Harbin is the real-life version of Harry Potter.
When I think of Harbin, the first word that comes to mind is "cold." However, when I actually set foot on this land, the coldness far exceeded my imagination, as if I had entered a kingdom made of ice and snow. But it is precisely this coldness that makes Harbin's charm irresistible.
Walking on the streets of Harbin, I feel like I have traveled through time and space. The ice rinks on the snow, the bustling Central Street, every place is unforgettable. The classic scenes from the movie "Black Coal, Thin Ice" come to mind, with churches and train stations that seem to transport me into a real-life Harry Potter world. Every frame is so exquisite that I can't take my eyes off it.
🚶♂️A three-day itinerary is enough for me to explore every corner of the city.
On Day 1, I started from the Zhonghua Baroque Street, feeling the unique architectural style. Then, I strolled to the former site of Songguang Cinema, feeling the weight of history. Next, I went to Stalin Park, admiring the ripples on the cold river surface. In the evening, I strolled along Central Street, tasting local delicacies and admiring the European-style buildings on both sides of the street. As night fell, St. Sophia Cathedral looked particularly solemn under the lights, and the Music Gallery echoed with melodious music. Finally, I arrived at the Bund Snowman Pier, getting up close and personal with this world of ice and snow.
On Day 2, I went to Harbin Grand Theater, feeling the charm of art. Then, I entered the Ice and Snow World, a dreamlike kingdom made of ice and snow, where every corner is breathtaking. Finally, I went to the Sun Island Ice Harvesting Field to witness the process of ice block harvesting.
It is important to note that Harbin is really cold in winter. By December, the sun sets before 4 pm. So, when visiting Harbin, be sure to dress warmly to better enjoy the fun of this ice and snow kingdom.
📍Location: Harbin, Heilongjiang
This is a dreamlike journey about ice and snow, and a real-life Harry Potter world journey. If you also long for such a scene, then come to Harbin!

I took the best photos of my life in Harbin.
Thank you, Harbin, for letting me see such beautiful scenery.
This is a place you must visit at least once in your life!
You can imagine how difficult it is to build the ice sculptures just by looking at the blocks of ice.
As a southerner, I was amazed by the beauty!

❄️ Tips for Harbin Ice and Snow World 🧊
1. If you can't get on the big slide, you can play with the snow tube! Walk to the right after entering the park. Snow tubes are provided, so you don't need to bring your own.
2. There are some places in the park where you can rent snow tubes, but there don't seem to be any small slopes to play on. If you rent a snow tube, you can only pull each other around, haha.
3. If you feel cold, there are many indoor places to warm up. There are also snacks such as oden, grilled sausage, egg tarts, and bread.
4. You won't feel cold when you first enter the park because you'll be excited and moving around. But when the sun goes down and you get tired, you'll start to feel cold! At this time, face masks, warm shoe insoles, and hand warmers in your pocket will come in handy!
5. Tips for taking photos 📸 without people in the background: Have your photographer squat down and zoom in to take a half-body shot. Bend forward a little bit when facing the camera. This way, you'll have a nice background without people in the shot.

China's Northeast is Freezing Cold | The Stunning Ice and Snow World
Harbin Ice and Snow World is a super popular attraction in Northeast China every winter. The 26th edition is coming at the end of 2024, with a different theme every year, making it a place worth visiting annually. The entire Ice and Snow World lasts from Christmas to February of the following year, spanning 70-80 days. Covering an area of 750,000 square meters, it features ice and snow animations, ice and snow performances, ice acrobatics, and ice sculpture exhibitions. The lights at night are incredibly beautiful ❤️
However, Northeast China is really cold. Even during the day in late December, temperatures can drop to -20 to -30 degrees Celsius, making your teeth chatter. Walking in the Ice and Snow World at night can freeze your ears off, so remember to wear a full set of down jackets, snow boots, hats, gloves, and warm packs, or you might catch a cold!

Winter Charm: Dusk at Volga Manor in Harbin
In the winter of Harbin, it starts to get dark as early as 4 PM🌒. When you arrive at Volga Manor🏰 by the Ashi River, a cultural tourist spot filled with Russian charm🇷🇺, the surrounding beauty is incredibly exciting🎉, especially with the winter sunlight☀️ illuminating the entire manor.
As time passes, the sunset🌇 slowly descends, painting the sky in golden and orange hues🌅, creating a stark contrast with the white snow❄️, making me stop in my tracks to savor this beautiful scene.
The sunset, like a burning fireball🔥, slowly sinks, casting its glow on the surrounding trees🌲 and buildings🏛️, enveloping the entire manor in a layer of golden radiance✨.

