Indian Canyons

#thingstodo The Indian Canyons are simply stunning to say the least- there are a wide array of trails, seasonal creeks and waterfalls and a cute gift shop with outdoor seating and nearby restrooms! It is one of our favorite places for a family hike. There is an entry fee alm Canyon is one of the areas of great beauty in Western North America. Its indigenous flora and fauna, which the Cahuilla people so expertly used, and its abundant Washingtonia filifera (California Fan Palm) are breathtaking contrasts to the stark rocky gorges and barren desert lands beyond. We did these trails, recommend it Palm Canyon Trail - 2.6 miles easy Andrea's Canyon - 1.5 miles easy West Fork Fall - 300 meters easy Murray Canyon to Wayward Mine Trail - 6 miles hard but worth it. Finished all trails in 6 hours with breaks . One of our favorite hiking locations and HIGHLY recommended..! Specifically the Palm Canyon, Andreas Canyon, and Murray Canyon / Seven Sisters hikes. Admission was $12 / adult but they did provide a nice first responder free admission, too..! Bathrooms with water stations were available and we had cell reception through most of the park. Make sure you bring water - but the Trading Post has Gatorade or water if needs be for very reasonable prices..! Recommended Electrolytes, water, hat, and good comfortable shoes with good grip, something saltine will help if you want to do all of them. They have bathrooms in every trail before start. Enjoy the trails and please leave no trace.
