A beautiful private hot spring cabin in the mountains of Qingcheng Mountain.
Who would have thought that there would be such a hidden gem 💎 private hot spring cabin at the foot of Qingcheng Mountain? The owner follows the design concept of "Amanfayun" and returns to nature: there is a retro-style pavilion by the babbling stream, a stone path paved with gravel, and the frame of the cabin 🏕️ and the furniture inside are all made of 💯 solid wood, with no modern metallic feel in any detail.
The floor-to-ceiling windows in the room make you feel like you are in the forest, and every piece of furniture exudes a natural atmosphere 🌿. The room is designed to be simple yet luxurious, and every detail shows the owner's dedication. 💕
The hot spring in each room is 💯 private. The owner said that when designing the room, a lot of space was sacrificed to ensure privacy. Soaking in the private hot spring and breathing in the negative oxygen ions, the feeling of relaxation is indescribable. 🌟
If you love nature, you will 💯 ❤️ this "Amanfayun" at the foot of Qingcheng Mountain.

Hey Luis Where Are You
Water Irrigation System part of UNESCO World Heritage Site
#100waysoftravel
If you are visiting Chengdu, dont miss this incredible water irrigation system : The Dujiangyan. Located near Chengdu in Sichuan Province, China, is an ancient and ingenious water management system that has operated continuously for over 2,000 years. Built during the Qin Dynasty around 256 BCE by the engineer Li Bing and his son, this UNESCO World Heritage site is a masterpiece of sustainable engineering and remains essential to the region’s agricultural and water management.
What made this irrigation system outstanding is because, unlike typical dams, Dujiangyan doesn’t block the Min River but instead diverts water through a series of channels, ensuring natural water flow and preventing flooding. This open design reduces sediment build-up, maintaining the ecosystem and riverbed.
This irrigation system has protected the Sichuan basin from floods and droughts for centuries, irrigating more than 5,300 square kilometers (about 2,000 square miles) of farmland. It significantly contributes to the region’s agricultural productivity, allowing the Chengdu Plain to thrive as one of China's most fertile areas.
The most popular photo spot in Dujiangyan is Anlan Suspension Bridge, a traditional wooden suspension bridge spans the Min River, providing visitors with a thrilling and scenic view of the waterway and surrounding mountains Originally built over 1,000 years ago, the bridge has been reconstructed with modern materials while preserving its historical charm. Crossing the bridge offers great photo opportunities and a chance to feel part of the ancient landscape.

🇨🇳 My Day Exploring Dujiangyan with a Local Guide
#localtourguides #100waysoftravel
My unforgettable day in Dujiangyan, guided by a local expert, began with a visit to the renowned Dujiangyan Panda Base. It was a joy to see giant pandas up close, roaming in their well-maintained habitats, which offered a glimpse into ongoing conservation efforts aimed at preserving these magnificent creatures.
After meeting the pandas, we headed to the ancient Dujiangyan Irrigation System. This UNESCO World Heritage site, established in 256 BC, showcases an impressive feat of engineering that has been pivotal in flood prevention and agricultural irrigation over the centuries. Walking through this historical marvel, I gained a deep appreciation for China’s rich engineering history and cultural depth.
We also strolled across the scenic Nanqiao Bridge in the center of Dujiangyan. This beautiful bridge, with its traditional architectural features, provided perfect photo opportunities and a peaceful moment to take in the local ambiance.
To cap off the day, I savored the local flavors of Sichuan with a spicy hotpot meal, followed by a variety of mouth-watering skewers. The food was not only delicious but also an essential part of the cultural experience, highlighting the region’s culinary heritage.
This day tour of Dujiangyan was a perfect blend of nature, history, and cuisine, making it a memorable part of my visit to Chengdu.

