Ultimate Guide to Barcelona, Spain 🇪🇸
Barcelona is the perfect summer destination! Here is an exhaustive list of everything you should see and do on your trip. Save this guide for your next visit to Spain! 🇪🇸
📍 Sagrada Familia: designed by famous Catalan architect Antonia Gaudí, this huge church is still under construction and is probably the most famous landmark in Barcelona.
📍 Park Guell: Another famous work by Gaudi, situated at the top of a hill. From the terrace at the top there are wonderful views of the city all the way down to the beach.
📍 Gaudi buildings: the previous two are the most famous, but there are many more Gaudi buildings to find in the city. Find the intricate details and unique architecture!
📍 Barceloneta beach: escape the hustle and bustle of the big city and head to the fishing district to relax on the beach. Many people also come here to play sports and to eat seafood.
📍 Arc de Triomf: this was originally built as the entrance gate for the 1888 World Fair and now stands as an iconic landmark of the city. Take photos with the beautiful avenue behind.
📍 Barcelona Cathedral: see the gothic style architecture and buy a ticket to access the roof for 360 degree views of the Gothic Quarter.
📍 National Museum of Art: located at the end of a picturesque avenue with fountains outside. If you don’t want to see the art, pay just €2 to access the rooftop viewing deck!
📍 Museum of Contemporary Art: this modern art gallery is a pleasant change of scenery compared to everything else that is so historic in the city.

I chose to go Barcelona Spain after a business trip as I wanna visit Camp Nou, the home of FC Barcelona. My ex colleague went along with me on this trip. Not only we visited Camp Nou, we also went to Park Guell, La Sagrada Familia, Barceloneta Beach, Montserrat and many more. Some of the highlights were the spectacular mountains at Montserrat, the beautiful beach at Barceloneta Beach and of course touring the stadium of Barcelona.

Picnic at Barceloneta Beach 🏖
Beach in downtown Barcelona 🌊
Heaven for hot girls and hot boys..🤍
I didn't know swimming was allowed so I didn't bring a swimsuit and I regretted it so muchㅠㅠㅋㅋㅋ
Instead, I rented a parasol and had a beach picnic 🤍!
The old men walk around the beach
selling parasols, mats, beers, etc.
You can return them after using them all!
I bought Barcelona Fanta which has more oranges and drank it 🍊

NEXT STATION - Barcelona, Spain!
Sunny day in a hot spot - Barca was meeting us so comfy and calm and we was so suprised! Actually, I have never been in Spain, it was a real SHOCK! The water on Barceloneta Beach was so warm and clean, and locals were so polite and mannered! For small memory about this city I have got a knee braclet with the emblem of Barca and also visited the most famous building La Sagrada Famillia😍😍👍 It looked perfect to me! In our hostel we had a small kitchen where we tried to make a pasta in Spain style, but j think we failed😂👍 Also, Gothic quater is really so dark and old😱😱 feels like in the night to go there would be super scary...

Key Point: If the weather is nice, enjoy a leisurely cup of coffee at Starbucks in Barcelona. I spent some time sitting at the outdoor seating and drinking a latte. The atmosphere, combined with the lively streetscape unique to Barcelona under the warm sunlight, was attractive in itself. The outdoor seating is a great place to feel the atmosphere of a trip with locals and tourists.

Key Point: Barceloneta Beach is one of the most famous beaches in Barcelona, and its wide, clean sandy beach is impressive. The palm trees and promenade along the beach are in harmony, making it a great place to take a walk. On warm sunny days, many people enjoy swimming or sunbathing, and you can also experience various water sports. In particular, there are many restaurants and cafes around where you can enjoy seafood dishes and tapas, so you can enjoy a leisurely meal while taking in the ocean view.

Key Points: Tapa Tapa Xiringuito tapas restaurant is located near the beach, so the great advantage is that you can enjoy a wonderful beach view while eating. There are indoor and outdoor terraces, so you can enjoy different atmospheres depending on the weather. A variety of tapas menus are provided, and the food cooked with fresh ingredients is rich in flavor and sincerity. The drink menu is also diverse, so it was good to have it together. It is right in front of the beach, so I was able to have a delicious and pleasant meal after swimming.

