastline, vibrant streets and picturesque rooftops. There is also remnants of an ancient castle at the top that you can explore, lush gardens and man made waterfalls.

Nice, the most beautiful Bay of Angels.
The most beautiful place in Nice is Angel Bay, and the best place to admire Angel Bay is Castle Hill. From the top, you can have a panoramic view of the beautiful scenery of Angel Bay. Of course, Castle Hill itself is also worth a visit. Castle Hill was established as a trading port by the Greeks thousands of years ago, which led to the establishment of Nice. Later, it was occupied by the Roman Empire and a magnificent military fortress was built, hence the name Castle Hill. Departing from the hotel in the morning, follow the beautiful Angel Bay to the east, and Castle Hill is located at the end of the famous Promenade des Anglais. The entrance to the mountain is actually a hotel, and you can climb up the stairs of the hotel building and follow the slightly steep mountain road to reach the top, or you can take the elevator directly to the top. The elevator is highly recommended. In the expensive South of France, this elevator is actually free. Except for a slight wait during peak hours, it is definitely the preferred way to climb the mountain. When you reach the top of the mountain, the original castle has been demolished, and only a few ruins of the fortress remain. The corridors, bathrooms, and churches of the Roman castle tell people about its past glory. The mountaintop has been designated as a park, with trees and a waterfall at the highest point. Most tourists gather at two observation decks. The western observation deck overlooks the entire old town of Nice and the azure Angel Bay. It is recommended to climb Castle Hill in the morning when the crescent-shaped Angel Bay extends to the horizon, and the sea emits a charming deep blue color in the light. This is the most beautiful Cote d'Azur. The eastern observation platform overlooks the entire Port Lympia, and the harbor is full of luxury yachts. The distant red lighthouse guides the yachts in and out of the harbor safely.

Castle Hill

Castle Hill in Nice dominates the city and divides the seaside part of Nice into two parts, the eastern part with the port and the western part with the old town of Nice.
Going up the hill, you can either take the 300 steps from the old town or take the Castle Hill Elevator ( Ascensur ) is free, bringing you almost to the top.
Once on top you can discover several hidden gems as well as cafes, gift shops, amazing views and children's favorite playgrounds.
You can explore what is left of the Chateau, see the ruins of an ancient Cathedral and enjoy Le Park du Chateau on the hill.
The 92 meters high hill offers views from all sides, and tourists take the most recognizable photos of Nice from here.

Beautiful waterfall in Nice 🇫🇷

This place is an absolute must. It's a lot of climbing but definitely worth the climb and the sweat.
The waterfall is located in a landscape garden surrounding the 11th century citadel. An artificial waterfall with a garden was created in the first half Nineteenth century on the initiative of Karl Felix of the Savoy.
Once you are here you will be able to gaze at the view which covers the city of Nice. Here you will be able to see the old city centre, Hotel Le Negresco and even the airport in the far.
On the other side, you will also be able to see the Marina (Port Lympia) with all the yachts lined up waiting to set sail on their next voyage.

The view from Castle Hill, Nice
#celebratewithtrip #france #nice
As the name suggests there will be some climbing involved. Not to worry for those with low fitness levels, it’s not as intense as you might think. At the end of the hike you’ll be rewarded with an amazing view of the city and sea.
We’ve noticed also some little tourist train buses which go up. They could also be a viable option if you don’t feel like climbing.
We recommend you approach the hill from the North as it has less of a steep climb. The climb from the beach is done through some stairs which can be steep for some.
On the way up you will also be able to see some of the ruins from the old citadel although only the foundations. Below the view point you will also see an artificial waterfall. A good spot to take photos for sure

Castle Hill, just on the hill behind the morning city of Nice Old Town, is a must-see place on a clear day. The Peak Park enjoys a 360° view of the dead end, 10 am - noon 2 I think it is the best time to take a photo. At this time, the sea of Angel Bay is restored to the most beautiful azure by the angle of the sun. This scene is simply a camera memory card killer.
