Jurong Bird Park

Very little crowd (on an April Friday afternoon) which was both sad and good - good seats & view for the scheduled shows and peaceful walk as if around your own large secret garden. A number of iguanas roamed free along the pathways - almost stepped into one. The birds were pretty active and it was intriguing to watch them in their own zones, some in open spaces yet they do not tend to fly away/escape. Some interesting spots to me are Wetlands, African Treetop (has an air-conditioned café), Toucans and Hornbills and Pelican Cove. Limited and pricey F&B options - would have brought my own bites & picnic snacks. Tram rides are chargeable at $5 per adult. Parking rate was under $5 for the 3 to 4 hours we were there. Recommend to wear insect repellent to reduce mozzie bites. #urbanexplorer
