Zhan Shan Temple

Zhan Shan Temple, also known as Zhan Shan Lecture Temple, is located at No. 12 Zhi Quan Road, on the southern foothills of Mount Tai Ping in Qingdao, China, and is the only Buddhist temple in the city area. It is the youngest venue of the Tiantai sect of Buddhism in China. Zhan Shan Temple complex is arranged in the classical Chinese temple axial layout, facing south with the back to the north, overlooking the Yellow Sea. The temple architecture consists of five courtyards, with additional east and west wing courtyards and ancillary rooms. Little tips: At the entrance, there is a life-release pond where you can feed fish. The magnolia flowers at the entrance are in full bloom. There is incense available for free in front of every hall (some are placed on stone fences), and at the Dharma distribution center, you can get various prayer beads (with different prices, the white bodhi beads I bought were ¥15) and sachets (¥20 each), as well as packaging bags (¥8 RMB).
