A Mystical Spectacle: The Stunningly Beautiful Pink Lake
📍Pink Lake🦩
Located about 300-350 km north of Cancun, on the Yucatan Peninsula💓
Although it is called Pink Lake (Pink Lagoon), it is actually a salt flat, just like the Uyuni Salt Flats, and appears beautifully pink due to phytoplankton‼🥰
The deep blue sky, white clouds, and pink lake create a truly breathtaking view🥺🥺
Some people say it wasn't as pink as they expected, but for me, it was exactly as shown in the photos😳‼ The pink color is especially vivid in the afternoon during winter when the sun is high🦩
I've always wanted to visit this place, and I'm so glad I finally did. I highly recommend it to everyone🥰

Luxurious Boutique hotel in Merida ♥
#wecreate
Villa Mercedes Curio Collection is one of the latest and nicest hotels by Hilton in Merida, a recent adquisition and renovation had made this antique hotel to a new level.
From the pool in between antique buildings and gardens to the gorgeous wood covered bar, the relaxing lobby and the friendly staff, this has been one of my nicest places in Merida, fully recommend.
The spacious rooms and city views combined with the centrical location makes it just perfect for me.

Merida Cenotes / Mexico
Merida is located in the northwest of the state of Yucatán. This colonial city has all the urban amenities you’d expect from Yucatán capital city, yet still retain the quaint small-town charm and colonial buildings.
First things first, you might be wondering. What’s a Cenote?
A water-filled cave or sinkhole, a Cenote is a body of water formed by the gradual dissolving highly porous limestone causing a collapse of the underground rock.
Best Merida Cenotes. You might have guessed this, but by far the best way to visit all the best Cenotes is by a tour. Most of the Cenotes near Merida are found in rural part of Yucatán Peninsula, if you rent a car you can drive to each one yourself.

One of the seven wonders: Chichén Itzá.
Chichen Itza is one of the most important landmarks and tourist attractions of Yucatan. As this landmark is very far from the nearest city, you need to arrange private transportation to get there or buy a half day tour which is quite popular. This tour will arrange round trip transportation in comfortable buses. The temple is really well preserved and is a pleasure to see in person. Be aware of the number of people selling souvenirs, they are everywhere so you must be patient and constantly say no. This is an incredible experience for those who love history and culture.

When traveling in Mexico, my favorite city is Merida.
Mrida, the southeastern city of Mexico, the capital of Yucatan, with a population of 661,000 (2000), is an important cultural and tourist city of Mexico, and the famous attraction is the cathedral.
I have always loved buildings like the ancestral hall. Therefore, I spent most of my time traveling in the city in the visit and shooting of the church.
Especially when the night comes, there are local artists in front of the church to set the stage, perform flamenco dance and guitar performance, and you can integrate it without spending a penny. When you see the rise, you can also dance with the rhythm of music in the audience. That atmosphere is really good.
The city has numerous colonial buildings, including the 16th century cathedral. It is a tourist base to the surrounding ancient Mayan cities such as Chichen Itza, Dzibilchaltn, Uxmal and Kabh.
TSKN.
We came to a small, unique city called Isamar. This is not a popular destination. There is no introduction to this city on the Internet, but it is a place that makes me feel very comfortable. The reason why it is called Huangcheng is because every building in the city is bright yellow. It is 70 km from Merida and is a colonial style gem.
Once, it was used to worship the Mayan Supreme God, Izumna, and built more than a dozen pyramids. Later Spanish colonists occupied here and built a giant Franciscan monastery.
is rated as the world's nine color city. This is not a color palette that God has overturned, but a brush that is unique in the hands of the painter.

Merida travel guide.
Mérida, Mexico Business trip sharing. Merida is the capital of Yucatan, the birthplace of Mayan culture, and is full of Mayan civilization-themed souvenirs and clothing.
Merida itself is a small city and is said to be the safest city in Mexico.
There were literally police everywhere (Figure 5).
It was also my first time on a business trip to Latin America to wander around alone at 22:00 at night.
In the past two days, I only took a quick tour of the city.
We recommend the Gran Museo del Mundo Maya, a Mayan-themed museum in the urban area, where you can gain an in-depth understanding of Mayan culture.
Tickets are 150 pesos.
Tips: It is recommended to download Google Translate in advance. It will be faster to directly translate the image and read the introduction.
If you are traveling here, it is recommended to book a one-day tour.
(Around 1,000 pesos), nearby attractions include: Cenote,
Mayan civilization ruins Uxmal, Mayan pyramid Chichenitza.
Hotel Hacienda Merida
The Hacienda here is a special hotel (Pictures 8 and 9).
Very local style and nice environment.
It is within walking distance from the Grand Square and 3 kilometers from the Convention and Exhibition Center. The hotel does not have toothbrush and toothpaste, please bring your own.
Micaela Mar & Lena (Picture 1, Picture 2)
Ordered the Octopus and Shrimp Taco, both dishes were good.
The octopus is paired with sweet potatoes, which is sweet.
La Parrilla | Colonial (Picture 3)
The name of the dish ordered was Molcajete Yucatec. Molcajeje is a container used by locals to make sauce.
This dish contains grilled bananas, onions, grilled meat, avocado, radishes, and sausage.
The taste is average, the best thing is the grilled banana hahahaha.
Museum of Yucateca Gastronomy Museo (Figure 4)
A restaurant with a museum of Mayan food culture.
It seems that the Mayan people's cooking is average, and the meat is very poor.
After the meal, we visited the museum and bought local honey as a souvenir.

