Beach hotel in Mirissa
One World Mirissa hotel is a boutique hotel situated on the beach front in the southern resort of Mirissa. The hotel is very nice with big rooms and air conditioning. The infinity pool overlooks onto the beach and ocean and is a great place to relax. There is also a restaurant in the hotel too.
In the surrounding area, there are lots of bars, restaurants and souvenir shops which are all within walking distance and the journey from Colombo airport is about 1.5 hour drive by taxi. It’s also a great hotel to base yourself in for a day trip to the nearby city of Galle. You can see the beach from the pool as it is in walking distance.
The spacious bedrooms have balconies, free WiFi and refrigerators as well as a big space to work.

I have finally arrived at the other side of the Anywhere Door - Mirissa, Sri Lanka
🏝 Mirissa is a warm, tranquil, and comfortable beautiful harbor in Sri Lanka, known as the 'teardrop of the Indian Ocean'.
☑️Recommended activities:
🔹 Mirissa Beach retains its natural charm, quiet and leisurely, very suitable for daydreaming and a relaxing vacation.
🔹 Mirissa is also a surfing hotspot in Sri Lanka, with waves that are perfect for beautiful turns, and the morning is the best time.
🔹 Sri Lanka is one of the world's great whale-watching spots, where you can see large groups of dense and elegant blue whales approaching the coast. The best time for whale watching in Mirissa is from November to April, and it usually takes 3-5 hours, with an average duration of 4 hours.
🌟Special highlights: There is a unique Sri Lankan fishing method here called 'stilt fishing'. Fishermen sit on wooden poles erected in the sea, as if they are fishing on stilts, calm and composed.
🚙Transportation: It costs about seventy bucks to take a taxi from Galle to Mirissa, and there is also a direct bus, which takes about an hour. It costs more than two hundred bucks to take a taxi from Mirissa to Yala, which takes two and a half hours.
📸Photography tips: Stilt fishermen can only be seen in the morning, and the time of sunrise is very photogenic.

🐠 February 6th Strolling around Kandy Lake + Temple of the Tooth + Royal Botanical Gardens
Visited the Temple of the Tooth in the morning, where removing shoes was required. There was a shoe storage service available for a fee.
In the afternoon, took a tuk-tuk to the Royal Botanical Gardens, which felt very much like being in the South China Botanical Garden.
The schedule for the following days was quite tight, as each attraction was far from the next, resulting in long travel times on the road.
🐬 February 7th Took a train to the Nuwara Eliya tea plantations, visited DAMRO TEA.
First-class tickets were impossible to get, even when trying to buy them a day in advance. So there were only second and third-class seats available, which, aside from the price, seemed no different. Seats were on a first-come, first-served basis, just like on a bus, very crowded.
After leaving the train station, took a taxi to the hotel in the tea plantation. The scenery along the way was beautiful, with lots of greenery, and the temperature was also a few degrees cooler than in Kandy. The driver offered to take us to the tea plantation and even stopped at a post office to take pictures for us, where we also wrote postcards.
After returning from the tea plantation, we walked to a nearby lake and enjoyed the beautiful scenery before sunset. By the time we returned to the hotel and came back out for a walk, it had already gotten dark.
A walk around the lake and then back to the hotel.
We didn't visit Horton Plains here, which was a bit of a regret;
The guesthouse we stayed at had a great environment, with a suite that included 2 rooms and a kitchen for cooking. The owner mentioned that Chinese people had stayed here before and would cook their meals. The owner's family was very friendly.
🐟 February 8th Took the tea plantation train, then a taxi to Mirissa Beach
We got up early in the morning to take a walk nearby because the scenery was beautiful. Then we checked out and took the train from Nuwara Eliya to Ella, just to experience the tea plantation train. It was indeed inconvenient to move around with 2 suitcases.
At Ella train station, we discussed taxi fares to Mirissa Beach and happened to meet a driver who was returning empty to Mirissa, so he agreed to our price. The journey of over 3 hours was hot and bumpy, but we finally arrived at Mirissa. The driver stopped at a waterfall for us to take pictures. We checked into the hotel, which was a bit run-down. After dropping off our luggage, we went to the beach for a walk and climbed a small rock to watch the sunset.
In the evening, we casually ate at a roadside shop because we were exhausted from the entire journey.
🐳 February 9th Galle Old Town
In the morning, we strolled along Mirissa Beach and had breakfast by the sea, enjoying the leisurely view. Then we checked out of the hotel and looked up the bus route on Google Maps. After asking locals where the bus station was, we took a bus to Galle Old Town. The bus fare was very cheap, 162 rupees per person (about ¥3.8).
After getting off the bus, we took a tuk-tuk to the old town, where we found that most drivers were unwilling to go inside. Those willing to go demanded 500 rupees.
We arrived at the hotel early and had to wait for a room, so we went to find lunch and then explored the old town.

Sri Lankan beach bar
Nissan Hotel bar is a lovely bar and restaurant on the beach in Mirissa, Sri Lanka. The beach bar is very popular and has a wide range of different foods on the including Sri Lankand dishes and other types of cuisines too.

