Georgia, a country that makes people reluctant to leave, waiting for you to discover more surprises!
The snow-capped mountains of this visa-free country are so beautiful! The Caucasus Mountains are always worth it!
🏔️✨ Standing in the midst of Mount Kazbek, I opened the map and carefully discerned the directions. Just 14 kilometers away is Russia. Could this be the Great Caucasus Mountains that mark the boundary between Asia and Europe? As a former geography class representative, looking at the distant snow-capped mountains, the geographical knowledge about the Caucasus Mountains seemed to flood back into my mind.
🤦🏻♂️✨ It's as if I saw myself back in geography class, looking at our geography teacher who had long since gone bald, emphasizing over and over again that everything about the Great Caucasus Mountains was a key point for the exams, and that these knowledge points had to be remembered. I never imagined that after more than a decade, I would be standing on the very knowledge points I had firmly memorized.
🏞✨ 'Where is the boundary line of the Eurasian continent?' 'What is the difference in the snow line between the north and south slopes?' 'A brief analysis of the reasons for the numerous rivers in the central region of the Caucasus Mountains'—these knowledge points flashed through my mind, as if the present me was having a time-traveling dialogue with the student me.
🇬🇪✨ In fact, before coming to Georgia, I can say that I hardly did any planning. The visa-free policy and direct flights from home only informed me that Mount Kazbek was beautiful, but I never expected it to be the Great Caucasus Mountains. Standing at the foot of the snow-capped mountains, it seemed as if long-sealed memories were awakened.
📸✨ The solemn main peak of Mount Kazbek, covered with pure white snow, and the biting cold wind of the Caucasus, even in summer, feels icy cold. As long as it's a clear day, it's a great opportunity for 📷 photography. Standing on the alpine meadow, whether photographing the snow-capped mountains in front or the profound churches, it's all a beautiful scene.
📸✨ The majestic snow-capped mountains are imposing, and no matter how you 📷 photograph them, they are stunningly beautiful. But turning to look at the lazy herd of cows lying on the grassland, there's a different kind of beauty, one of peaceful times, which is truly intoxicating. The distant church, like a pearl, is set in this picturesque scenery, standing independently amidst the green forests.
🏔️✨ Standing on the pure summit of such high mountains, it feels as if all things have been cleansed of their superficiality, and I just want to sit quietly on the ground, spacing out, quietly enjoying the scent of snow-capped mountains and green grass. That feeling that everything is just right is indescribable in any language.

Day 6 (2) of 14-day independent travel in Georgia - Russia-Georgia Friendship Monument.
Continue along the Georgian Military Highway to visit the Russia-Georgia Friendship Monument, which is located at an altitude of 2384 meters in Gori.
The monument was built in 1983 to commemorate the 200-year friendship between Georgia and Russia. The inner wall of the arch is decorated with bright mosaic tile murals depicting the historical scenes of Georgia and Russia.
The monument is an excellent place to overlook the Caucasus Mountains. The day we arrived, the mountains were surrounded by mist, as if we were in a fairyland. It was beautiful.
Russia-Georgia Friendship Monument
My visit to the Russia-Georgia Friendship Monument was a special cultural experience amidst the mountains. The location offers stunning views of the valley and surrounding greenery. The monument itself is a circular structure adorned with mosaic artwork that tells the history of the relationship between the two countries. As I walked around the monument, I felt the beauty of the place and the message of cooperation and friendship. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing, giving me the opportunity to meditate and enjoy the breathtaking surrounding nature. This place combines natural beauty and history, making it an excellent destination for those seeking a mix of culture and scenery.
Georgia's autumn off-road trip to appreciate the beauty of nature. Depart from the capital Tbilisi and head north along the Military Highway to reach Kazbegi Mountain National Park.
🔆Georgia's autumn off-road trip to appreciate the beauty of nature
Depart from the capital Tbilisi and head north along the Military Highway to reach Kazbegi Mountain National Park.
Along the way, the Trinity Church on the top of the mountain stands quietly on the top of the mountain. The stone structure is full of historical heaviness, and you can immerse yourself in the long river of time inadvertently. Looking into the distance, there are couples walking in the mountains. The real travel is slow and happy, letting nature and the sacred witness the beautiful love.
🚗Take an off-road vehicle and bump along the cliff mountain road, you can go deep into the alpine meadows, and the forests, rivers and waterfalls are all in sight. Along the way, you can overlook the full view of Kazbegi Mountain Town. The houses in the town are scattered at the foot of the mountain, and you can see the curling smoke, as if you are in a paradise. As the altitude rises, you can appreciate the changes in natural landscapes such as valleys and forests. There are many hiking routes, and you will meet many backpackers from all over the world along the way, admiring their perseverance, because the road is really not easy to walk. If you have enough travel time, you can choose, it will bring unforgettable memories in life.
The highest peak of the Caucasus Mountains in Georgia.
Ananuri Castle is located on the hillside above the Aragvi River. The emerald lake and blue sky set off the elegant and beautiful castle, as if walking in a fairy tale 🏰✨
The Russian-Georgian Friendship Monument stands on the cliff of the Dariali Gorge. When watching the Russian-Georgian monument, colorful paragliders fly leisurely in the sky. You can also overlook the magnificent scenery of the gorge. 🏞️🪂🌈
Trinity Church is the church closest to God. It stands on the cliff, witnessing the history and vicissitudes of Georgia. The church is 2,170 meters above sea level and is a landmark in Georgia. The church is located in a place overlooking the panoramic view of Kazbegi. The entire village is under your feet. Opposite the church is the famous Kazbek Peak. Here, there are picturesque scenery, known as the back garden of God. It is one of the highest peaks in the Caucasus Mountains in Georgia. ⛪️🌄🏔️

Lonely Planet | Mount Kazbek
Finally checked off the Lonely Planet cover, the mountain monastery of Mount Kazbek. To be honest, the roads in the Caucasus Mountains are very winding, so be sure to bring motion sickness medicine in advance. I threw up many times along the way and almost couldn't take it anymore. The scenery is undeniably beautiful, but the wind on the mountain is very strong. I recommend bringing a windbreaker. Put it on at each scenic spot and take it off when you get back in the car because without the wind, it feels very hot.
Peak Serenity
Mount Kazbegi was everything I needed—a mix of awe-inspiring views and peaceful solitude. Even with the rainy weather, standing there surrounded by those majestic peaks was a soul-refreshing experience I’ll never forget. I wish I could have stayed longer. The mist-covered mountains added a mystical touch, making the landscape even more surreal. Every moment felt like a dream, with the world fading away and leaving just the beauty of nature. It’s the kind of place that stays with you, calling you back long after you’ve left.
