Royal Sword

#bucketlistreboot Preah Khan was built in the 12th century by King Jayavarman VII, it was originally built as a Buddhist temple and the name means Royal Sword, because it is the site of a victorious battle against the invading Chams, just 4 kilometers 7 minutes drive away from Neak Pean. It is part of the Grand Circuit within Angkor Park. There are four gates that allow entry, each had a causeway over the moat. The main entrance is tge eastern one, where there are ruins of a landing stage and two lions standing guard. The outer wall had a 5 metres tall Garudas fighting Naga snakes. Preah Khan is a stunning temple which has the junglein the surroundings, arrive in the early morning to get some great photo opportunities.
