We landed in Cebu and headed down to Moalboal and Panglao. When you're there, highly recommend that you go for Kawasan Falls Canyoneering!!! It's similar to river tracing; for you safety, remember to get your own water shoes and long swimsuit to protect against abrasions. They'd come in handy when you go snorkelling as well!

Affordable place to stay in Moalboal!

#hotelstaycation There are plenty of rooms in this boutique hotel. Cranes Cottages is located in Tuble Moalboal. It is like in between Pangsama beach and Basdaku "White" beach. It is nearer to White beach. The swimming pool and gym are separated from where the accommodations are. It is just across from the place where you stay. Once you checked-in, you'll be informed about it and also you can request for breakfast which I would say they serve a lot. The rooms are simple but convenient enough. It has a fridge, TV, kettle and of course AC. The swimming pool seems always empty. We have stayed in this place twice and it's always like no one is swimming except us. You can use google map for navigation or you can ask the tricycle driver to drop you off at Betsy's Restaurant. Ambiance/Facilities - The staff is very accommodating and they serve so quickly. Every time we go to Panagsama we always dine at this place since they have happy hour and you can get buy 1 take 1 drinks. And we love Margarita so might as well take the chance. Moalboal 🇵🇭

Don’t forget to add moalboal to your list of must visit places in the Philippines! The area feels like a surf village (minus the surf) with a tight community and great streets for food and leisure activities. There are plenty of shops hiring snorkels and masks and the sardine run is just outside, which cost around 200 pesos. The area which I am standing at had turtles swimming in the area, which was amazing to see! The sardine run, which I’d recommend scuba diving to see, is also located here. You can’t really snorkel to it as the fish are too deep, unless you know how to deep dive. #beachlife #philippines #scubadiving #summervacation

Is Moalboal worth the excessively high price

If you are traveling the Philippines (Cebu) you will find that there is this this small, charming seaside town of Moalboal. I enjoyed my time there, but, in actuality it was (comparatively speaking to other Cebu towns and southeast Asia in general) EXTREMELY over priced…. I can travel south east Asia for as little as $5.00 a day.. all my meals, cigarettes, a drink or two and still have change at the end of the day. Not a chance here in Moalboal… $3 coffee’s, $6 to $8 for simple meals $6 round-trip Tuk-Tuk rides!!! Imagine that being in Asia having to spend this type of money…..and other extremely overpriced necessities await you in this town. Chief Mau hostel - Moalboal 🇵🇭

If you are looking for a lively, secluded, yet friendly stay in the beach area of the Philippines, look no further! This cute, warm and welcoming hostel next to Panagsama beach is perfect for a long or short vacation. I stayed here with my friend for two nights in a private room with an ensuite bathroom, the price is around £25 per person per night. If you would like something cheaper, there is the option to share a mixed dormitory, however, there are no age limits to the dorm rooms and it is mixed gender rooms. The hotel is located on the street, that you have to pay, 25 pesos each to enter, and the street has plenty of international cuisine options from amazing breakfasts and lunches. There are also plenty of Dave 🙈 sites to go diving and the sardine run is right on the doorstep! The hotel is currently under some refurbishment, with paint and construction around but this did not impact our stay at all! Paradise: Sea Turtle Hotel Moalboal

This hotel one can see has loads to offer. The staff are gems, the view is awesome and the food are really worth the visit. However, there are some parts that needs attention. I wanted to write a review telling people to not visit right after we arrived, but after speaking to the staff, seeing the view this morning and reading some of the posts informing me about why they are not up to the standard this hotel I changed my mind. This hotel has the potential to be a haven, with offers of snorkeling, hanging under the trees and staff that helps with cab booking, food orders and going the extra mile. Unlike my other snorkelling trips, snorkelling near Psecador Island was really fantastic and fun. It was an eye-opening trip where we swam near the pool of sardines and fishes and followed the big turtle it was really fun and highly recommended!

We took 4 hrs bus ride from Cebu city to reach the Moalboal another world and that is Quo Vadis Diving Centre. If you are looking for the best diving experience, you will not go wrong with Quo Vadis. The best wall dive and the best dive master, everyone is so well taken care of. Although the phone reception is not well received and we had limited wifi access but this issue never hinder us from loving Quo Vadis. Sharing some of the photos I had while snorkeling with my friends in Moalboal, Cebu. I was going through so much and needed a break from the rat race. I am just so glad, I chose the sea adventure. There is something about the ocean that makes you always wonder. Honestly, some things are just too beautiful to be captured by artificial lenses. I can’t express in words the beauty of Moalboal especially the coral reefs, the sea turtles and so many wonderful sea creatures.Truly, it’s a worthwhile experience. My Pescadores Seaview Suite Experience

Getting There - I was really afraid at first because I have no idea of the road's terrain going to Moalboal. Before deciding to proceed, luckily, we found a cellphone number at Facebook and the agent told us that the road is not that steep which I am afraid of. We used Google Maps as reference. From Lapu-Lapu, we traversed the 1st Bridge to Mandaue, then to Cebu south road. Upon reaching Carcar, at the round about, we turned right to Carcar-Barili road and just followed the Google Maps. In all my travels in Cebu, this road is the easiest to drive at. It took us more than 3 hours to reach Moalboal. Attractions - Of course, the beach is the main attraction which can be seen from the pool, as well as the Pescadores Island, which at the time of our visit is not yet available for visit due to the damage brought by the Super Typhoon Odette last December 2021. Accordingly, the island is still on its rehabilitation stage. Other attractions include the Moalboal Park which is beside the ocean and near the market. Hotels - There are various hotels and resorts beside the area which you can choose. We preferred PSS because they are open to accepting pets. We do have 3 small dogs with us--a cavoodle, a shihpoo and a combination of both. Food & Restaurants - There are restaurants, carinderias, and barbecue grills nearby which offers variety of food. There are also coffee and milk tea shops at the main road.
