Bank Negara Malaysia Museum and Art Gallery
#myhiddengems
Very well maintained and excellently curated art and bank museum. There are multiple floors, each with their own distinct displays of batik, ancient currency, modern currency, bank history, economics, and many fun facts. It is definitely a great place to learn about how money - something we use everyday - works. I recommend all students, families and friends to come pay a visit, as it will expand your knowledge greatly.

Educational Activity at BNM, KL
#thingstodo #awesomepic #vianasjourney
Visiting Bank Negara Malaysia Museum and Arts gallery is one of educational activity you can add to your list during this school holiday especially with many young children. There were no entrance fee, there’s locker for you to store your items as they didn’t allowed bags into the museum. Over here you can learn how and process the money is made, what material is use, how to identify if your money is legit and plenty other useful information. Not that it’s only boring reading material but they also makes the exhibition creative. For example, there’s games and quizzes you may participate. Go and experience it yourself, I’m sure you’ll find it fun and educating.

📍Bank Negara Museum and Art Gallery (Malaysia)
nearest public transport is KTM Bank Negara. if you are driving, you can park at the street, outside the building. there is also free indoor parking but it is a bit complicated to find the way there.
bags and water is not allowed. locker is available (RM10 safety deposit required), however they prioritize foreign tourists or people who came with public transport because locker is limited.

💰 History of Malaysian Currency - Ringgit
#malaysiatrip
A day trip to Malaysian currency museum is eye opening! Never thought that there are so much of histories behind our Malaysian Ringgit!
I only remember my teacher used to told us Malaya once trade with Banana leaf as mode of currency. The evolution of that into today’s look had gone through many political changes in between.
Suggest to bring your kids here as there are a couple interactive areas meant for kids!
