I’ve seen a lot of beautiful places, but this… this might be one of the most breathtaking spots on earth. Towering karst mountains rise up out of misty green rice paddies, the Li River winds gently through quiet villages, and every view looks like an ancient scroll painting come to life. It’s peaceful, it’s cinematic – and I honestly fell in love with it. Orange blossom was in bloom when I visited, filling the air with this light, sweet scent as I cycled along the riverside paths. Locals waved, the sun peeked through the haze, and it just felt like time slowed down. Whether you’re rafting down the Yulong River, hiking up to Moon Hill, or just sipping tea with a view – Yangshuo is pure magic.
