A Journey to the Millennium Porcelain Capital: The Unyielding Craftsmanship
Jingdezhen Imperial Kiln Museum, where the thousand-year-old kiln fire continues to burn. The intertwining and mending of reality and illusion bring forth the most perfect highlight of this journey to the millennium porcelain capital at this very moment! The artistic rhapsody of body and space is constantly shattered and reconstructed within the historical ceramic fragments, traversing the kiln path as if bridging the ancient and the contemporary, the traditional and the modern. Most of the collections in the museum are unique and unparalleled pieces. One can truly feel the unextinguished kiln fire and the unyielding craftsmanship, experiencing the highest charm of Jingdezhen, where the scenery is in the world and virtue is in the heart!

Jingdezhen Imperial Kiln Museum
This national museum consists of more than half a dozen vaults whose forms are based on the traditional imperial kilns of the Ming and Quin dynasties (located just a stone’s throw away!). Breaking the program into a series of smaller structures, the design interweaves indoor and outdoor spatial experiences. This fluidity is translated from the concept of a “borderless museum” — a curatorial strategy that harnesses information technology to contextualize the imperial kiln porcelain alongside collections from museums worldwide. The design reflects these aims by putting a contemporary yet timeless twist on the architectural language of extant local heritage.

📍JingDeZhen, Jiangxi
Jingdezhen is a very small city in Jiangxi province. This city is famous because it produces so many good quality ceramics. I went here with my school (field trip) for only 2 days 1 night. I got a chance to make my own plate (with clay). It was a fun experience for sure! I made a spongebob plate (i used to like spongebob a lot) but it turned out to be so ugly cause i wasn’t good in art.
The buildings are all ancient buildings, felt like i was in Chinese dynasty. so interesting and pretty at the same time.
the other thing that amazed me was the hotel. it was the fanciest hotel (i mean the decoration) i’ve ever been too. and come on! it’s in Jingdezhen, the city that i thought everything was just old buildings but i thought wrong.

Colorful Pottery Street | There is also Taoyi Street to come to Jingdezhen. There are many ceramic shops on Taoyi Street. The decoration style of each shop is different. It is a street of literature and art. There are also several specialty hotels and clothing stores in various ceramic shops. There are many tourists in Taoyi Street. They are generally not open during the day and will be more lively at night. It is recommended that you go to the Pottery Street for a stroll and feel the atmosphere of the art. There are many artists' works on Tao Yi Street, and everyone can look at their own preferences.

Jingdezhen 2-day itinerary.
🏨Accommodation: Taoyi Guanying Hotel
🚴Transportation: Rent an electric bike (convenient for getting around)
Day 1: Arrive in the afternoon → Check in → Dinner at Ouji Food Stall → Taoyang New Village Night Market
Day 2: Sanbao Village → Lunch at Sanbao Bieyuan → Make ceramics → Sculpture Porcelain Factory
🥘Food:
1. Highly recommend Ouji Food Stall: The best meal I had in Jingdezhen, unforgettable. The chicken feet were tender and fell off the bone, but it was so spicy I almost fainted. 😵
2. Sanbao Bieyuan: I wanted to eat at Xunwei Sanbao, but the line was too long, so I went here instead. The chicken broth tofu was very fresh, but the other dishes were just average.
3. Yiwanfen: Ordered takeout, a cold noodle dish that is a specialty of Jingdezhen, worth a try.
4. Fuzhou Nong Green Bean Cake, Fried Dough Sticks Wrapped in Glutinous Rice Cake
🖇️Taoyang New Village Night Market: Very popular 10 yuan for 3 bracelets, so many to choose from, lots of vendors, remember to shop around
🖇️Sanbao Village: If you have time, you can spend a whole day here, there are many unique shops and some great photo spots 📷
🖇️Sculpture Porcelain Factory: Also has many creative and beautiful places and many small stalls to shop at, if you don't have much time, just come here!
🏺️The main focus of this trip was to experience DIY ceramics, I really recommend everyone to try it, the sense of accomplishment when you get the finished product is amazing. 🥰
✨If you want to make ceramics, set aside at least half a day, otherwise you won't have enough time. It takes at least 5 hours from shaping to coloring.
✨It takes about a month to get the finished product, and the ceramics will shrink after firing, so make it a little bigger than you expect for a better effect.

Travel Diary | My "Home" in Jingdezhen.
| My "Home" in Jingdezhen. I've always wanted to visit Jingdezhen to see the exquisite porcelain and play with clay. This weekend, I finally made plans with my friends.
I didn't want to get too tired, so I booked a homestay in Sanbao Village, surrounded by mountains and rivers with fresh air.
This time, I stayed in a mountain view suite on the first floor. The room has large floor-to-ceiling windows, and it feels great to sit on the recliner by the window and daydream. The bed is soft and large, and as soon as I lay down, my travel fatigue disappeared. 😌
The hotel's 24-hour butler service is also excellent. All my needs were quickly met. 👏
The hotel's breakfast is also quite special, with local snacks from Jingdezhen and Cantonese dim sum. My friends and I were very satisfied. The restaurant also serves lunch and dinner.
When I had nothing to do during the day, I wandered around the homestay. I ate fruit and chatted with my friends in the tea room, and went to the pool to accompany my friends for a swim and daydream.
Since it's in Sanbao Village, I could ask the butler to drive me to any place I wanted to visit in the homestay park. It was very convenient.