🧡The Beautiful and Artistic Barceloneta Beach💙❤️
🇪🇸 Buzzing Barcelona 🇪🇸
We decided to soak up the vibrant atmosphere at Barceloneta Beach. Even though the temperature was a bit chilly, the sun shone brightly, casting a warm glow over the sandy shores. It turned out to be a delightful day for a beach outing despite the brisk air! ☀️🌊🏖️
As we strolled along the coastline, we were greeted by a lively scene. Beachgoers were out in full force, some wrapped in colorful towels, others donning swimsuits, ready to dive into the cool Mediterranean waters. Surfers were catching waves, their silhouettes cutting through the glistening sea. It was fascinating to watch their skillful maneuvers as they rode the swells, showcasing a blend of athleticism and artistry.
Families dotted the beach, children laughing as they built sandcastles, their creativity on full display. The beach had a palpable energy, filled with the sounds of splashing water, cheerful chatter, and the occasional burst of music from nearby beach bars. It felt like a microcosm of Barcelona's vibrant culture—diverse and full of life.
One of the highlights was encountering various art displays scattered along the promenade. Local artists showcased their talents, with colorful murals and sculptures that added a creative flair to the beach scene. These artworks not only beautified the area but also told stories of the city’s rich history and dynamic spirit.
In the distance, the iconic W Hotel stood majestically, its sail-like structure a striking contrast against the azure sky. This architectural marvel has become a symbol of modern Barcelona, representing the city's blend of tradition and contemporary innovation. It was a perfect backdrop for our beach day, reminding us of the unique charm of this coastal city.
As the sun began to set, casting a golden hue over the beach, we reflected on our day. Barceloneta Beach, with its mix of relaxation and energy, truly encapsulates the essence of Barcelona—where every moment is infused with warmth, creativity, and a hint of adventure.

L’Estel Ferit: A Perfect Blend of Leisure and Art
L’Estel Ferit (The Wounded Star) is one of Barcelona’s most iconic beach sculptures, located on Barceloneta Beach. Created by Rebecca Horn in 1992, this quirky, stacked cube structure reflects the city’s maritime past and the transformation of the beach area. With its rusty, leaning blocks, it symbolizes the old, weathered beach shacks that once stood on the shore.
The sculpture perfectly encapsulates Barcelona’s blend of leisure and art, offering a modern, cultural touch to the lively beach environment. L’Estel Ferit has become a beloved landmark for locals and tourists alike, standing as a reminder of the city’s artistic spirit while enjoying the vibrant coastal atmosphere.

This beach is very easy to reach, normally i will go there by metro and with a little walking from the line 4 metro station.
This man made beach where people come to pose, be seen, exercise, swim, sunbathe, eat, drink and relaxing ..and generally you can get away from city life even though it's just 15-20 minutes on a bus or tram to be back in the thick of central Barcelona.

Barceloneta Beach, Barcelona 🇪🇸☀️🌊⛱️
#timetotravel
We visited the Barceloneta Beach the morning on our last day in Barcelona, it was such a shame that we did not have time to fully enjoy the beach (swim and tan). But it’s okay, next time I will be back.
My friends and I were walking from one end of the beach to the other and it was then we realised the beach is massive!!! This is amazing so that visitors are more spaced out and the beach is less cramped with visitors.
When we reached the end of the beach, we entered a restaurant called Opium Barcelona (which is also a disco club at night). We ordered a seafood paella and it was MASSIVE (see pic 5 of my friend’s head for comparison), we definitely did not expect the portion to be so big hahahhaa. Considering the portion, the restaurant is reasonably priced.

Thinking that this is an artificial beach made by mankind it is unbelievable. But still is a great place for every visitor who comes to Barcelona. A few min. from the center of Barcelona, you can get here, relax and enjoy the sun and the beach that the "Barceloneta Beach" has to offer.

Barceloneta is not the name of a tower. It is a triangular area that protrudes to the sea in the southeast of the city of Barcelona and belongs to the coastal area (La Ribera). It is a favorite leisure beach for local residents. On weekdays, you can enjoy the sun on the beach and fishing in the summer. In the evening, there will be a market where you can sell gadgets, which is very lively. If you are tired, you can also go to the nearby Passeig Joan de Borbo, where there are many seafood restaurants, fresh and clean, suitable for enjoying the Mediterranean scenery.