Chengdu never disappoints. The forest cabin in the movie is here!
🌿Nature is a good energy field. Go to the mountains to breathe deeply, see the greenery, and encounter unknown beauty. An hour and a half from downtown Chengdu, I found this private hot spring B&B wrapped in greenery in Qingcheng Back Mountain. It's like entering a fairy tale world, and it's like breaking into a forest cabin in a movie. 🌳✨
🍃Here, even breathing becomes pure! 🧘♀️Sit quietly and daze, empty, time seems to slow down, let people forget their troubles😌💕✍️You can also write and taste tea, enjoy this rare tranquility and comfort! 🦀There is a small stream next to the B&B, and it must be fun to come here to play in the water and catch small crabs in summer🦀💦🛁Tired, go back to the room and soak in a private hot spring, and the body and mind are soothed! 🛁💖
🌈About playing:
✔️It takes about 1.5 hours to depart from downtown Chengdu, and there are many bends in the mountain road, so drive slowly.
There are beautiful scenery all the way, full of green, fresh air in the mountains, let us stop frequently. There are also farmhouses along the way, and the aunts and uncles who sell bamboo shoots and farm dishes on the roadside are warmly greeted.
✔️There are 13 guest rooms in the B&B, each room is equipped with a private hot spring♨️. Every step outside the room is a beautiful scenery. The wooden cabin is very atmospheric for taking pictures. Fresh flowers can be seen everywhere. If you see flowers, you will be happy. It is very comfortable to stay here.
✔️Surrounding play: Qingcheng Mountain, Jiezi Ancient Town, Daguan Town

Visit Dujiangyan in Chengdu, Sichuan to see the legendary blue tears.
🚶🏻♂️How can you not see the core "essence" of Dujiangyan when you come to Dujiangyan? The Dujiangyan Irrigation System is a grand irrigation project that is the oldest in the world, the only one that remains, and is characterized by damless water diversion. It is the solid foundation for Chengdu and even Sichuan to enjoy life.
🗺Non-hiking route:
Qinyan Tower ➡ Anlan Cable Bridge ➡ Fish Mouth ➡ Feisha Weir ➡ Yungong Road ➡ Qingxi Garden
🟣Qinyan Tower
Take a bus to the entrance of Qinyan Tower, and the river breeze will lead you to the top of Qinyan Tower. Go up one more floor and you can include the entire Dujiangyan Irrigation System in your heart.
🟣Qingxi Garden
After crossing the Anlan Cable Bridge, follow the route and you will encounter the Fish Mouth and Feisha Weir. You will then reach the end of this "simple tour" - Qingxi Garden.
🟣Nanqiao
Various paintings, carved beams and painted buildings, folk colored sculptures, and calligraphy couplets are integrated to create this important bridge to the south of Guanxian County.
🟣West Street
A small street less than 400 meters long contains various types of shops such as catering, specialty products, cultural and creative, and homestays.
🟣Dujiangyan Confucius Temple
In the temple, towering ancient trees cover the red walls and flowers, and the historical and cultural changes of the Confucius Temple can be seen everywhere. The simple atmosphere and the style of literati are emitted from the Confucius Temple.

In the next month, this ancient temple in Chengdu will be at its most beautiful.
In November, Chengdu will enter late autumn. In the depths of Lingyan Mountain in Dujiangyan, which is only an hour's drive from the city, the ancient temple will be breathtakingly beautiful! The redwoods, ginkgo trees, and morning mist complement each other, and you will be deeply amazed by the autumn scenery of this ancient temple in the mountains.
📍Location: Lingyan Temple, Dujiangyan, Chengdu.
🚗Transportation: It takes about 1 hour to drive from downtown Chengdu, and you can park directly in the parking lot of Lingyan Temple.
The forest on Lingyan Mountain is lush in summer, and it is green and dripping. However, when it comes to late autumn, it changes completely, with colorful colors, as if nature has overturned the paint bucket. Especially from the aerial view, it is simply beautiful to the extreme! I went to Lingyan Temple last week. At present, the water fir has begun to turn yellow, and most of the ginkgo trees are still yellow and green. According to this trend, it is expected that in the next November, it will be the most beautiful moment here, which is really exciting! It is best to go to Lingyan Temple in the early morning. If you encounter fog, you will understand what a fairyland is.