This restaurant in Jingdezhen is amazing!!!
It was the first stop after getting off the high-speed train, and I went straight to this local restaurant in Jingdezhen!!! I arrived at the restaurant at 4 pm! I didn't expect there to be a queue at the door already. It's really popular.
The restaurant is decorated in a new Chinese style, with lots of traditional Chinese porcelain and paintings inside and outside, creating a great atmosphere.
√ Yellow Croaker
The spicy yellow croaker is incredibly delicious!!! I think it was fried in advance! The outside is crispy and the inside is tender! The spicy soup is very flavorful and goes well with rice.
√ Lime Sweet and Sour Pork Ribs
The sweet and sour sauce covers the large pork ribs, which sweet lovers will definitely like! It's not greasy at all and very satisfying!!
√ Stir-fried Yellow Beef, Steamed Yellow Croaker with Black Bean Sauce, Braised Chicken Feet with Mushrooms, Yellow Croaker Wontons, Dumplings... All the ingredients are very fresh and delicious!!
There is also peach lemon tea served in a pink porcelain cup, sticky ice cream mochi, and osmanthus milk ice jelly... All of them are so beautiful that you can't bear to eat them...
√ Three Claw Pot
It contains pig's feet, duck's feet, and chicken feet, all stewed together until soft and flavorful. The meat falls off the bone easily, and the taste is so addictive that you can't stop eating.
√ Blueberry Shaved Ice
There is a whole circle of blueberries on the outside, each one is sweet and juicy. There is also an ice cream cake from Jingdezhen on top, and cold shaved ice at the bottom. It looks and tastes great, so you must try it.
The various ice bowls in the restaurant are a must-have dessert for summer. They are shaped like porcelain, and each one is beautiful and delicious. You can also get a small gift when dining in the restaurant, such as a cultural fan or a porcelain bracelet. It's really thoughtful.

🌷 Elegant environment
This time I stayed at a homestay in Sanbao Village, which is very convenient to get in and out of 👍🏻
The whole street is full of small shops, and you can spend a whole day eating, drinking, and having fun 😋
The floor-to-ceiling windows of the independent courtyard room face the greenery in the courtyard 🌿 which is very pleasing to the eye
-
🌷 Thoughtful design
The courtyard has a fish pond 🐠 and several tea rooms that can be used for free
There are two call ducks 🐥 in the yard that wander around from morning to night, super cute
The room is very large, and the soundproofing effect of the outside traffic is very good, so you can sleep peacefully 💤
-
🌷 Attentive service
The owner was very enthusiastic in entertaining us and helped arrange parking spaces and move luggage 🧳
The owner's new store offers coffee ☕️ and the scenery is also beautiful
The staff sent us the check-in instructions and travel guide 🗒 before we checked in, which was very considerate

Jingdezhen! Sanbao Village! This family courtyard homestay is so beautiful!
🍃The homestay is close to the hot spring♨️ and museum🏫, and you can enjoy beautiful scenery as soon as you step out. It is full of artistic style, with a combination of traditional and modern decoration. You can see ducks🦆 at the door when you wake up in the morning, and you can feed them, which is very healing.
·
🍃The room is cozy and the bedding is clean. The lighting is warm and just right, the tea room is available at any time, and the breakfast is delicious🍳. The courtyard landscape is perfect for taking photos, and the plants and buildings are beautifully matched🌸.
·
🍃There are two cute call ducks🐣, which are full of emotional value. When you are bored, you can enjoy the breeze, feed the ducks, and drink tea🍵, which will make you feel relaxed.

📍 Fuzhou Alley: Food Street, a gathering place for special snacks

📍 Taoyang Xincun: Night market, there are many small stalls selling porcelain
.
DAY2️⃣: Sanbao Village-🚗Return
📍 Sanbao Village: Free of charge. There is only one road into the village. The shops along the road have a very strong artistic atmosphere. Every place is suitable for checking in and taking pictures. To be honest, this is what I find boring. The queues for some Internet celebrity seats are too outrageous and completely lost. Interested...
🛵 When visiting Sanbao Village, it is recommended to rent a small electric donkey. This is the most interesting thing for me. The small electric donkey is really a great invention that liberates human legs👍🏻

About 9 km from Jingdezhen Luojia Airport;
About 5 km from Jingdezhen East Railway Station;
About 4 km from Jingdezhen North Railway Station;
The hotel has a dedicated underground parking lot, so parking is very convenient.
The front desk staff were very welcoming, and there was a large poster at the front desk with information about nearby attractions. They also explained how to get there, which was very thoughtful.
The room was quite large and smart, and the hotel breakfast was also very rich. There were also local specialties such as fried dough sticks wrapped in glutinous rice cakes, which you can try. They were delicious.