Viva La México that nobody talks about!
#summerdestinations 💞Reasons to Recommend: This summer we visited the Yucatán. First stop was Merída & this was a city with lots of character & very friendly people. We took a day trip to see the ruins and it was gorgeous swimming in the #cenotes! The cenotes are underground pools. It was a very interesting experience literally swimming underground. Also being in the city with the Mayan ruins was a completely different feeling while in #mexico. We also went to #playadelcarmen by local bus (ADO company - highly recommended the bus was comfortable and we were on time, also the waiting area was really nice) for some #resort action at El Beso/Ocean Riviera (Also booked on Trip) with a swim up room highly recommend upgrading your life and having a swim up room a pool right outside of your room is absolutely amazing it made for great wind downs before bed. Definitely try it. Highly recommend stepping outside of the normal Mexico City & Cancun bubble!

Cenote Xlacah 🇲🇽
#myhiddengems
During my summer vacation, I took a refreshing dip in Cenote Xlacah, and it was a fantastic experience! Located near the ancient ruins of Dzibilchaltún, the entrance fee was just 100 MXN, making it an affordable and must-visit spot. The cenote is a stunning natural pool surrounded by lush jungle, with crystal-clear waters that are perfect for swimming.
The cenote's serene atmosphere and the chance to cool off after exploring the nearby ruins made for a perfect day. The shaded areas around the cenote are great for relaxing, and there are some local vendors selling snacks and drinks.
Nearby, the Dzibilchaltún ruins offer an intriguing look at ancient Maya history and are definitely worth a visit. Overall, Cenote Xlacah is a beautiful and peaceful spot to unwind and enjoy nature. 🌿💧 #trip #CenoteXlacah #NaturalBeauty #MayaRuins #CoolingOff #TravelAdventure

Mayan World Museum of Mérida 🇲🇽
#myhiddengems
During my summer vacation, I visited the Mayan World Museum in Mérida, and it was a fascinating experience. Located in the heart of Mérida, the museum's entrance fee was 250 MXN, and it was definitely worth it for the depth of history and culture on display. The museum’s exhibits offer a comprehensive look at Maya civilization, featuring everything from ancient artifacts to detailed models of archaeological sites.
One standout was the impressive collection of Maya stelae and sculptures that provided a tangible connection to the past. The museum’s layout made it easy to explore, and the informative displays were both educational and engaging.
Nearby, the bustling Plaza Grande is perfect for a leisurely stroll or a bite to eat, and the historic Cathedral of Mérida is worth a visit as well. Overall, the Mayan World Museum is a must-see for anyone interested in Maya culture and history. 🌟🏛️ #trip #MayanWorldMuseum #MéridaMexico #CulturalJourney #AncientMaya #TravelDiaries

A Traveling Soul
Mexico is fun, just visit the attractions, and only be active during the day
To be honest, there are indeed few tourists in Mexico, and the main cathedral in the capital has almost no tourists, all are locals.
The Merida Cathedral, located in the center of the historical center, is a sight not to be missed while strolling through the city. It is not only very ornate, but its history dates back to the 1500s.
If you have reached the Merida Cathedral, you can easily head to the Grand Plaza (right outside). Now, the plaza itself is one of the busiest areas in the center of Merida, making it a great place for a walking exploration.
The Merida Maya World Museum has an admission fee (about 10 dollars) and is a center for displaying Mayan culture and history, which is worth a visit.

All about Mayan ruins
#fallingseason
Central America has many ruin sites. Tikal, in Guatemala, is an enormous national park and a UNESCO World Heritage Site with centuries of Mayan history and archeology covered in lush vegetation and rare tropical wildlife. Copán in Honduras dates back to the 5th century and boasts intricate stelae, tunnels, a hieroglyphic stairway, and lush tropical vegetation filled with monkeys, sloths, parrots, and macaws. Meanwhile, Xunantunich is one of Belize’s most impressive and easily accessible Maya sites known for its scenic location in the middle of the jungle. Last but not least, San Andrés archeological site in El Salvador is the largest pre-hispanic ruins site in the country and includes pyramids and ancient plazas. The intricate wall carvings, imposing pyramids, and crumbling columns should not be missed. Prices vary but expect to spend around $20 USD for admission

🇲🇽Merida is such a place to visit!🇲🇽
📍 The downtown area is full of charm, with its colors and beautiful historic architecture. We had the fortune of being, during a festival night and got to see traditional Mayan games, which was an incredibly special and captivating experience.
🍝Merida's food scene was also a delight; we enjoyed delicious Yucatecan cuisine at the local restaurants.
🌟🌟Overall, Merida exceeded our expectations with its rich culture, friendly locals, and memorable attractions. I can't wait to return and explore even more of this beautiful city!

#holidayvacation nice city with a lot of cultural/historrical attractions, North side is more modern with more contemporary museums and malls whereas South/Central is more crowded with narrow streets and small shops.
