Xishuangbanna + Pu'er 6-Day 5-Night Travel Guide (Easy Version)

📝With elderly people and children in our group, we prioritized a relaxed and stress-free trip. After extensive research, we opted for a local all-inclusive RV tour. One RV per family was perfect, and the 6-day, 5-night trip was hassle-free! 💛Day 1: Landing in Xishuangbanna As soon as we exited the airport, our driver greeted us with a flag 🚩, took our luggage, and led us directly to the hotel! After settling in, we strolled through the Starlight Night Market – lots of delicious food and fun things to do, very interesting! 💛Day 2: Chinese Academy of Sciences Botanical Garden + Manyuan Village A five-sense challenge: identifying plants blindfolded using touch, smell, and other senses! We visited Manyuan Village and checked out the mushroom house featured in the TV show "Back to the Countryside." We also learned to make Dai pottery (which we couldn't take home that day). In the evening, we enjoyed a local Wa King's banquet, which was very characteristic of the local culture. Afterwards, we went back to the hotel to rest. 💛Day 3: Rainforest Trekking The whole family was genuinely happy today. We painted stones with paint🎨, climbed trees, swung on swings, and ate sour ants. The guide was very professional and even showed us many exotic flowers and plants (and helped hold the kids). The rainforest lunch was unique, and the butler prepared a fruit afternoon tea🫖 for us. We also had a wild mushroom hot pot🍲 in the evening—we ate a lot! We also went on a rainforest night exploration, which the kids loved. 💛Day 4: Wild Elephant Valley + Pu'er Hot Spring Hotel Check-in We took the green channel and participated in a customized activity exclusive to our group. We had close encounters with elephants in Wild Elephant Valley, feeding and bathing them🐘, and learning to play the elephant foot drum. We received certificates at the end of the trip! We had an elephant-themed lunch, experiencing the healthy diet of elephants. In the afternoon, we went to Pu'er. The hotel was huge, with a hot spring pool, water park, and more. We played so much at the hotel that we didn't want to leave! 💛Day 5: Sun River Forest Park Our guide explained the flora and fauna along the way. A self-guided trip wouldn't be as fulfilling. The animals here are all interactive; the red pandas 🐼 were so cute! In the afternoon, we went to a coffee plantation and stayed in a mountain-view villa within the estate. The scenery was beautiful, and the air was very fresh—my parents raved about it! In the evening, the tour arranged a sunset champagne barbecue 🍖 dinner. Enjoying the sunset while eating was incredibly pleasant! 💛Day 6: Coffee Plantation + Xishuangbanna (Return Trip) On the last day, we learned how to make coffee, from picking the coffee cherries to brewing. It was very rewarding, and we even made a sand art out of the coffee grounds! The beans in Yunnan are really good; I bought a few bags. After lunch at the manor, we headed back. The driver took us to Xishuangbanna to catch our flight. The whole trip was relaxing and not tiring at all. The staff were very responsible; the chef even cooked special meals for the kids who weren't used to the food. They also helped take photos of the kids along the way. And the scenery in Xishuangbanna is definitely worth a second visit. Overall, it was a very satisfying trip for the whole family! 👍