Jingdezhen City.
1. Taoxichuan Hotel
Taoxichuan Hotel is located in the Taoxichuan Creative Park at 150 Xinchang West Road, Zhushan District, Jingdezhen. It was converted from an old ceramic factory and is very unique. The hotel not only retains the original industrial style, but also incorporates modern design elements to create a unique artistic atmosphere.
Staying here is really convenient, and the environment is very good.
2. Fuzhou Lane, located in the city center of the old city of Jingdezhen, is just a street away from the famous Imperial Kiln Factory Site. Speaking of Fuzhou Lane, some friends from other places may be curious, why is a lane in Jingdezhen named after the neighboring city of Fuzhou? As we all know, Jingdezhen is famous for its porcelain, and craftsmen come from all over the world. The streets and lanes of the city contain rich information about local customs, geographical changes, and other aspects. Fuzhou Lane, for example, originated from the Fuzhou Guild Hall, which was built by people from various counties in Fuzhou Prefecture during the Qing Dynasty. Today, the Fuzhou Guild Hall has been converted into a school, but the name Fuzhou Lane has been preserved.
3. Jingdezhen China Ceramics Museum
One of the must-visit attractions in Jingdezhen. If you plan to visit on a weekend, you must make a reservation one week in advance, otherwise, you may not be able to get a reservation as it is usually fully booked.
4. Imperial Kiln Scenic Area - Porcelain Palace
The Porcelain Palace is located on a high ground in Xiping Village, Fuliang County, Jingdezhen City. It looks like a huge colorful round "cake". The Porcelain Palace is a building inlaid with tens of thousands of pieces of porcelain fragments, porcelain bottles, and porcelain plates, and is called the "Porcelain Palace" by the locals. The exterior of the Porcelain Palace is modeled after the Hakka walled house and has three floors. The first and second floors are used to display porcelain paintings of the "Four Great Classical Novels" of Chinese traditional culture, and the third floor displays porcelain paintings of Buddhist themes such as the "Five Hundred Arhats". The picture shows the Bagua pattern on the floor of the "palace". The exterior walls of the Porcelain Palace are inlaid with various porcelain pieces, mainly the four famous porcelains of Jingdezhen: blue and white, linglong, famille rose, and colored glaze.
There are four palaces inside, three round and one square.

Jingdezhen 3-day 2-night travel guide.
✔️Accommodation: We stayed near Taoxichuan. We recommend staying here as it is convenient to visit nearby attractions, which are not far from each other.
✔️Transportation: We rented an electric scooter 🛵 near the hotel for CNY 30 per day with a CNY 100 deposit, which was refunded when we returned the scooter. The scooter we rented was very powerful and still had power after we rode it for 2 days.
✔️Dining: You can go to Fuzhou Nong for snacks and Zhejiang Road for food stalls, where there are many options.
Day 1✅
We departed from Nanchang and chose to travel on a weekday to avoid the crowds and have a better experience. We arrived at the hotel at around 11:00.
1️⃣ Sanbao Village: We recommend renting a scooter to visit here. You can visit all the popular spots. The village is quite large, and every corner is perfect for taking photos.
2️⃣ Sculpture Porcelain Factory: As the saying goes, no one can leave Jingdezhen empty-handed. There are many hand strings and porcelain here, and every shop has its own style. It is a great place to visit, and you can spend more time here if you have time.
3️⃣ Taoxichuan: A literary market that is open all day. It is a great place to visit, with food, drinks, and entertainment.
Day 2✅
1️⃣ Taoyangli: You can buy tickets on-site or in advance for CNY 53 per person. Locals can enter for free with their ID cards (I am very envious of the locals in Jingdezhen).
2️⃣ Imperial Kiln Museum: Remember to make a reservation in advance. You can scan the code to enter when you arrive. You can make a reservation on the Changyou Jingdezhen mini program. The museum is a great place to take photos, and every photo is a masterpiece. There are many visitors, and it is great to take photos in the afternoon when the sun is setting.
3️⃣ Fuzhou Nong: A snack street where you can find fried dough sticks wrapped in glutinous rice cakes and Fan's beef bone noodles, as well as many other snacks.
4️⃣ China Ceramic Museum: The museum is very large, and it is more convenient to visit from top to bottom. The statue of Buddha is on the 6th floor. Remember to make a reservation at least one day in advance. You can scan the reservation code to enter. You can make a reservation on the Changyou Jingdezhen mini program.
5️⃣ Taoyang New Village: You can visit here in the evening. It is not very large, and almost every stall sells hand strings for CNY 10 for 3.
Day 3✅
1️⃣ Yaoli Ancient Village: The lyrics "The sky is blue and waiting for the rain" brought me to Yaoli Ancient Town. The scenic area is not large, and it is free to visit. The scenery is beautiful, and it is a great place to take photos.
