During my summer vacation, I visited the Bergen Maritime Museum in Bergen, Norway, and it was a real treat. Located right by the harbor, the museum offers a comprehensive look at Norway's rich maritime history. The entrance fee was about 120 NOK, which was a great deal for the amount of fascinating exhibits on display.
The museum features a diverse range of artifacts, from model ships to maritime paintings, and offers detailed exhibits on Norway's seafaring past. One of the highlights was seeing the collection of historical ship models and learning about the country's role in exploration and trade. The museum's location near the waterfront adds to the experience, providing beautiful views of the harbor.
Nearby, you can explore the historic Bryggen Wharf with its colorful wooden buildings, or take a stroll through the nearby parks. The combination of maritime history and scenic surroundings makes this museum a must-visit.
Overall, the Bergen Maritime Museum is perfect for anyone interested in Norway’s seafaring heritage and provides a great complement to exploring the city.
