A Great Escape at Shangri-La Rasa Ria, Sabah.

I am based in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah and this is my 3rd staycation in this fantastic resort. This resort is about 40 mins drive from KK Town and I dropped by Kg Salut to get my favourite coconut pudding. There are basically all stalls selling the same coconut pudding but Gerai Sudi Mampir is highly recommended. I stayed at Ocean Wing Junior Suite Sea View King Room this time and the sea view was amazing! The room is spacious and comes with a big bathtub at the balcony (which could occupy 2 to 3 adults). There was nothing better in life than soaking myself in an oversized bathtub with a sea view! I must say that Sabah has one of the world’s best sunsets and this resort has the best spot for sunset watching! No joke. Apart from sunset, I also woke up at 5am for a sunrise hime at Rasa Ria Reserve. It was about 20mins hike to the peak and the sunrise view was breathtaking with a spectacular beachfront view and tropical forest. Lastly, not forget to mention that the Resort was serving ala carte breakfast menu and semi buffet. The foods were great and the staff services were efficient and attentive. Overall a wonderful resort to escape from busy work life!! #staycation #beachlife