An Enchanting Encounter: Spotting Red Pandas in Panda Valley
#animalcontact
Panda Valley, nestled in the lush greenery near Chengdu, offers a rare and enchanting experience for wildlife enthusiasts—the chance to see red pandas in their natural habitat. This serene sanctuary not only focuses on the conservation of the giant panda but also provides a safe haven for the smaller, equally captivating red panda.
A Peaceful Natural Setting
The environment of Panda Valley is meticulously maintained to mirror the natural forest habitat of red pandas, featuring bamboo thickets and leafy trees that create a tranquil wilderness. The area is quiet and well-organized, allowing visitors to observe these elusive creatures without causing distress.
Magical Moments with Red Pandas
Spotting a red panda as it navigates through the foliage or lazily lounges on a tree branch is a magical experience. These creatures, with their striking red fur and bushy tails, are not only a delight to watch but also offer a deeper appreciation for the beauty of biodiversity. They are usually active during the cooler parts of the day, so early morning or late afternoon visits offer the best chances for sightings.
Conservation and Education
Panda Valley is committed to the conservation of red pandas, and educational signs throughout the area provide visitors with information about the species and the efforts being made to protect them. The sanctuary not only allows you to witness these wonderful animals but also educates about the critical need for conservation in a world where wildlife is increasingly threatened.
Visitor Tips
- Best Viewing Practices: To increase your chances of seeing red pandas, move quietly and keep noise to a minimum. These shy creatures are sensitive to disturbances.
- Photography: Bring a good camera with a zoom lens to capture detailed photos from a distance, as getting too close can disturb the pandas.
- Support Conservation: Consider donating to or supporting programs that focus on red panda conservation to help ensure their survival for generations to come.

Sichuan | Dujiangyan | A water conservancy legend and a treasure of the Land of Abundance.
On the charming land of Sichuan, there is a place called Dujiangyan. It is like a dazzling pearl, shining with the brilliance of history and nature.
Dujiangyan, a water conservancy project with a history of more than 2,000 years, is a crystallization of human wisdom. It cleverly uses the terrain and water flow to tame the surging water of the Minjiang River, making it nourish the fertile land of the Chengdu Plain. Since then, the Chengdu Plain, which was once plagued by drought and flood, has become the Land of Abundance, where "water and drought are controlled by man, and there is no hunger or famine."
Walking in Dujiangyan, you can feel the weight of history. The ancient dams and rushing water seem to tell the story of the diligence and wisdom of the ancients. The Fish Mouth, Feisha Weir, and Baopingkou, these ingenious designs, have withstood the test of time and still play an important role.
Not only is there a spectacular water conservancy project here, but there is also picturesque natural scenery. The green mountains and clear waters are surrounded by fresh and pleasant air. Walking along the river, listening to the sound of the surging river, feeling the comfort of the breeze on your face, it is refreshing.
Dujiangyan, Sichuan, a place that has witnessed historical changes and carries human wisdom. Its charm lies not only in its great water conservancy project, but also in its cultural heritage and natural beauty. Come here, feel the legend of a thousand years, and appreciate the unique charm of the treasure of the Land of Abundance.