Winter Journey: Volga Manor in Harbin and Russian Matryoshka Doll Experience
When winter arrives❄️, it's time to visit a place that's really cold. Harbin is the perfect destination for a winter trip. In winter, Harbin is covered in snow. I visited the Volga Manor located by the Ashi River. This place spans over 600,000 square meters and blends Harbin's history with Russian culture.
Walking into the manor, it's a world of white. The Russian-style buildings look particularly charming in the snow. Each building in the manor exudes a strong Russian flavor, making me feel like I'm in a foreign country.
The highlight of my visit was painting Russian Matryoshka dolls. Under the guidance of an instructor, I learned how to paint on wooden Matryoshka dolls. From the initial base color to the intricate patterns, every step was filled with creativity and fun.

🇨🇳 Songhua river rafting
#rafting #100WaysOfTravel
This is a frozen river in Harbin and one of the rivers to have many activities too. It is frozen from November until early April and you can even drive on this frozen river. During this period, you can even do snow activities such as frozen river rafting. Instead on floating on the river, you will sit on a raft made from car tyres and glide across the river. Remember to wear layering to keep warm and protect your skin from the harsh winter winds.

👔Clothing Tips:
Upper body: thermal vest + thermal underwear + down inner lining + long down jacket. This will keep you warm.
Lower body: thermal pants + thick denim jeans + snow boots. Keep your legs warm too.
Accessories: scarf + hat + gloves. Don't forget any of them! Also, remember to bring sunglasses! The sun is strong and there's light reflection, so it's really hard to open your eyes. Prepare enough warm pads. Your body and phone need them to stay warm.😉
Guys, come to Harbin Ice and Snow World and embark on a dreamy trip!💕

Check out the popular attraction Central Street in Harbin.
Central Street in Harbin is the first pedestrian street in China, known as the 'First Street of Asia.' It is also a must-visit spot for tourists coming to Harbin.
Central Street is 1450 meters long and 21 meters wide. The buildings on both sides blend Renaissance, Baroque, and other styles, earning it the 'UN Architectural Achievement Award.' The 'bread stones' on the street silently tell the history of the past century. Strolling leisurely, you can feel the traces of time brought by history and the unique charm exuded by this city.
The district gathers historical buildings of Western architectural styles such as Renaissance, Baroque, Eclecticism, Art Nouveau, and Classicism. It has become a famous commercial street in Harbin. While appreciating the architecture, you can also buy some souvenirs to take home to your relatives and friends.

Harbin | Hulan Day Tour.
| Hulan Day Tour. If you have time when you visit Harbin, you can take a day tour to Hulan!
The Catholic Church in Hulan was built during the Guangxu period. According to my husband, the Catholic Church used to be in Hulan No. 5 Middle School, and then the school moved away.
The whole church is really beautiful. It should have been renovated. The front is a bit unreal, and the colored windows are all Bible stories, which are very beautiful!
After visiting the Catholic Church, I went to see Xiaohong's former residence. I happened to meet the Yangko team competition, which was quite interesting. Xiaohong's former residence retains all the original appearance of her home, and there is also a Xiaohong Museum next to it, which you can visit.
You can also go to Xigang Park to see the century-old cactus. Then go to the Hulan River to have a look, and then you can go to the Yushun Art Museum on the way back to the city.

Must-visit during the National Day holiday! A list of beautiful check-in spots for internet celebrities
Babies, the countdown to the National Day holiday has begun! Want to escape from the crowd and embrace a different autumn feast? Harbin, the northern ice city, is quietly changing into golden clothes waiting for you to tease~
✨First stop: Central Street, where the charm of history and modern fashion collide perfectly. Walking on this century-old street, the buildings on both sides seem to tell the stories of the past. Don't forget to check in at the front of the Madier popsicle. It is the taste of summer, but it is surprisingly suitable for the coolness of autumn.
✨The second stop, go straight to the Songhua River. The river view under the setting sun is as beautiful as a painting. Find a good angle and use the lens to freeze this tranquility and magnificence, and your circle of friends will receive a lot of praise.
✨The third stop, uncover the mystery of the internet celebrity check-in spot-Sun Island. Although I missed the spring full of flowers, it has a different flavor in autumn. The scenery on the island is beautiful, every frame is a gift from nature, remember to put on your most beautiful clothes and dance with the autumn colors.
✨Speaking of eating, Harbin's pot meat, red sausage, and big rye bread are simply a feast of taste buds! Find an old-fashioned restaurant recommended by locals, and let Harbin on the tip of your tongue take you back to that era full of stories.
✨When night falls, you might as well go to the cruise ship on the Songhua River and change your perspective to see the dim lights of Harbin. In the cool night breeze, the outline of the city gradually blurred, leaving only the unspeakable touch in my heart.

