Hidden gem of Colombia

The Tatacoa Desert is amazing if you're looking for something off the beaten path. It’s not heavily developed, so don’t expect many facilities—bring everything you might need. That said, it’s a great place to camp under the stars. The desert’s surreal landscape, with its red and gray rock formations, is perfect for exploring by foot or even by bicycle. Tip: it is easy to get lost. Seriously, he doesn't look like it's a dangerous place but when you walking in this maze for a few hours - it's really easy to get lost and lose sense of directions. Cellular connection isn't great, so make sure you have all your maps off-line on your GPS navigator does work, and bring lots of water and sunscreen.
