This homestay is amazing, with a great location and convenient transportation. The large screen TV is great, and the check-in experience is great. I am a light sleeper, but I slept very well here. This colorful upcoming city will be the land of fairies, princes and princesses of Guiyang. It is very colorful and well designed, with the outside itself already attracting lots of visitors to see the place. This park is promising to be one of the best attractions in Huaxi when it’s completed.
The place is along Jiaxiu south road torwards Pingba, about 10 minutes drive from Huaxi CBD.

Unique buildings and structures at Shilihetan
Shilihetan in Huaxi has a wide range of buildings and structures that come in different shapes and sizes. What really caught my eye was the structure made of bamboo.
This gives the whole park an elegant look and shows the creativity that the designers have. It’s an amazing place to hang out and see variety: the grass thatched houses really reminded me of the rural homes in my home country.
Most people visit the Shilihetan urban national wetlands park to relax and enjoy, thus these buildings provide temporary shelter for all the tourists that come to visit here.
Shilihetan is about 5 minutes drive from Guizhou university and the main entrance is along Huaxi avenue. Entrance is free free free!

Spectacular view of Huaxi bridge, Guiyang
Huaxi Bridge is so beautiful. Today I visited Shilihetan and on my way there I noticed Huaxi bridge’s spectacular view, with blue skies, green vegetation and a mountain that stands tall, oh what a lovely place.
Huaxi bridge is located in the district of Huaxi in Guiyang. This particular location is where the bridge runs over Huaxi avenue, about 10 minutes walk from Guizhou university’s north campus main entrance.
I bet watching the sunset from the angle would be amazing, and it is a good spot for car spotting as the bridge allows you to get a good view of cars running along Huaxi avenue.

Huaxi is one of the fastest growing districts in Guiyang.

As walking deeper into the residence site, you will find a grand mansion with magnificent vegetation and gates, and a residence with beautiful and well-maintained garden which create a landscape filled with deep tranquility and abundant nature. They designed the outside in a very beautiful way. It is surrounded by a quiet residential area where several schools, restaurants and hospitals are in close proximity.

Simple dinner at Donado in Huaxi, Guiyang
Spent the day outside visiting places and looking for content. I walked a lot, almost 20000 steps in total so I had to rest after a long day and of course, feed the body that carried me throughout the day, haha.
I went to Donado for dinner at Wanke Mall in Guiyang’s Huaxi district. The restaurant serves western food including pizza, salads, steak and others. Their prices are very affordable and you’ll definitely be full after a full meal. Their service is very good, and I was served by someone who’s learning English so it was an exciting experience for them taking my order.
There is a a variety of transport options to get to Wanke. Make sure you try them out one of the days.
