Cafe Batavia

Cafe Batavia is beside Fatahillah Square of Jakarta. In classical surroundings, a small stage will have a jazz band perform at specified time. You are not allowed to take professional camera inside. Main dishes include coffee, Indonesian and Netherlandish food and American cuisine. Highly recommend a cup of Indonesian civet coffee, Kopi Luwak.

Cafe Batavia

This restaurant is such a unique place and I think one of the most memorable restaurants I've ever been to in my life. This restaurant is located in the Kota Tua (Old Town) of Jakarta. Do not be surprised if see more foreigners than Indonesian people here. This restaurant preserved its colonial design and structure since 1837. Enjoy your seating in the classy wooden chairs with your selected local food such as Soto Betawi, Nasi Campur, or their signature Batavia Fried Rice. When you walk through the doors, it's like walking back in time. The building has a rich history that is part of the fabric of Jakarta. This place is a little bit pricey, but absolutely worth it if you are in the area. Not to be missed when visiting Jakarta. #urbanexplorer #tripfoodie #tripfoodie#urbanexplorer
