The hotel was formerly the East China Electric Power Building in Shanghai, located at the intersection of Nanjing East Road Pedestrian Street and the Bund. Design The hotel is full of tourists, but once you step into the hotel, you will see a custom chandelier by French architect Eric Schmitt hanging in the center of the lobby, which is 9.5 meters high. The whole space is full of luxury. The walnut-colored ceiling design not only shows the hotel's personality, but also creates a warm and comfortable home atmosphere. In such a lively and prosperous place, this is the first impression of the Shanghai EDITION. Room I was surprised when I walked into the room. The decoration design is simple, but the texture is very good. The wooden materials and carpet are very attractive, continuing the consistent style of the EDITION hotel, simple and luxurious. I like the position of the desk where you can see Lujiazui, which is transparent and spacious, and full of space. In addition, the guest rooms are decorated with black and white photography works by the famous Asian artist Wing Shya, which form a sharp contrast with the modern landscape outside the window, evoking people's memories of the history of this city. Dining The hotel's dining is quite good. Breakfast is in the form of a semi-buffet. You can have a proper Shanghai breakfast here, and you can also order Western food. I am very satisfied. I also experienced afternoon tea at the Japanese restaurant. Unfortunately, the weather was bad and it rained later, so I didn't go to the rooftop bar for a drink. I'll leave it for next time. Facilities The hotel also offers a wide range of leisure facilities, including a swimming pool on the 5th floor and a 24-hour fitness center on the 7th floor. The swimming pool seems to be carved from the Seine stones on the mountainside of ancient Rome, and you can overlook the bustling scenery of Nanjing East Road while swimming.
