Beautiful Phu-Quoc

Phu Quoc surprised me in the best possible way. Most people picture the huge beach resorts and all-inclusive hotels… but the island becomes truly magical once you step away from that bubble. I stayed in the small city center instead of a big resort, and it completely changed my experience. Every morning started with local cafés brewing strong Vietnamese coffee, street vendors preparing fresh bánh mì, and a pace of life that felt authentic and warm. The locals were incredibly welcoming, always ready to point me toward their favorite hidden corners of the island. Renting a scooter or taking a grab and exploring the beaches on my own turned into the highlight of the trip. I discovered quiet stretches of sand with crystal-clear water, tiny beach shacks grilling seafood, and sunsets that felt like they belonged only to me. No crowds, no noise, just nature and freedom.
