Visit Shibuya Sky to see Tokyo below

The newest observation deck to Tokyo, only opening in 2019, this is a must visit when you come to Tokyo. Located 47 floors above the ground and 229m high. I strongly advise you prebook your tickets in advance, particularly if you want to visit during sunset hours which books out weeks in advance. Unfortunately we missed out on sunset but visited with an 8.40pm time slot and were there until closing time at 10.30pm. There were definitely less people around right before closing, which was nice to experience. If I were to go again, I would arrive at least an hour before sunset and stay until it was dark. Make sure you have a 100yen coin with you as you’ll need to put all your belongings in a locker. You’ll get a bracelet with the locker key and then the coin will be returned to you once you’ve finished with the locker. You can only take your phone and a camera that has a strap that either fits in your pocket or hangs on your body. No other loose items. If you put your jacket on the ground while taking photos, security will also ask you to pick it up. There’s also a laser show on the outdoor rooftop which is cool to see. #tokyo