First time visiting Dujiangyan, please copy this day tour route
💕 As the backyard and summer resort of Chengdu people, it is strongly recommended that those who travel to Chengdu should definitely reserve a day for Dujiangyan. Compared to Chengdu, this place is more fun and the scenery is more beautiful. Here, you can not only see cute giant and red pandas, but also retro and artistic streets, as well as the cool and pleasant evening breeze at Nanqiao. 💕
🚏 Route: Chengdu - Panda Valley - Yingtianwo Square - Guanxian Ancient City - Wenmiao Street/Wenmiao Mountain Street - West Street/Ming City Wall - Nanqiao - Chengdu
🚄 Chengdu - Dujiangyan: You can take a 30-minute bullet train from Xipu to Lidui Park Station, or take a tourist bus from Chunxi Road.
📍 Panda Valley:
Compared to the Panda Base in Chengdu, the environment here is more natural and primitive. There are more than 10 giant pandas and more than 20 red pandas in the park. You can see all the pandas by following the scenic route, but the red pandas are at the innermost part, so whether you can see them depends on your luck. Remember to book tickets in advance, 55r/person.
📍 Yingtianwo Square:
There is a huge selfie panda here, which is a must-visit spot in Dujiangyan. You can take photos like Dilraba Dilmurat. Moreover, it is very close to Lidui Park Station, and only 200 meters away from Xuanhua Gate of Guanxian Ancient City.
📍 Guanxian Ancient City:
This ancient city of Guanxian was built during the Northern and Southern Dynasties and is an ancient city that has accompanied the thousand-year-old Dujiangyan. It retains many buildings from the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Today, the ancient city serves as a supporting facility for the Dujiangyan Scenic Area, with many delicious foods and interesting shops inside.
📍 Wenmiao Street/Wenmiao Mountain Street:
Wenmiao Street is lined with antique ornaments, and there are three big characters "Dujiangyan" which are great for photos. At the end of the street, there is a cultural and creative shop, which is also great for photos. Wenmiao Mountain Street has many unique coffee shops, and Li Coffee at the corner is very popular.
📍 West Street/Ming City Wall:
West Street, built along the mountain, is the starting point of the Guansong Tea Horse Road. It still retains the old Chengdu style, with various foods and many artistic shops, making it very suitable for leisurely strolling and experiencing its unique charm.
📍 Nanqiao:
Nanqiao is an important passage connecting the ancient city and the Dujiangyan Scenic Area. The bridge corridor is designed in the style of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. At night, the breeze with water vapor gently blows, which is very cool. Under the lights, the water appears light blue, which is what people call "blue tears". It's really beautiful.
🏕 Surrounding attractions: Dujiangyan Scenic Area, Qingcheng Mountain, Zhongshu Pavilion, these attractions are also worth visiting.

🚇 Take the Chengdu subway to Xipu Station, Exit A1
Transfer to the tourist bus line to Lidui Park Station (10 yuan)
⚠️ It is recommended to visit Panda Valley first (take the tourist bus directly to Panda Valley from Lidui Park), then take the tourist bus line back to Lidui Park Station, and start Citywalk from Yangtianwo Square
-
🌟 Tour route:
1️⃣ Yangtianwo Square
Get off at Lidui Park Station and you will see the same giant panda as Dilraba's selfie! Start taking photos as soon as you get off the bus. You can stand on the head of the panda and take photos in the same pose as the panda, or you can take photos on the stairs of the panda's head.
2️⃣ Guanxian Ancient City Xuanhua Gate
Yangtianwo Square is diagonally across the street from the Xuanhua Gate of Guanxian Ancient City.
3️⃣ Guanxian Ancient City
Once you enter through the Xuanhua Gate, you are in Guanxian Ancient City. There are many shops and restaurants along the way. You will pass through Baifu Gate and the Water Conservancy Office Ruins.
4️⃣ Yuelu Mountain
Walk forward from the Water Conservancy Office and you will reach Yuelu Mountain (take this route to Dujiangyan Scenic Area). The City God Temple is also on the mountain. If you don't want to go, you can walk towards Wenmiao Street on the right.
5️⃣ Wenmiao Street
There are many second-hand items on display along the way, which feels like the 1980s. Walk down Wenmiao Street and pass by Wenmiao. The red wall outside is also a great place to take photos! You can also visit Wenmiao. There is no entrance fee. There are shops and noodle restaurants with Dujiangyan stickers on the opposite side.
6️⃣ Wenmiaoshan Street
Take a break and have a cup of coffee here. Li coffee, where many people take photos, is at the end of Wenmiao Street.
7️⃣ Nanjie➡️ Xijie
At the intersection of Nanxi Street, there is a 200-meter-long ancient city wall - Ming City Wall. You can also overlook the ancient city from the wall.
8️⃣ Langqiao
The lights turn on at 7:00 every day. The Langqiao at night is completely different from the Langqiao during the day. It's so beautiful! It looks green to the naked eye, but it's blue when you take photos with your phone. It's really amazing!
9️⃣ Yangheliu Snack Street (Lou Wai Lou Snack Street)
A night market street with tons of snacks! It's all in one place!
-
That's the end of the day's itinerary. If you want to return to Chengdu, take a car🚗 from Lidui Park.
If you don't want to return, you can find a hotel in Guanxian Ancient City and continue to have fun the next day!

