Giant Wild Goose Pagoda Location and Background: The Giant Wild Goose Pagoda Square was built in 589 AD. It is one of the landmarks of Xi'an and is based on the famous Buddhist holy site, the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda. The Tang Dynasty monk Xuanzang once translated Buddhist scriptures here, adding to its historical and cultural heritage. Cultural Features: The square is a beautiful garden and a great place for Xi'an residents to enjoy, gather, and relax. Professor Huo Songlin, a master of Chinese studies, once wrote a poem praising its beauty. Musical Fountain: The musical fountain in the north square of the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda is a highlight of the square. There are four performances every day, at 12:00–12:10, 16:00–16:10, 19:00–19:10, and 21:00–21:10. Please note that the 12:00 and 16:00 performances are canceled every Tuesday due to regular maintenance. Performance times may be adjusted due to weather conditions. Transportation: Visitors can take Xi'an Metro Line 3 or 4 to Dayan Pagoda Station and walk to the square.