There is a lot of shade available in the restaurant and the staff are very attentive. There is also free wifi and they play great music throughout the day too. The most beautiful beach! Also so good for swimming and surfing! It was clean and the atmosphere was fantastic. We truly loved it. We saw the most amazing sunset from there too, so do not leave until it gets dark because it's worth it. Plenty of bars and hammocks and options too for everyone around. Funny enough there is not an specific entrance, so you have to navigate and enter by the hotels or restaurants mostly, but otherwise great.

Coconut Tree Hill - Mirissa
Getting to it is a little bit not clear, and going up and down, you have to be careful, a little steep slope, but once you reach the hill, you will change your mind quickly, the place is beautiful and the air is calm, it comes from all directions, it deserves the visit honestly
A very scenic place in Sri Lanka. Unfortunately, they are trapped by IG enthusiasts whose Instagram account would not be complete without a photo from this place. But just take two steps to the side and the views will remain beautiful and worth immortality. Apart from the red hill, which is full of palm trees, next to it is a small bay with a beach and a bar. As in most places on the island, hygiene is a traditional matter 🤣🤣 but after a meal we were fine there. We recommend coconut shell shrimp. From this place you can go to the other scenic beaches that surfers love. I recommend going there for at least 2-3 hours, having a drink on the swing and enjoying the beautiful views.
A beautiful and quiet natural environment. And you can watch the sunset from the top of the mountain with the sea breeze and sea waves. The evening is as beautiful as heaven. If you go there in the morning and afternoon, you can watch turtles, coconut trees, and the blue sky full of clouds. You have to go there 🌞 🌅

Trip to Sri Lanka - Galle Fort
November 25, Merissa - Galle Fort,
It is said that Merissa is an excellent place to watch whales at sea, but like watching the aurora, it is a matter of luck. Perhaps we were unlucky, chasing whales all morning without even seeing a sea turtle.
After lunch, we set off for Galle Fort, checking into the Orchard House Galle guesthouse inside the fort around 3 pm. The location of the guesthouse is excellent, close to the city gate and the lighthouse.
Galle Fort is an ancient city where people still live today and is one of the world's cultural heritage sites. Sri Lanka was once a Dutch colony, and the Dutch built Galle Fort to rule Sri Lanka. The solid and sturdy old city walls are the iconic landscape of Galle Fort.
I am always irresistible to the old city. After putting down my luggage, I went out for a stroll. The fort is not large, and the most comfortable thing is to take a walk around the city wall of the fort. Because the fort and the old city are connected, you can wander aimlessly along the roads that lead in all directions in the old city. The not-so-wide streets are occasionally passed by bicycles and cars, giving the illusion of being in a European country. The old city, full of strong European style, is full of exquisite shops everywhere. Perhaps a coffee shop or a painting studio will stop you. The terrain of the entire old city is not flat, and the roads generally have some slopes. The buildings on both sides look new from a distance, but up close, you can see the mottled traces of time.
Walking along the old city, you can soon see the iconic building of Galle - the seaside lighthouse. The pure white lighthouse, the quiet and magnificent beauty, a casual shot is a postcard. Turning past the lighthouse is a large white mosque. There are several streets nearby where tourists shuttle back and forth. There are also the National Museum and the Maritime Museum. If you have time, you can visit them. Galle Clock Tower is another iconic building in the fort, located west of the main gate of Galle, built in 1883. This clock tower, which has a history of more than 400 years, is still in use today. It is said to still keep accurate time, which is also one of the must-visit places for tourists.
Galle Fort is even more charming at sunset. Many local young people, couples, and students gather here to play, chat, and make noise. I happened to meet a few handsome local guys, drumming, singing, and dancing. With the afterglow of the Indian Ocean sunset, the scene was too beautiful. This should be the most beautiful moment of the day in Galle Fort.

Embracing Life's Golden Moments: Lessons from Sri Lanka 🌞🌴
As I soak in the radiant glow of the sun, I've come to realize the importance of savoring every moment. This journey is a conscious effort to find significance in the seemingly insignificant, appreciating the crash of waves and the sensation of sand beneath my feet. The sunset's dance upon the water, transforming it into a tapestry of blue and gold, serves as a metaphor for life's beauty. In a year that's underscored the unpredictability of change, I've learned that it's not the change itself but our response that defines us. With a heart full of lessons, I choose to live fully and embrace every second. 🌊🌅

Mirissa, the most beautiful beach in Sri Lanka, has a pure blue ocean resources. Although the crescent-shaped bay is not large, it maintains the original natural charm. Without excessive commercialization, everything is the original beauty. Soft and delicate beach, coconut trees and sunny, not only suitable for swimming, surfing and diving, but also one of the best places for whale watching in Sri Lanka.