#forest #100waysoftravel
Nestled in the lush expanse of Chengdu's Panda Valley, the giant pandas thrive in a forest that closely mimics their natural habitat. This expansive area is specifically designed to provide these beloved creatures with an environment that not only supports their health and well-being but also aids in the conservation efforts for their species.
The forest in Panda Valley is vast and diverse, featuring a mix of bamboo groves, meandering streams, and dense foliage that offers the pandas ample space to roam, forage, and exhibit their natural behaviors. This setup is crucial for their physical health and psychological well-being, as it allows them to live as they would in the wild, navigating the terrain, climbing trees, and interacting with the environment in ways that are instinctual to them.
Visitors to Panda Valley can observe these majestic animals lounging in the shade of towering trees, munching lazily on bamboo, or playfully wrestling with each other in open clearings. The forest’s design carefully incorporates elements that encourage the pandas to explore and engage with their surroundings, ensuring that they remain active and stimulated.
Conservationists and researchers at Panda Valley utilize this forest setting not only to provide a safe haven for pandas but also to study their behaviors and health in an environment that closely resembles their natural habitat. This research is vital for developing effective conservation strategies and understanding the needs of pandas in the wild.
The significance of the forest habitat extends beyond the well-being of the pandas—it also serves as an educational tool for visitors. By witnessing pandas in a setting that mirrors their natural conditions, visitors gain a deeper appreciation and understanding of the importance of conservation efforts and the challenges these animals face in the wild.
In summary, the forest in Chengdu's Panda Valley is more than just a home for its resident giant pandas; it is a cornerstone of conservation, a natural classroom for visitors, and a living laboratory for scientists. It represents a commitment to the preservation and understanding of one of the world's most cherished and endangered species.

Just got back! Current situation of Qingcheng Back Mountain! Decide whether to come after reading
🌿Qingcheng Back Mountain, as the backyard of Chengdu, is also a summer resort! 📝Please accept this detailed guide of an easy hiking route made by locals!
Hiking routes of Qingcheng Back Mountain:
Small Loop:
Taian Ancient Town——Wulong Valley——Longyin Plank Road——Youyicun——Jinli Cableway down——Taian Ancient Town (This is the route we took. Normally it takes more than two hours, but with the weekend crowd and taking photos, it took us about four hours)
.
Medium Loop:
Taian Ancient Town——Feiquan Valley——Baiyun Ancient Village——Baiyun Cableway down——Wulong Valley——Taian Ancient Town
.
Large Loop:
Taian Ancient Town——Wulong Valley——Longyin Plank Road——Youyicun——Baiyun Temple——Cuiying Lake——Feiquan Valley——Taian Ancient Town
.
Personal suggestion:
For beginners or those who want to take photos, take the small loop. The Longyin Plank Road section is the most beautiful, and there are many small waterfalls in Wulong Valley. The scenery behind is not as good. For hardcore hiking enthusiasts, you can complete the large loop.
.
Transportation:
Self-driving🚗 can directly navigate to Taian Ancient Town parking lot🅿️. Really come early on weekends. We checked the map at around ten o'clock, and the road outside was already seriously congested. When we went out at one o'clock, we also found that it was very congested outside.
Public transportation: First take the train from Xipu Station🚄 to Qingchengshan Station, then take the minibus at the station next to Qingchengshan Station to the back mountain, directly to the entrance of Taian Ancient Town.
.
Other Tips:
1. There are snacks sold along the hiking route, and you can also bring some water and snacks yourself.
2. There are not many toilets, so try to drink less water.

