The Voice of Art: A Stroll through Victoria Theatre and Concert Hall

By the Singapore River, Victoria Theatre and Concert Hall captivate every visitor with their neoclassical architectural style. When the sunlight falls on the pristine white facade, it seems to cloak this historic art sanctuary in a golden glow. Stepping into the theatre, the spacious foyer, high ceilings, and intricate carved pillars take one's breath away, as if stepping into a time tunnel. Strolling through the exhibition halls, I was introduced to its long history since 1862, serving as both a theatre and a cultural activity center, witnessing countless historical events and artistic gatherings. Inside the concert hall, the grand pipe organ stands silently, as if waiting for the next symphony to resonate. In one corner of the exhibition, I read about how Victoria Theatre has carried the development of art and urban culture, deeply feeling Singapore's appreciation and inheritance of art. As I left, the twilight of the evening harmoniously painted the theatre and its surroundings like a picture.
