It is open from Monday to Friday from 0800-2000, Saturday from 0800-1800, closed on Sunday, public holiday. This market reopened on 15/09/22, after a demanding restoration and modernization work to welcome traders, customers and visitors. In the new and improved Mercado do Bolhao, the traditional fresh produce stalls, tinned fish shop and florists are still there, with the addition of a few new venues, such as cheesemongers and coffee shops, just to name fews. There are 79 stalls, 38 outdoor stores and 10 restaurants to serve locals and visitors.