Traveling to Sri Lanka, if you don't want to go through the ancient architectural monuments of the cultural delta very hard, just want to go to the beach for a limited time in a limited few days, then you must go to the beaches of southern Sri Lanka, and the most famous of course is Two beaches in Mirissa and Unawatuna.
There is no over-exploitation, natural and pure. Although the beach is not big, the beach under the coconut trees is delicate and soft. The sea is dark blue and pure. It is not only suitable for swimming, diving and surfing. It is also a whale watching in Sri Lanka. Watching one of the best places! The sunset of
Mirissa is also the most beautiful. When the sun sets, many tourists hold the camera and wait on the beach. When the sun slowly falls into the earth, the golden glow reflects the entire beach. Leave a golden sunshine.

Whale Watching in the United States is the most popular tourist and entertainment project in Merisha, Sri Lanka. From November to April, you can participate in the whale watching experience in Mirissa.
The basic flow of whale watching is:
The hotel will book the whale watching trip of the earliest tomorrow morning through the hotel or travel agency. Almost every hotel here has such a service, but due to different rebates, each quotation is also Different.
The boat owner who whale watching in the early morning will usually send a tuk-tuk to the hotel to pick you up. At this time, the day is still not bright. Arrive at the dock to go through the boarding procedures (that is, the ticket)
find a boat. In a good position, the crew will give you a simple lunch box with sandwiches, etc. The next step is to go out to sea...
whales are generally not in the area close to the land, so its been a long time to sail out to see the more The aquatic animals that come out of the water will first see the dolphins in groups. After driving for less than an hour, they may meet the whales.
After seeing the whales, there are usually many whale watching boats that will catch the whales. Surrounded, we can usually see the water column or caudal fin of the whale.
General whale watching takes a whole morning, and whale watching generally keeps going until you can see the whale.
Reminiscence_Has_You.
After a short break at the hotel, we counted the time of the sunset and went to the beach. It takes about 10 minutes to walk and you can arrive.
Merissa is one of the three major beach resorts on the southern coast of Sri Lanka. The waters here are very clear and the beach is surrounded by coconut palms. When the wind blows, the leaves make a rustling sound, which is very wonderful. The reefs and rocky areas on both sides of the beach are ideal for snorkeling. If you like surfing, the waves at the western end of the bay are capricious and will bring you lots of fun and challenges.
The waves here are not small, but the feeling is very quiet. The color of the sunset in the United States and the United States is like an anime-like world of the second dimension.
We walked slowly along the beach to see people of all shapes and sizes. The sun has fallen, and the beautiful sunset glows red. The day is coming to an end. I dont feel sad, I feel that everything is on schedule, and its just right. There are many seafood restaurants on the beach
, the ingredients here are very fresh and the price is not expensive. But we actually ate too late for lunch, and we still couldn't eat dinner at this time. So I and the fat brother chose to go to the supermarket, in case they are hungry at night, they can have something to eat.

Who is in this beautiful glimpse, who is in this deep ocean of love. You should not be absent from the road trip in 2019. Sri Lanka is a tropical island country. It is known as the pearl of the Indian Ocean. It has rich natural and cultural heritage. It is not realistic for the Chinese to swim in Sri Lanka in just a few days or ten days. Domestic attractions have gone. How to understand its historical humanities and natural scenery in a short time? Come to Sri Lanka to spend your winter!
japaul.
Merisa is really a good place to watch whales, the owner can actually play a ticket, 100% see. In fact, the same is true. However, the wind and waves in the rainy season are very large, and the probability of seasickness is almost 100%. Especially the Chinese, on our boat, half of the Chinese spit, and the foreigner seems to have no influence. Of course, when choosing a sightseeing boat, choose a large one as much as possible, which will be slightly smoother. The general sightseeing boat is two-story, and the upper layer is easy to see whales, but the shaking is also large, and the lower layer is better.
When it comes to the sea for an hour, it roughly reaches the traditional whale gathering area. The experienced ship's old assembly waits for the best view of the field, searching four times and directing the ship to the whale. Whales are chasing fish, so experienced fishermen can guarantee 100% access to whales.
With the crew's shouting and command, everyone looked at him in the direction that the huge body emerged from the sea, flashing through and disappearing into the swaying waves. Its a pity that the camera hasnt come out yet, so Im gone. Soon theres a whale, shaking off the sea, and jumping out of the sea, leaving the most beautiful shadow between the waves. The natural beauty is vividly presented in front of the excited tourists.
Sasha.
The water in Mirissa is very blue. I must choose a sea view room. I have a house facing the sea and spring blossoms. I believe this poem must affect many people invisibly, because Haizi has said many peoples desires. .
Undoubtedly, I am one of them. The hotel I stayed at in Mirissa is the sea. This feeling is really wonderful. If you are lucky in the morning, you can see the sorghum fisherman fishing. It is said that this is a show scene that only pays to see. In the early morning, the sorghum fisherman is independent. He is still sticking to the fishing methods passed down from generation to generation. The ability to balance, to withstand the sea breeze, daylight, while paying close attention to the prey in the turbulent sea water is indeed not a simple job, and it is no wonder that it has become one of the iconic images of Sri Lanka today.
