Eastin Hotel Vientiane

Hotel🏨: 1. The first night I stayed at a Lao hotel in the Chinese district of Sanjiang, which I didn't find very clean, so I don't recommend going there. You can't really get the unique charm of Vientiane in Sanjiang. 2. Eastin Hotel Vientiane, about 480RMB per night. This hotel is my top recommendation, where I stayed for 5 consecutive days. The hotel is quite new, and the front desk ladies are great. I heard that the owner is Thai, as is the designer, and it's very convenient to go to the Mekong Night Market. You must stay in a river view room, facing the Mekong River. Sitting and having a cup of coffee while enjoying the evening breeze is very pleasant. The breakfast is decent, with different stir-fried dishes every day. I recommend ordering a pancake, which I had every day. The swimming pool on the 4th floor is beautiful and usually not crowded, perfect for taking photos. The water is quite salty, without the smell of disinfectant, and it closes at 8 pm, so be sure to watch the time. The rooftop bar on the 9th floor is highly recommended, and I went there every day! (Almost everyone in the hotel speaks English well, except for the cleaning staff, and the front desk can speak some Chinese.) 3. Le Thatluang d’or Boutique Hotel. This hotel has a French style, with duplex suites on the third floor costing about 1300RMB per night, complete with a small balcony and a kitchenette. The standard rooms on the first floor are about 480RMB per night, with a small garden of about 4 square meters. The style of this hotel is worth experiencing, but the facilities are quite old, with even the toilet being wobbly and the bed sheets pilling. I asked the front desk to feel it, and they offered to change my room, but only twin rooms were available. The sheets were still pilling, so I ended up changing them myself, but the staff were very accommodating and brought me three sets of sheets. The breakfast is very basic, and you have to cross a street to get it. If you want pancakes or pizza, you have to pay extra, and they don't speak English, which makes communication difficult. This hotel is quite far from the night market, but if you want to experience the French style, it's worth a try.