[❤️❤️❤️] Food recommendation:
1⃣️Yin Fat Fried Cake
Taste: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
It is a characteristic food with a guarantee of more than 30 years. It can be said to be a signature food in the morning market. 1.8r/piece, there are many flavors to choose from, rose bean paste filling is more popular, sweet, the outer oil skin is crispy, the inside bean paste filling is very sweet and has a rose flavor; super delicious recommended
2⃣️Meat Egg Burger
Taste: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Known as the Northeast Hamburger or Egg Burger. About 4r/piece The meat filling is very full, the outer skin is spicy and crispy, and it is much more delicious than the egg burgers elsewhere.
3⃣️ Chocolate Fritters
Taste: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Red Sister Fritters is the most famous, 5r/root, sweet, sweet taste of chocolate sauce;
4⃣️Mutton Soup and Beef Pie
Taste: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
The mutton bone is boiled with fresh and fragrant mouth, and there are beef pies and pork pies, 4r/piece, perfect match; the mutton soup is fresh and not greasy, suitable for the "Northeast stomach" in the morning, the portion is very sufficient, it is recommended that two people buy a bowl.
5⃣️Stupid Clever Hand Buns
Taste: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
The first thing that comes to mind is their stupid clever spare rib bun, followed by the special braised pork bun, and the special sausage bun does not have a stunning taste.
Price: Meat bun 2-3r/piece Vegetarian bun 1-1.5r/piece
6⃣️ Palace Crispy Beef Pie
Taste: 🌟🌟🌟🌟
Another crispy outside and tender inside!! Different from the taste of ordinary beef pies. Many morning markets and night markets have this stall.
7⃣️Egg Fresh Meat Pie
Taste: 🌟🌟🌟🌟
The prices of each family are different, and the size and ingredients will be different. Salty, crispy skin, the inside is similar to the feeling of salty meat pie; the oil is a bit too much and greasy
8⃣️ Big Porridge
Taste: 🌟🌟🌟
The sweet taste of whole grain corn stew;
9⃣️Roasted Sausage
Taste: 🌟🌟🌟🌟
Much cheaper than Central Avenue, the taste is okay, you can try it if you haven't eaten it.
🏷️tipc:
The business hours of the morning market are generally from 6 am to 9 am. It is recommended to arrive around 7 am. At this time, you can taste the freshly cooked food and avoid the peak of the crowd.
🚗How to go:
-Subway: Take Subway Line 2 and get off at Central Avenue Station, and walk about 500 meters to reach.

As a Southerner, braving the cold wind and snow to visit a Northern church!
As a Southerner, my first visit to Harbin was not only cold 🥶, but what struck me the most was the magnificent and grand Saint Sophia Cathedral ⛪️. Standing in the center of the city, it seems like a guardian of history, quietly telling stories of the past. 🕌 The onion-shaped dome and green exterior walls of the church stand out and appear particularly striking and mysterious against the backdrop of blue skies and white clouds ⛅️. Upon entering the church, I was deeply captivated by its luxurious interior decorations. The towering arches, exquisite murals, and splendid chandeliers 🕯️ together create a solemn and sacred atmosphere. Additionally, the scenery around the church is also enchanting. ❄️ Snowflakes falling from the sky add a touch of romance and fantasy to this northern city.

Harbin Citywalk, a full-day itinerary featuring museums.
In one day, we only visited four museums: Harbin Museum, Harbin Pharmaceutical Group Sixth Printing Museum, Harbin Institute of Technology Museum, and Harbin Institute of Technology Aerospace Museum.
We visited Harbin Museum and happened to catch the special exhibition "Lilac News: Central Street Historical Style Exhibition" (lilac is the city flower of Harbin). The most impressive were the grandeur and splendor of the Harbin Pharmaceutical Group Sixth Printing Museum, the most beautiful notes exhibition at the Harbin Institute of Technology Museum, and the high-tech achievements of the Harbin Institute of Technology Aerospace Museum... Harbin! Central Street! Stayed at an affordable and comfortable hotel!
Finally came to Harbin to check in,
and stayed at an affordable and comfortable hotel.
Students and couples will also be very excited!
Affordable and comfortable √ with breakfast √ near Central Street
The location is simply too satisfying!
It is only a ten-minute walk to Harbin Central Street, a five-minute walk to Harbin Railway Station, and a four-minute walk to Saint Sophia Cathedral.
There is also a subway station nearby, which is also a few minutes' walk.
The room is spacious and bright, very comfortable! The bed is comfortable and the big bed is very helpful for sleep. A rich breakfast is also provided, with many styles and good taste.
The arranged room can see the scenery outside the window. I like Harbin even more!

