2024 Furna Travel Guide: Must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transportation routes (updated in December)
This mountain! It never disappoints! A fairy tale world!
🌍The Alps, the highest mountain range in Western Europe, is like a giant dragon lying on the European continent. It starts from the southeast of France, passes through the north of Italy, the south of Switzerland, Liechtenstein, the south of Germany, and ends in Austria and Slovenia. It is about 1,200 kilometers long and 130 to 260 kilometers wide, with an average altitude of 3,000 meters.
🌟Must-visit attractions:
- Mont Blanc: Located at the border of France and Italy, it is 4,810 meters above sea level. It is the highest peak in the Alps and the highest peak in Western Europe. Standing on the top of the mountain, it feels like being above the sea of clouds, with a panoramic view of the surrounding scenery. The continuous mountains, blue sky, and white clouds form a beautiful picture.
- Matterhorn: The iconic mountain in Switzerland, the unique triangular pyramid shape makes it one of the most famous mountains in the Alps. The mountain is steep and majestic, shining with charming silver light under the sun.
- Jungfrau: Known as the "Top of Europe", Jungfrau is about 3,454 meters above sea level and has the highest railway station in Europe. Taking the train all the way up, you can enjoy the completely different landscape changes within a mountain, from green grass to white snow, as if experiencing a cycle of four seasons.
- Alpe di Siusi: In the Dolomites region in northeastern Italy, it is the largest alpine meadow in Europe, with a length of more than 30 kilometers from east to west and a width of more than 10 kilometers from north to south. From late June to early August each year, flowers are everywhere, beautiful as a poem or a painting.
🛬Transportation guide:
- International transportation: You can fly to Milan or Munich first, and then take a train to a city near the Alps, such as Bolzano.
- Local transportation: In the Alps, public transportation is relatively developed. You can take trains, cable cars, buses, etc. to various attractions. For example, you can take the famous Jungfrau Railway in Switzerland; in the Dolomites, you can take a cable car to Alpe di Siusi, etc.
🏠Accommodation guide:
- Mountain hotels: Many mountains have hotels. These hotels are in excellent locations and allow you to enjoy the beautiful mountain view when you wake up in the morning. Some hotels also provide hot spring services. After a day of play, soaking in a hot spring can relieve fatigue.
- Town B&Bs: There are many characteristic B&Bs in the towns around the Alps. They are not only relatively affordable, but also allow you to experience the local customs. For example, the B&Bs in Zell am See, Austria, have a beautiful environment and complete surrounding facilities.
💡Other tips:
- Changeable climate: The climate of the Alps is changeable. Even in summer, the temperature on the mountain may be low. It is recommended to bring warm clothing and sunscreen.
- Plan in advance: There are many attractions in the Alps, and they are relatively scattered. It is recommended to plan your itinerary in advance, arrange your time reasonably, so that you can fully appreciate the beauty of each attraction.
- Respect local culture: The Alps region has a rich culture and tradition. During the tour, respect local customs and cultural differences.
In short, the Alps is a worthwhile tourist destination. Whether you like mountaineering, skiing, or enjoying natural scenery, it can meet your needs. Come to the Alps and start an unforgettable journey!

Swiss Hotel | Stay in the natural scenery like home.
Swiss Hotel | Stay in the natural scenery like home
The Brecon Hotel in Adelboden, Switzerland, really makes me feel excited. It is a hidden hotel in the Bernese Highlands in central Switzerland, giving people a feeling of cold luxury and exquisite craftsmanship.
·
With a unique view of the Alps and a combination of mountain chalet culture, it is rebuilt inside based on the original wooden frame structure in 1914, just like living in nature.
·
🟥 Here you can see various master-level vintage furniture works, such as Jean Gillo lounge chairs from the 1960s, handmade ceramic tableware by artist Andréa Anderson, hand-woven carpets by Layered, and huge handmade chandeliers designed by Memori Gallery in Marseille, etc.
·
🟥 All the materials used here are natural materials such as linen, leather, cotton, wool, and handmade double-layer weaving by Melin Tregwynt, a weaver from Pembrokeshire, which is mainly relaxed and simple, making people love it.
·
🟥 The hotel's spa area also has a panoramic sauna, steam room, and an outdoor panoramic heated swimming pool in Art Deco style. You don't want to come out at all on snowy days.
·
The Brecon has both the nostalgic exhibition style of the mid-20th century and the tenderness under the Alps. It is located in a valley, looking at the magnificent snow-capped mountains in front of you, it is hard not to love it.

