This museum is located just opposits side of The University of Cordilleras, in Sunshine Park!
I never really had the motivation to go around baguio during my university days except for the days when you can’t say NO!🫣🤪 Making up to the lost years w my daughter, we went to this museum as part of her YES Day, yes she has to earn it 🥹.
It was a memorable day, nonetheless. The building as a stone cold brick in the outside and some part of the pillars but wooden parts everywhere which i love. Not much to see inside but all of what you see are the things we cherish most. Our Identity!

🇵🇭 Fully Inspired Baguio Museum 🇵🇭
The 🇵🇭 Baguio Museum is an ideal stop to fish out educational information about the culture and tradition of people from Benguet, Mountain Province, Kalinga, Abra, Apayao and Kalinga. The museum has a section for each province displaying relics, traditional clothing, other artifacts and dioramas detailing local way of life and other customs and traditions.
We paid the minimal entrance fee and was let to roam the four 4️⃣ floors of the museum by ourselves. 🏺 jars ,utensils, musical 🎵 instruments, deities, jewelries , apparels, and fabrics are encased on a couple of glass panels. We also witnessed excellent models made from wood 🪵 and thatch of different huts 🛖 used by tribes during the olden days. Shocked to know that one of the burial jars and carved wooden coffins ⚰️ contains the real mummy that the museum curator specifically told us not to photograph and i agreed out of respect. On another side of the floor, two detailed dioramas of various Cordilleran and Ifugao scenes are displayed. One of these is Kalinga’s Bodong, an agreement ceremony between the tribes of the region for peaceful coexistence. I love how detailed and well-made the sets are. Really fine quality, worthy of an upscale museum.
I would definitely recommend this place to Baguio die-hards.For the casual Baguio tourists, the museum would be a good introduction to the city.