Sharing a snowy travel plan in Harbin
The best winter travel destinations in China with freezing temperatures
Visit the snow village and see the magnificent ice festival
📌 Things to know before going to Harbin
- Harbin has no direct flights from Bangkok, you have to take a connecting flight in China
- December to February is the high season, with many tourist attractions and activities
- The weather in Harbin is quite cold to very cold, with temperatures ranging from -20 to -35
- Due to the relatively cold weather, winter gear is very essential. Gloves, hats, and thermal bags are a must-have item. If you are feeling very cold, we recommend bringing them with you.
- Most shops in Harbin still accept cash, but if you want convenience, we recommend using Alipay.
- The main tourist attractions in Harbin can be reached by train, with train fares starting at 2 yuan.
- If you are not comfortable going with many people, we recommend using the Didi taxi app, which can be used via the Alipay app, or you can call a regular taxi with a starting price of 8 yuan.
- You can take a bus from the airport to the city, which costs 20 yuan per person, and passes through main routes such as Zhongyang Street. We did not use this service because our accommodation was not far from the airport, so we took a taxi instead.
-Chinese people don't speak English very well, but don't worry, you can use Google translate to talk to them. They are lovely and always try to help us.
📌Important apps that must be on your phone
-Alipay is an app for financial transactions, paying for transportation and everything. We can connect credit cards or travel cards.
-Baidu map is an app for traveling to see various tourist attractions like Google Maps, but the app is in Chinese, so you have to use Google translate. I recommend searching for the name of the place in Chinese.
-Didi is an app in Alipay. This app is for calling a taxi. It's not expensive. You can pin it and compare the license plate of the taxi conveniently. It's not difficult to use. The trick is don't forget to press the one that requires a discount.
-Trip is for booking hotels and accommodations in the Snow Village. We also booked in this app.
-Metroman is a train app. We can see the pick-up and drop-off points from this map.
Harbin is actually a Chinese tourist destination that not many Thais have been to. So we would like to recommend it for everyone to visit. Traveling to China by yourself is not difficult for everyone. The Chinese are very friendly. Don't wait, follow us to travel.

Explore Harbin: Must-Visit Attraction and Must-Try Delicacy
Harbin, often referred to as the "Ice City," is a vibrant and culturally rich destination in northeastern China. Known for its Russian-influenced architecture, Harbin transforms into a winter wonderland during the colder months, attracting visitors from all over the world. Here’s a must-visit attraction and a must-eat delicacy that you shouldn’t miss while exploring Harbin.
**1. Must-Visit: Harbin Ice and Snow World**
If there’s one place you absolutely must visit in Harbin, it’s the Harbin Ice and Snow World. This iconic winter festival is held annually from late December to February and features an awe-inspiring display of ice and snow sculptures that are nothing short of magical. Artists from around the globe gather to carve intricate and enormous structures, including palaces, castles, and famous landmarks, all made entirely of ice and snow. As night falls, these sculptures are illuminated with colorful lights, creating a dazzling spectacle that you’ll remember for a lifetime.
The festival also offers various activities such as ice slides, snowboarding, and ice skating, making it a fun experience for all ages. Be sure to dress warmly, as temperatures can drop significantly, but the cold is part of the charm that makes this winter wonderland so enchanting.
**2. Must-Eat: Enjoying Harbin's Famous Red Sausage**
When in Harbin, you can’t miss trying the city’s famous Red Sausage, a legacy of its Russian heritage. This delicious smoked sausage, made from pork and seasoned with garlic, salt, and spices, is a local favorite and a staple in Harbin's culinary scene. It’s typically served cold and is often enjoyed with bread or pickles, making it the perfect snack or accompaniment to a meal. You’ll find this delicacy at local markets, street vendors, and even in restaurants across the city.
**3. Tips for Travelers**
- **Best Time to Visit:** The best time to visit Harbin is during the winter, especially from December to February, to experience the Ice and Snow World at its peak. The city’s cold weather adds to the festive atmosphere, but be sure to pack plenty of warm clothing, including thermal layers, a heavy coat, gloves, and boots.
- **Where to Try Red Sausage:** For an authentic taste, visit a local deli or market. Harbin's Central Street (Zhongyang Dajie) is a great place to start, where you can find both traditional and modern versions of this beloved sausage.
