The lake covers 80 mu, with a maximum depth of 4 meters. Historically, Yanque Lake was quite famous. The ancient Yanque Lake and Xuanwu Lake were the two largest lakes in ancient Nanjing, with Zhongshan Mountain as the boundary. Xuanwu Lake is to the west of Zhongshan Mountain, known as the Back Lake; Yanque Lake is to the south of Zhongshan Mountain, known as the Front Lake. In ancient times, the banks of Yanque Lake were covered with reeds, and various waterfowl often inhabited the area. It was also an important water source for the upper reaches of Qingxi River. Zhu Yuanzhang, the founding emperor of the Ming Dynasty, filled in the ancient Yanque Lake to build the Ming Palace in Nanjing. The remaining part was separated outside the city wall, becoming today's Front Lake and Pipa Lake. It's cloudy here today. I wonder what the weather is like in Shijiazhuang?