Is this the mountain of your dreams?
Among the mountains, above the high peaks, the sound of cowbells echoes through the green valleys, the meadows are covered with fresh flowers, and the huge clouds paint pictures of varying shades on the ground.
Here, there's no need to check the time.
The church bells and the light on the slopes
will tell you where to go.
Follow the peaks before your eyes
to explore the world beyond the world.
The car drives along the mountain road,
turning countless bends,
and finally, the cabin appears before your eyes.
Vast meadows and distant snowy mountains,
and this cabin that seems to stand in the sky city.
The meadows are full of little yellow flowers,
everything feels like a dream.
The next morning, open the window,
and the snowy mountains come into view.
Make a simple breakfast,
and start a new day with the beautiful scenery outside the window.
When we arrived the previous day, the mountains were still covered with green meadows,
but the next day, they were full of dandelions.
After observing for a day, I found that they basically 'sleep' in the afternoon.
Every morning, they slowly bloom again in the sunlight.
In the afternoon,
I found a book I liked,
set up a sun umbrella,
and started the afternoon tea time.
That's what travel is like.
At some moment, you will feel that freedom is the soul,
it's my favorite way deep in my heart.
In the evening,
set up a grill outside with friends,
accompanied by the sunset glow and the golden mountains.
At that moment,
it seemed as if time stood still.
The Alps, no substitute
This summer, I finally tried the unique Tour du Mont Blanc hike. Thanks to the Alps, I enjoyed summer for the first time in so many years.
·
The Tour du Mont Blanc (TMB) is recognized worldwide as a hiking route, and the richness of the scenery here is breathtaking. Snow-capped mountains, lakes, canyons, meadows, glaciers, waterfalls, the three-dimensional mountain landscape combination is never repetitive, and every day of hiking brings new surprises. The classic traverse loop maximizes these scenic combinations, and every summer and autumn, hiking on this route feels like being in a fairyland, with rich colors making one think that God accidentally spilled the palette on the Alpine plateau.
·
This time, I teamed up with my boyfriend and two other friends to participate in the Tour du Mont Blanc hike. Everyone came from all over the world to the Alps (Sweden, Japan, China), and we almost couldn't have fun together due to other obstacles along the way~
·
Our itinerary this time was a counterclockwise route, 7 days and 6 nights,
Day 1: Notre Dame de la gorge - Refuge du Bonhomme
Day 2: Refuge du Bonhomme - Rifugio Elisabetta
Day 3: Rifugio Elisabetta - Rifugio Bertone
Day 4: Rifugio Bertone - Rifugio Elena
Day 5: Rifugio Elena - Champex
Day 6: Champex - Trient
Day 7: Trient - Le Tour
·
We stayed in mountain huts along the way, had luggage transfer services, and guides, so we only needed to carry daily necessities for light hiking. Each day involved about 6-7 hours of hiking, with breakfast and dinner at the mountain huts (tasty!); lunch was a picnic lunch, simple but nutritious, and the guide thoughtfully prepared local cheeses from different valleys for us.
·
Along the way, we saw a variety of changing landscapes, experienced the different customs and cultures of France, Italy, and Switzerland, chatted with people from different regions such as France, the US, Russia, and Australia, improved our English and French a bit, got stung by hornets, fell flat on my face during the hike, and was pushed in a wheelchair to the airport... It was indeed a very comprehensive experience

As you hike through the crisp alpine air, the towering peaks surround you, with the Matterhorn standing out in its iconic pyramid shape.