A must in Chengdu! Chengdu main’s attractions! 🐼 Giant Panda Base
The China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda Dujiangyan Base is a post-earthquake reconstruction project in Sichuan Wolong Nature Reserve funded by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government. It is 760 mus and close to the Giant Panda Habitat World Nature Heritage Area. The Base is dedicated to the conservation, research and education in the giant panda disease prevention and control, wild rescue, international cooperation and public science education.
The Sichuan mountains is known for being the natural habitat of pandas, and seeing them in the flesh is the main reason why tourists visit Chengdu. The Dujiangyan Panda base is one of the few panda conservation centers, and is located more than an hour away from Chengdu. The place is like a big zoo with many giant pandas, a few red pandas, and moon bears housed in individual enclosures. One major tip when visiting this place is that you must go there early or as soon as they open. This is because the giant pandas tend to sleep when noon approaches due to the sun’s heat. They are more active earlier in morning, and the chances of seeing them walking around are higher. The giant pandas are lazy, slow, have a huge appetite, and act nonchalant in the presence of people. You can only view most of the giant pandas from afar so it’s difficult to take a good photo of them unless you have a camera with a good zoom lens. The panda base has a souvenir shop inside, and there are many vendors selling panda souvenirs outside as well.
Duration: More than 3 hours
The main purpose of travelling to Chengdu will be visiting The Giant Panda Base.
All the giant panda was so adorable!!!

🧾Travel Route:
✔️Yangtianwo Square: There are super cute selfie pandas here, make sure to take a photo with this famous landmark.
✔️Wenmiao Street: There are many second-hand items from the 80s here, taking photos here is super retro and full of a sense of the era, and there is also a temple to visit.
✔️Wenmiao Mountain Street: It is known as the little Seoul of Dujiangyan. On a hillside, there are many coffee shops along the road, and any random shot can turn out great.

🕌Accommodation Recommendations:
If you only go for a day trip, it might be a bit rushed, so it's recommended to stay in Dujiangyan for a night to fully experience the oxygen-rich life surrounded by nature⛰️.
Aroma·Book Fragrance·Qingcheng Mountain, it is located halfway up Qingcheng Mountain. The entire homestay is surrounded by mountains and forests, the temperature is particularly pleasant, and the air is incredibly fresh. Its design style leans towards a wooden bookish style, with large floor-to-ceiling windows offering an excellent visual experience. The rooftop terrace is a highlight, where you can overlook the rolling mountains, scattered forests, and curling smoke in the distance... Wow, you are instantly healed.
💕Dujiangyan is truly a charming place, come and start a wonderful journey here.

The beautiful scenery of Mount Qingcheng is truly stunning and worth a visit
Known as 'Seeking the Way at Mount Qingcheng,' it enjoys the reputation of 'The Most Secluded Place in the World.' This place is famous for its natural landscape, surrounded by peaks, lush forests, and evergreen trees throughout the year. Mount Qingcheng is divided into two parts: the front mountain and the back mountain. The front mountain is primarily focused on Taoist culture, with numerous ancient sites and Taoist temples such as Tianshi Cave and Shangqing Palace. The back mountain is known for its natural scenery, offering tranquil views suitable for hiking and summer retreats. The air in Mount Qingcheng is fresh, with a high content of negative oxygen ions, making people feel physically and mentally pleasant. The architectural complexes here blend seamlessly with the mountains and forests, giving a sense of tranquility and harmony.
