Dacheng Hall of Confucius Temple.

The Dacheng Hall of Nanjing Confucius Temple is located in the Qinhuai District of Nanjing, in the core area of the Qinhuai Scenic Belt of Confucius Temple. It is the main hall of Nanjing Confucius Temple, with a height of 16.22 meters, a width of 28.1 meters, and a depth of 21.7 meters. In the center of the hall hangs the largest portrait of Confucius in China, with a height of 6.50 meters and a width of 3.15 meters. The temple is furnished with replicas of 15 ancient musical instruments used in Confucius worship ceremonies 2,500 years ago, such as chime bells and chime stones. Regular performances of ancient music and elegant music are held, as well as large-scale Ming Dynasty Confucius worship music and dance performances reflecting the Confucius worship rituals of the Ming Dynasty. These performances allow the audience to hear the music of bells and drums, and the sound of zithers and lutes from the Spring and Autumn Period, showcasing the ancient music style from over 2,000 years ago. The walls around the main hall are decorated with murals depicting the life of Confucius, capturing both his form and spirit. The temple courtyard is surrounded by a stele gallery with two wings, with 30 pieces of calligraphy by famous calligraphers such as Zhao Puchu, Lin Sanzhi, Shen Peng, and Wu Zhongqi embedded in the walls. The stele gallery also houses an exhibition of Yuhua stones, known as "a unique treasure of China." The Dacheng Hall also frequently hosts other historical relics and art exhibitions to promote the long-standing culture of the Chinese nation.
