Stunning ancient wooden architecture

Small Karelians Museum nearby Archangelsk city turned to be more than I expected! I went in the autumn, and it was such a cool experience. I had no clue that old wooden architecture can be so detailed and beautiful ♥️ The old wooden buildings: churches, houses, and windmills—are amazing. My favorite were windmills cause Ive never seen those before. The craftsmanship in the wood is really impressive once you get up close. The place is surrounded by a peaceful Karelian forest. And autumn colors made everything even more beautiful. The trees were full of gold, and the whole place was so calm and quiet. It was an overcast day but I did not mind, it added some charm and mystery to the place. #europetrip #russia
